Wilkes University presents Year of the Vote: Gender, Politics, & Power as a year-long celebration of suffrage, the ratification of the 19th amendment and women's right to vote.
As part of the YOV series which consists of monthly thematic lectures, special events, and monthly EqualiTEAS, the Right in the Kisser podcast will explore topics and issues women have both historically faced and are currently facing today. As the year progresses, the goal is to educate our community about the achievements of both our regional and national foremothers while also empowering all listeners to engage with their community throughout this monumental year. While much progress has been made in these 100 years, discussion about the future is a paramount component of the series.
Right in the Kisser is organized by Wilkes University faculty Mia Briceno, Ph. D., Ellen Newell, Ph. D., Lisa Reynolds, M.F.A., Kristen Rock, M.A., and Heather Sincavage, M.F.A.
