Periods and hormonal cycle, something half the population have to tackle.
I will confess I was pretty clueless about my monthly cycle and the changes than happen to the body throughout each month. I just knew each month I'd get a period and that was it, most probable because I was on hormonal contraceptives for close to 20 years!
I chose to stop the pill due to health reasons and to try to detox my system, it was then I discovered the impact of not actually having a period and this was not a normal or healthy state to be in.
After a few occasions of hypothalamic amenorrhea from over stressing my body I delved into the science of the period and my mind was blown, who knew and why was I not told about this at school?!
So, today's episode I share with you my learnings along they way to get a healthy and regular cycle back.
For me and my clients I started to move my body/exercise/rest around the stages of my monthly's, it was a game changer and years on I'm still on track with my clients time of their cycle and most importantly my our health.
