The color line in the United States is the set of social, economic, and political barriers that exist between racial groups. This makes experiences different since we have barriers that separate how we live our life based on race. The Color of one’s skin is the key factor in the rights and opportunities we receive in the United States. In this podcast, I will uncover the truth about these barriers and how they still live on today. I will share my stories about how the color line has affected me and my life. I will also explain W.E.B. Du Bois phrase “color line” and dig deeper into the meaning and the feelings behind it. Without the same rights and opportunities, people of color will continue to be oppressed by the same very barriers that affected W.E.B. Du Bois. The United States is deep-rooted in racism and it takes people willing to uproot it and weed it out.
