Nicole Cooley is a Professor of English and the Director and co-founder of the MFA Program in Creative Writing and Literary Translation at Queens College. Founded six years ago, the MFA program is the first and only such program in the borough of Queens, and it is also one of only two programs in the country to offer an MFA in literary translation. Cooley is the author of four books of poems, most recently Breach (Louisiana State University Press) and Milk Dress (Alice James Books), and a novel. She is currently at work on a new collection of poems and a non-fiction book project, My Dollhouse, Myself: Miniature Histories.
