Judith Sloan is an actress, audio artist, oral historian, writer, and educator whose work has aired on New York Public Radio, National Public Radio, and Third Coast International Audio Festival. She is co-founder of EarSay, an artist-driven, nonprofit organization bridging art and human rights in documentary and expressive forms. Her work has been produced in theatres, universities, and festivals throughout the U.S. and abroad, including the Public Theatre, the Theatre Workshop (Scotland), and the Smithsonian Institution. Her awards include First Place, Missouri Review Audio Competition, Narrative Essay (2008 and 2009), BAXten Artist Award, Special Merit Award National Federation of Community Broadcasters, and the Brendan Gill Prize.

Warren Lehrer is a writer and artist/designer known internationally as a pioneer in the fields of visual literature and design authorship. His books, acclaimed for capturing the shape of thought and reuniting the traditions of storytelling with the printed page, include Crossing the BLVD: strangers, neighbors, aliens in a New America (Norton) with Judith Sloan; The Portrait Series: a quartet of men (four-book series, Bay Press); and i mean you know (Visual Studies Workshop). Lehrer has received many awards for his books and projects, including the Brendan Gill Prize, three American Institute for Graphic Arts Book Awards, and two Type Directors Club Awards. The Crossing the BLVD exhibition (co-produced with Sloan) has been to 15 museums and galleries and continues to travel the country.
