As you can expect, such a radical shift in life experience naturally caused me to move away from the friends that I accrued in my brokenness. I now had a testimony that my peers didn’t have the capacity to understand. I also have layers of PTSD and I don’t feel safe around officers like I used to, nor do I have peace filling out applications when they ask “have you ever been arrested?” I desired the same passion that my peers had behind the innocent souls that have been murdered or wrongfully convicted in similar circumstances, to be for me, their friend who was still ALIVE to tell the story.
