Deborah Nadoolman Landis is an acclaimed costume designer, you must know her work from The Blues Brothers, Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Arch orThriller, Michael Jackson's cult video.
After a rich career as a costume designer, Deborah Landis went on with the second and equally exciting part of her career: costume historian, expert and teacher.
In the second episod of Profession : costumière season 2, Deborah Landis tells us how she became a designer (1:01) met her husband director John Landis (5:23), worked on The Blues Brothers, designing the iconic outfits of the two brothers (6:40) but also working with music legends such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Ray Charles (15:24).
She then shares her experience working with Michael Jackson for the music video of Thriller (18:55) and with Steven Spielberg on Raiders of the Lost Arch (26:24), creating of Indiana Jones' silhouette.
