! (Mathew 5: 13-20)- Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
!! 2nd Chronicles 13:5, explained/illustrate salt as a convenient of friendship and forever/generational bond with God.
!!! Time of burnt offering, salt was used by casting on the burnt offering and also was part of the incense. (Ezekiel 43:24), (Numbers 18:19).
Preservation: Salt was crucial for preserving food in a time when refrigeration did not exist. It inhibited the growth of bacteria and helped prevent food from spoiling.
Purity: Salt was considered a purifying agent and was often used in religious rituals to cleanse and purify offerings or sacrifices. This symbolism of purity extended to various cultural and religious practices.
