This is the official podcast for the Develop Your Spiritual Gifts website (www.mormonspiritualgifts.com).
There have been many cultural changes in both the world and in the LDS church in the last 100+ years and for many members, their more unique spiritual gifts are surrounded by fear of doing something wrong, or they are unable to identify what is happening to them. Many have been told that their gifts come from the devil or the gifts themselves are evil.
To those who face these feelings or are themselves questioning, we remind you of Moroni 7:12-14: "Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God...behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God. Wherefore, take heed my beloved brethren, that ye do not judge...that which is good and of God to be of the devil." So please note, this page is not for those who belittle or judge others' questions and experiences, however unfamiliar they may seem. Come with an open mind and heart, and you may be surprised what you may learn.
There is a reason so many of us are experiencing these gifts so strongly, now more than ever. These gifts are desperately needed as the evils of the world continue to flourish in astronomical ways. We need to develop and hold our light up to shine on this darkness and help the others around us who are struggling to follow that brighter pathway. Honing our spiritual gifts is one way we must prepare for the Savior's 2nd coming.
Come learn more about these gifts and seek earnestly with your brothers and sisters to develop them, that we all might be edified together.
“Seek ye earnestly the best gifts, always remembering for what they are given; For verily I say unto you, they are given for the benefit of those who love me and keep all my commandments, and him that seeketh so to do; that all may be benefited that seek or that ask of me…” (D&C 46:8-9)
