Throughout folktales around the world, large flying creatures often appear. Take the dragon for instance, people have been writing about these massive, terrifying, and beautiful creatures for centuries. And in more modern day tales, there's the Mothman, the “Birdman," or the Thunderbird. Many of these creatures have similar characteristics, and eyewitness reports are in the thousands. What they want with us is unclear, but it seems these kinds of creatures may be lurking amongst the shadows. So what would you do if one night, you heard the sound of a human baby crying outside your door? And when you peered out the window, you met the eyes of a 6 to 7 foot tall owl like creature with the face and hair of a woman? Or what if one night while visiting your loved ones in a cemetery, you whistled a tune, and something from the shadows whistled back? This is the story of La Lechuza.
