29. Over 40 and child-free.
0:51
Oh, my gosh, we're going to be 30 next week. We're
0:53
getting old. We are, I think we should have a surprise
0:56
30th birthday for ourselves. I
0:58
had a surprise 30th birthday party.
1:02
I want for our podcast. This idea,
1:05
I will throw ourselves the surprise party. Okay.
1:07
And then we'll jump out and say surprise.
1:09
Yes. And we'll surprise
1:11
each other. Maybe we'll have
1:13
a drinker too. That could be
1:15
a good idea. It could. There's
1:18
some really great fall recipes that I've been
1:20
saving. You know what we have not
1:22
done. When drinking episode? Yes.
1:24
We have not gone back and done the wine.
1:26
Yes. Maybe we should do that for sure.
1:30
I love this idea. Okay. All right. He's
1:32
good. That was just off the cuff right there. Okay. Well,
1:34
here's the thing. One of us
1:36
needs to remember. All right. Mom,
1:38
maybe you'll remember. I'm
1:41
a little tired today, so maybe
1:43
Helen can remind us. All right, Helen. Remind
1:46
us that next week, we're going to do our wine
1:49
episode. Okay.
1:51
Helen's here. And for those
1:53
of you who don't know who Helen is, it's my mama.
1:56
She was here helping out this weekend
1:58
because Nicole and I went on a little
2:00
road trip. Woo. So
2:03
she stayed and watched the little Winnie
2:05
girl. While we partied it
2:07
up, we partied it up. Yes. We
2:09
drove well down. We drove almost
2:12
five hours. So we had to go to
2:14
Virginia. And then home
2:16
was a much nicer trip on
2:18
the way home. It was only four hours probably
2:20
cause it wasn't confusing. Like the way down there. They
2:23
took us from Pennsylvania to West Virginia,
2:25
back to Virginia. Yes. However.
2:28
We did get to go to West Virginia because
2:31
we had to pull off because we needed to pee.
2:33
Is that why we pulled off? Yes. It
2:35
wasn't just to get energy during that. I think
2:37
it was to pee and get energy drinks. So.
2:40
Living in Pennsylvania, we don't really have
2:42
roundabouts. There's like one
2:44
here and there, but there. Pretty
2:47
easy. Jersey like
2:49
some roundabouts. It's still
2:51
not crazy. I'm not crazy. We
2:53
got off the exit in West Virginia.
2:56
And when I tell you we drove.
3:00
At least a mile, if not like two
3:02
miles. All in
3:04
roundabouts. Yeah. Every or
3:06
ever you would think there'd be an intersection with a light.
3:08
It was actually around about, it was around about,
3:11
and not only a one lane roundabout,
3:13
there were two lanes. That
3:16
would go left. One of the
3:18
lanes would go left or straight. And
3:20
then there was an actual third lane that
3:22
would either go straight or right. So
3:25
you had no idea where anyone was
3:27
going. I had no idea
3:29
which lane to be in and we just kept roundabout.
3:32
And we got off the exit
3:34
specifically to go to Sheetz because
3:37
we saw that there was a sheet sheets and we
3:39
knew there would be a decent bathroom. And
3:42
we kept driving and driving around all
3:44
of these roundabouts. But then I started
3:47
to get back on like a major. And
3:49
there were still no sheets. So we
3:51
had to drive back. Through the roundabouts.
3:54
Back the other way. Figure out
3:56
how to turn around in the roundabout, but
3:58
we made it, we made it. We didn't try to cancer
4:01
to go straight across the roundabouts, but yeah,
4:03
find out if she wants to do that. The best
4:06
part though, was when we first got off
4:08
the exit before we entered the first roundabout,
4:11
there was a car. I don't know if
4:13
the car had gotten into an accident or broke down,
4:15
but there was like a police car. So when
4:17
we came back, To
4:19
get back on the on, we
4:21
were on 81, I think at that point we
4:24
were going on to 81 and I
4:26
look over and Nicole's just waving. I
4:29
wasn't wanting to be friendly. I didn't want to die in West
4:31
Virginia, you know? The wanting to be friendly with the native.
4:33
So I waved to the state trooper. And
4:36
whoever the person was. They
4:38
did not wave back. No. Why
4:41
because a crazy woman was waving. I mean,
4:43
I wasn't raving like weirdly it was just
4:45
a very friendly wave. Maybe they're not that
4:47
friendly there. I don't know. Maybe
4:49
if you're not there, sister. How
4:53
do they know we missed out because Nicole
4:55
found online, was
4:57
it like the most incestual family
4:59
that lives in West Virginia? The
5:02
somethings, I don't know if you're on sick. They
5:05
asked me because with the w if you're on Tik
5:07
TOK at all, you've probably come across them.
5:09
The worst somethings. Yes. I
5:11
think they have their own documentary on Netflix,
5:14
maybe. Oh, we need to, we're going to need
5:16
to dive into this. It's an interesting, They
5:18
apparently came from a set of twin brothers
5:20
when one of the brothers fell in love with the daughter. Oh,
5:23
and that's how it all started way back. And
5:25
now. They live in West
5:28
Virginia. Well,
5:30
you're not going to be in love with your dad. Possibly
5:32
not. Maybe they're like Twilight
5:35
and they imprinted on each other. And pull
5:37
that vision. It just got even worse. But
5:40
it would be cool to get. At least one of them would be
5:42
aware of. Oh, that, I mean, that should, if they're
5:45
werewolves, then they're cool. And I guess if they
5:47
want to sleep with each other, that's totally fine. So
5:49
then they just morph into werewolf's. I mean, that's. It's
5:51
a super cool. We haven't broached tripped
5:53
in awhile, which is weird. I
5:55
think we've gone like short distances. But
5:58
I love a good road trip. And what was
6:00
funny was the whole way down. We
6:02
didn't even listen to the radio. We
6:04
just had some titillating conversation
6:06
in the. And obviously I'm sure we talked
6:09
about some amazing stuff. I know at any
6:11
time I can throw in the word titillating. Makes
6:13
me smile. She said. Oh,
6:16
I got to get your button. Back out. Oh
6:18
yeah, you do. I couldn't. I can't remember
6:20
if they could hear it on the mind. And that was
6:22
very sad. That's why I needed my soundboard, which
6:24
you guys will all be happy to know that on national
6:26
procrastination day, Tracy
6:28
still procrastinated and did not figure out how
6:31
to use my soundboard. So I still
6:33
don't have cool sounds. Partially
6:35
not my fault because I never wrote
6:37
it down. And you know, if I
6:39
don't write something down, it says if it never
6:41
happens. So basically last
6:43
week it's as if it never happens, because
6:46
well, It didn't ever happen. Retrain
6:48
and run it down. Cause I feel like somewhere you wrote it
6:50
down. I did not write it down. And
6:52
what I should have done is you should have made me
6:54
put it in my phone. So that their
6:56
reminder popped up on my phone because even if
6:58
I write it down, like if I write it down,
7:00
if I write down something at work, It's
7:03
in front of me. So I
7:05
will see it eventually. Maybe not when I'm supposed
7:07
to see it, but I'll see it eventually, but we're
7:09
just sitting at my dining room table and
7:12
I don't sit at my dining room table that much.
7:14
So even if I wrote it down over here, I'd
7:16
probably just be looking at the list again today.
7:19
You should probably add it to the to-do list,
7:22
which you do have written down. Where's
7:24
that. I don't know in your notebook, you showed
7:26
me the great to do this. You had for our
7:28
podcast business meeting that we have next week. Well,
7:31
that wasn't necessarily a to-do list. That was
7:33
our brainstorming list. So maybe you
7:35
should add that to your brainstorming list. Oh, wait,
7:37
I made a to-do list for next week. No,
7:40
you just needed to produce in general, but you're supposed to
7:42
add it to our, to do list. Or you're supposed
7:44
to add our ideas to our, to do list so we can review
7:46
some of them. I need to make a to-do list.
7:49
I started the to-do list. Oh, you just
7:51
helping you out. It's on our it's on the Trello. All
7:53
right. So I'll find it. Anyway,
7:56
I digress. Yes. So you should
7:58
ask Tracy and I'll ask her, Tracy,
8:00
did he take a tour of Shenandoah national park?
8:04
Y, yes, Nicole, we did. So
8:08
we were in Virginia.
8:11
And, you know, an area that I didn't really
8:13
know. And.
8:16
So we had to drive out to
8:18
the venue. So I was in a wedding
8:20
and Nicole came as my plus one hashtag
8:23
for her wedding date. And so she gets
8:25
a new wedding date. And then,
8:28
so we were driving and I had
8:30
my GPS on. And, but it was
8:32
one of those things. Like, it was like turn here,
8:34
but then we saw like a mini golf place.
8:37
And then a sign that said weddings,
8:39
but there was no sign with the name
8:41
of the place. And it came up kind of fast.
8:44
And at that point I was like, wait, am
8:46
I supposed to turn here? So I was too
8:48
far past it. So I had to keep going
8:50
to turn around. Well, then we
8:52
learned, there is no
8:54
where to turn around on this road. We
8:56
had to drive another, at least 10 minutes.
8:59
So yes, we went way past the venue.
9:02
We went past Shanandoah
9:04
national park. Well, we were kind
9:06
of driving through the road, went through Shenandoah
9:08
national park. So we got to see some special
9:11
trees sets. We got special trees.
9:13
Apparently there's a whole skyline
9:16
tour. I mean, I feel like there
9:18
should be because we came to one part of the road. And
9:20
if you just looked ahead, it was beautiful even. Overcast
9:22
day, cause it had the mountain range in it.
9:24
So we did. So that was like a little tour
9:26
that wasn't supposed to happen, but it happened. Yeah. And
9:29
I will say it was beautiful because two of the
9:31
bridesmaid stayed at Airbnb's.
9:34
And the view out back of their Airbnbs,
9:36
they were taking pictures and showing us was
9:38
beautiful. Even with the
9:40
stormy weather. Which
9:43
rocked our world on Friday
9:45
night. Oh, sure. Did. We
9:48
were in boots, our own Nicole's like. Did
9:50
somebody just grab. I saw
9:52
somebody ground. It sounds what it sounded like.
9:54
Plus I'll ask this where somebody was knocking at our door.
9:57
So I know there's a lot of weird sounds, but it was a lot of
9:59
weird sounds. We did figure out the door thing. So
10:02
it was some sort of like air
10:04
problem where if somebody
10:06
else on the floor shut their door,
10:08
it made our door. Jerk.
10:11
Yes. So it literally sounded
10:13
like a knock. So the first time it happened, We
10:16
were like, if somebody's at the door and she's like, are you
10:18
expecting so much? I was like, no.
10:20
But then I said, well, who would knock. Just
10:23
one time. So then we sat and
10:25
waited a little bit longer and then it did happen again.
10:28
At which point I thought maybe I should get up, but
10:30
then I thought, if you really want me to come to
10:32
the door and you need to knock more than one time, Or text
10:34
me and tell me you're knocking at my door and then maybe I'll
10:36
answer. So it turned out there. It was just a big
10:39
ass. In Virginia. Yeah. I
10:41
was under. It
10:43
was crazy. So, but
10:46
anyway, we had a wonderful time.
10:48
Shout out to engine hairy, happy
10:51
marriage. Happy wife,
10:53
happy life, all the things.
10:55
Oh, this was a little tidbit I learned.
10:58
So it did rain. Literally
11:01
during the wedding as we were walking out. So we
11:03
had to come back inside, but they
11:05
always say that. Rain
11:08
on a wedding day is good luck.
11:10
And I never really understood why. I honestly
11:12
just thought it was something that they told brides. To
11:15
make them feel better, how to make them feel better. But
11:18
the reason behind that saying
11:20
is because wet knots are harder
11:23
to one tie. That's just so
11:25
sweet. Isn't that? Sweet. So
11:28
that was the hat. That was nice. I
11:30
mean. Asian herring
11:32
threw a good party, but I got to say Tracy
11:34
and I brought the party table. Shout
11:37
out to table five. Table table
11:40
five. We had so much fun. We
11:42
did. We had a blast. We got yelled at at
11:44
one point. However, they said
11:46
the wrong table number and we were like, yeah, it's able
11:48
to force. We blamed them. But
11:50
it was really us. So you're having fun, but
11:53
literally we kept seeing people that were
11:55
at our table in parking lots. Like,
11:57
so when we left the venue, when we got back
11:59
to our hotel and we were just chanting
12:01
every time we saw them and they haven't got right in
12:03
it with us, they shortened it. So
12:05
we had it. So it was a good time. We got them
12:07
up. We got them dancing. It was
12:09
a good time. There was cake. There was
12:11
cake. There was no smores. We were sad about that.
12:14
I think the rain might have. Killed
12:16
that for us. I know. Oh, that's right.
12:18
We're supposed to smart home. On
12:20
that. But we have fun.
12:23
And the funny thing is.
12:25
Oh, So those
12:28
of you who know Nicole
12:30
loves makeup. I do not. So
12:33
I had my makeup done, which she did a really good
12:35
job, and I had a ton of makeup on, which is weird
12:37
for me. But the bride bought
12:40
fake eyelashes forever. My
12:43
first experience with fake eyelashes.
12:47
They're interesting. They feel. Really
12:50
weird. Really, really good though.
12:52
Tracy looked really pretty, but like,
12:54
I. I'm not bragging, but
12:56
I do have nice eyelashes. Like I have thick
12:58
eyelashes. So I was hoping
13:01
that the girl would say, you know what? Your eyelashes
13:03
look fine. You don't need them. However,
13:05
that was not the case. I think
13:07
it's very rare that you would have enough eyelashes.
13:10
That'd be taken off to look as good as
13:12
fake eyelash. I don't know, but then they put them on him,
13:14
still put mascara on. Hey guy,
13:16
lashes. Oh, of course my God.
13:19
My eyes felt like they weighed 70 pounds.
13:21
It was crazy. And then the poor hairdresser
13:24
doing my hair, she's doing my hair.
13:26
And I had asked, cause we had to do up dues
13:28
and I'd asked for like this messy bun.
13:31
As the picture was super cute. And
13:34
in the middle of it. I can hear her
13:36
like sighing and she's like, I'm so sorry.
13:38
And I'm like, okay. And she said
13:41
I'm a perfectionist. So messy
13:43
buns. Give me anxiety. And
13:46
I said to her, I said, you know, We can
13:48
change it up. I'm not dead set
13:50
on a messy bun. And she was
13:52
like, no, no, I need to work through it. So you're
13:54
helping me. So, you
13:56
know, Well, she did a good job. I was a world
13:58
of help on this day. You
14:01
were caught while Tracy was getting
14:03
ready. I was driving back to the hotel
14:05
to which if I drove by it, cause again,
14:08
I didn't really know where I wasn't. Why put the address
14:10
into the GPS? Cause it was only two roads.
14:12
I was like, I got this. I can get my way back to the
14:14
town. But I drove by it.
14:17
Anyway, I found myself at a home goods. I'm
14:19
just saying I had to go to the home goods because
14:22
stores carry different things in different places and you
14:24
never know. You're gonna find. I may have
14:26
picked up a couple of things there. When
14:28
Tracy needed to stop for cups. For
14:31
the wedding party. I at a Walmart,
14:33
I might've bought a back pillow. It's super
14:35
cute. Super cute. That pillow plus. Our
14:38
Walmart. And they didn't have a mine.
14:41
Walmart. And I'll have them. And then we also
14:43
stopped at a target for something else. And
14:45
of course I ended up buying stuff there because
14:47
our target didn't have it. I may have also got
14:49
some makeup. As of
14:51
today that we're recording is national makeup day. So I'm just
14:53
saying, I bought myself a present for national makeup, dead
14:55
air. You go, you got to spoil yourself. I
14:58
did. I did. So I bought a lot of stuff. I came back.
15:00
I think we came back with more stuff than we, we went down with. I
15:03
looked in the backseat coming home and I'm
15:05
like my backseat was not this full
15:07
going down there. No, no, I think it was
15:09
the big bag of stuff that I bought at all the stores
15:11
I went to. It's good times. Good
15:14
times. Good times. But we did get cute
15:16
little holiday shirts
15:18
for our doggies. Oh yes. So mine
15:20
says mommy's little pumpkin. And
15:23
mine says mommy's little monster.
15:25
For tank. So, you know, I have five dogs. I don't dress
15:27
them all because the big ones don't really care
15:30
for it. And the little ones can share. So
15:32
this time I got it for tanky because it described
15:34
him perfectly. Yes. Even though he's the
15:36
cutest. Little baby shoot. Cutest
15:38
little monster. I will give her that.
15:41
Title. So anyway, I love
15:43
to buy things. So that was our
15:45
trip to anything else. We
15:47
learned that Virginia drivers suck. Oh,
15:50
they were terrible, Maryland drivers.
15:52
Aren't much better. No
15:55
anyone on the road in my
15:57
way. Sucked. And
15:59
there were a lot of that. There were a lot of them. However,
16:02
this was probably our first time driving home on
16:04
95 that there wasn't a dead body. So
16:06
we called it a success. I do think it's some
16:08
success because I was just, I prepared
16:10
myself. I was like, there's going to be something happening on
16:12
95, definitely in Virginia, for
16:14
whatever reason. And to
16:17
us twice. Yeah. Driving home on 95
16:19
and. We're not just like, Ooh,
16:21
it's a bad accident. I bet somebody said no, no.
16:23
We saw a cover over some. So
16:27
that's why not to that, not this time, but twice
16:29
that has happened to us on. It's probably a third
16:31
time might be the charm, but it wasn't. So everybody
16:33
would say time was the charm. The
16:35
third time was the term. So
16:38
look at that. But speaking of people
16:40
that may have be deceased with a white sheets.
16:43
Back here in Pennsylvania. Transition
16:47
white sheets. There
16:49
is an escaped convict. Who's been
16:51
on the loose now for 10 days, I
16:54
think. And either 10 or 11 now. At
16:56
some point, I don't know. They can't catch them. So
16:59
if you've heard about it, no matter where you live in the country,
17:01
you may have heard about it. Tracy and I.
17:03
We live only like, I don't know, 10
17:05
or 15 minutes from where he is, where he
17:07
is. I don't know where he is, where. He is now.
17:10
He was originally, we were fine. He was
17:12
like a good 20, 30 minutes away.
17:14
Yes. Yes, he's getting closer because he broke
17:16
the perimeter for supposedly 400
17:19
cops. We have drones in the sky. We have
17:21
helicopters in the sky. I
17:23
don't know what as law enforcement people are doing,
17:25
but now he got from the original area.
17:28
He stole a car, broke the perimeter
17:30
and made it closer to us. So
17:32
now he's about 15 minutes away. So
17:34
I have a lot of questions. Like why can't they catch
17:36
him? There was 400, it was
17:39
400 to one. 401. Plus
17:41
he's breaking into people's houses. One person
17:43
did see him and report on, but what are these other people
17:45
doing? Right. We're seeing him. He's that good. And
17:47
here's the thing. Well,
17:50
I mean, I live in an apartment building on
17:52
the second floor. You need a code to get in
17:54
the building. I don't think he's going to break in here.
17:57
But if he did. I'm ready
17:59
with my duct tape and I'm taking them down
18:01
and I'm getting the reward. Oh yes. So there's
18:03
a $20,000 reward. Yes. And
18:06
Tracy and I decided in order to catch him and
18:08
get the full $20,000 word, you gotta do like
18:10
Scooby doo thing where you get them and he's got, and
18:12
they have, they wrap them up and we're going to wrap them
18:14
up in duct tape, not rope. Cause we don't know how to tie knots.
18:17
And then we all have, I don't think we'll have to
18:19
pull a mask off. Like they do. no,
18:22
I'll just find like it's. Well,
18:25
hopefully I'm not pulling a mask up. Cause
18:27
that would be nice. Just duct tape,
18:29
the wrong guy. That could be, it's going to be the right guy. We
18:31
got them. So Tracy and I are going to try and
18:33
get that, but I also want to know. Why
18:36
aren't the canine dogs getting them? I did see one of the canines,
18:38
cause it was hot ended up having to go to the hospital, but
18:40
it's going to be a little cooler. It's raining. There has
18:42
to be more than one canine dog available to track
18:44
a scent. Yeah. And dogs can run
18:46
fast. Like apparently there's been like 11
18:48
sightings of this guy. A
18:50
couple of them running from the cops. What
18:52
a great time to have a dog to unleash that. Totally.
18:54
Take him down. Cause. Dogs
18:57
that are pleased. Dogs are bad ass. They
18:59
are bad-ass dogs. Seriously? I
19:01
don't understand. I don't. Where
19:04
are the dogs bring them? Because.
19:07
Usually on Saturday, I think Saturday
19:09
morning you were like, oh my God, a dog
19:11
caught on. And then we learned that
19:13
there was. It was not in fact,
19:15
this Brazilian guy, there was a, another
19:18
escaped convict in Pennsylvania near
19:20
us that a black lab caught. Yes.
19:22
The black lot, let everybody know. So, and
19:24
he wasn't even a canine dog. Civilian
19:26
dogs. So just imagine what the canine
19:28
dogs. Right. So it could literally take
19:30
them down. Although, like I said, I'm ready with my duct
19:32
tape. I'm here for 20 grand. I'm ready
19:35
with my duct tape. For w w we
19:37
didn't ha we have Bounty hunter names. Oh,
19:39
that's right. What were they. Now
19:42
I don't recall. Mine was.
19:45
Oh crap. I don't know
19:47
we had, we came up with these really cool bounty hunter
19:49
names, and I wish I could remember, but I don't remember
19:52
them now. How good. My memory. We're going to have
19:54
to scroll back in our time, began with an L.
19:57
This is how Nicole, his brain works at
19:59
name that tune. She's like, hold on.
20:01
I know this song, the artist's
20:03
name begins with a P and
20:05
then if we can't get it, she's like, I don't understand.
20:07
I gave you the First letter and listen, like
20:09
95% of the time. It actually
20:12
begins with. It does. Yeah.
20:14
Usually right, but it's just not helpful.
20:17
I know. I know. I know. So anyway, so
20:19
we'll be watching out for. This
20:21
convicted killer. And
20:23
if you don't know the story, you can follow on Twitter.
20:25
DeMello. The mellow cattle, something or other,
20:27
a camel Conti. I was impressed that you
20:29
know, it because I've seen his name like a thousand times,
20:32
and I it's just a lot of letters to me.
20:34
Well, I, I was following the hashtag on X,
20:37
otherwise known as Twitter. While
20:39
you were driving so that I could keep up with what was happening.
20:41
Oh, That's right. Every tweet had
20:44
has high. So that's
20:46
how I know he doesn't look the brightest. So again,
20:49
I, he must have, I feel like, does he have
20:51
some help? I have questions about that. Well, my
20:53
thing is, so he's been basically.
20:56
They had him in like this
20:59
general vicinity of a place
21:01
called Longwood gardens, but it's just like a lot
21:03
of land. So my question
21:05
is he's been on, he was on the loose for like
21:07
nine days. What's he eating? I
21:11
don't understand. And somebody was like, oh my
21:13
God, he probably smells so bad. And then
21:15
another person was like, he's probably covered in ticks because
21:18
he's just out in the middle of nowhere. And
21:21
although now you said he is clean shaven.
21:24
Broken in somewhere taking a nice shower.
21:26
Maybe he got a nice meal and he's got someone new
21:28
clothes on. Transportation
21:30
now. So who knows? I don't know. They couldn't catch him when he
21:32
was on foot. I'm not really. Thinking that it's going to
21:34
be great now that he has a truck or
21:37
van or whatever he has, but I have to say,
21:39
like, to me also, Worst
21:42
escapee ever because he
21:44
for nine days stayed within
21:47
two miles of the prison. is
21:49
he playing in games? Now he's
21:51
in Phoenixville. So he's further away.
21:54
There was a reason for it. I guess his sister
21:56
family's from Phoenix. So I think that's where he was living.
21:59
Okay. So there's the girl that
22:01
he killed her sister. Her sister also
22:03
lives there. Cause that's where he showed up. Right.
22:05
He showed. Showed up at his sister's house. Oh, his sister,
22:07
apparently his sister testified against
22:09
him. So, I don't know, but why,
22:12
again, that leads to another question. Why
22:14
don't they have police surveilling these places
22:16
24 7. Cause they,
22:18
he could show up there and he obviously did show up there.
22:21
But like if I'm an escapee.
22:24
I'm going to probably find a different state.
22:27
Which is interesting. Cause apparently before
22:29
he was arrested, after he murdered
22:32
somebody, he was on the run and he went to
22:34
Virginia, which happened to be where Tracy and I was
22:36
doing this weekend. And we were hoping he didn't follow us back
22:38
to Virginia. We were already lived with, we already
22:40
lived near where he is now. Stop
22:42
following us. I mean. Do
22:44
you want to be caught, buddy? I know cause I didn't
22:46
have my duct tape so he could not find us
22:48
in. That's genius because it would have just ruined
22:51
the whole Scooby-Doo plan. And I think
22:53
the, I think the reward was only 10,000
22:55
at that. It's up to 20. We're ready.
22:57
We're making a plan. So we got this, we got
22:59
this. But yes. I got,
23:02
I got nothing else about him, but I just, well, I have a lot
23:04
of questions just in regards to why we can't
23:06
catch him. But moving on to
23:08
a more fun topic. Love fun topics
23:11
because it is Sunday. Yes,
23:13
it is. It is Sunday. And
23:17
it is the first full
23:19
Sunday. Football game.
23:22
Super excited about this. It's very exciting.
23:24
Our teams don't play till later this day, but I will be
23:26
watching the early games
23:28
just to get into the football mood.
23:31
Yes. I am super excited about that.
23:33
I love all the footballs and all
23:36
of the games. So we are obsessed
23:38
with football. And if you love football, there is a conversation
23:40
happening in our Facebook group, where you
23:42
can come over and chat about your favorite team.
23:44
If you watch football, let us know, let us know who
23:46
you're cheering for. We may
23:48
or may not cheer with you for that to
23:50
you, but we'll give you a like on your
23:53
post. We'll do that. We
23:57
are also huge fantasy football.
23:59
I, yes. Oh
24:01
for our team. We
24:05
w we went crazy this year and
24:07
let the draft auto-draft
24:09
all of our teams. We just to see how it shows.
24:12
We got good teams. Yeah. I mean, it's hard
24:14
not to when there's just floor. But
24:17
we did, but I already had dropped in from a place, some people.
24:19
So I'm just saying that's true. It wasn't
24:22
perfect. I'm already upset
24:24
with my quarterback. So he might get kicked
24:26
out. She does that. It's how we roll.
24:28
And you get one week to prove your shit
24:30
and then you're out. But here's another
24:32
question. And if you are also a
24:35
football lover, if you also play fantasy football,
24:37
Come over and tell us who we need to have
24:39
on our teams. Because maybe we're missing somebody
24:42
or maybe we'll be fighting and trying to trade
24:44
for other people. So. So if you're really
24:46
good at fantasy football and you have any tips,
24:48
we are open to them. Yeah. Because
24:52
we need to beat. At least the other two.
24:54
Sorry, Mason and Mike, this is
24:56
the first. Time
24:59
I've gone on the app and I'm starting to
25:01
watch players. So you can
25:03
click on a player and then hit a little star
25:05
and you. So
25:07
I got. It's open for my recruiting
25:09
days. All right. Well, after
25:11
today, I will know, I'll have a better idea
25:13
of who I'm going to need to get rid of and who
25:15
I will invite back to be part of my. Winning
25:19
team because I am the reigning champ.
25:22
Because I am awesome. You
25:24
know what I'm really excited about. My
25:26
name this year. Who are you this
25:28
year? Did you switch? I did switch
25:30
it. I switched. I think I have switched it
25:32
every year. And it's. In relation
25:35
to Matthew Judon, who's one of my favorite Patriot
25:37
players. It's. Juden on my mind.
25:39
Oh yes, I did some on that.
25:42
I have a hard time because I always want
25:44
one. I used to have one for say, Kwan.
25:46
Because he was my favorite player and I had.
25:50
OB. One Quan.
25:53
Oh, yes. Something like that. So
25:55
I do try to switch it up. I had the same team
25:57
name for a long time. I actually contemplated
25:59
going back to it because I did much
26:01
better under that team name. Right. So
26:04
I went and I searched some new ones and I
26:06
did not change it. So I'm not thrilled
26:08
with my team. Name right now. But
26:10
it was funny because I made it specifically
26:12
to bother you. Because Nicole
26:15
loves kangaroos. So
26:18
I'm kangaroos. I made my name, kick
26:20
ass pain gurus. But my
26:22
profile picture is that jacked
26:24
up kangaroos. So she has to look at it every
26:26
time she looks at my team, kangaroos are just ridiculous.
26:29
Animals and should have nothing to do
26:31
with football. Unless you're playing like
26:33
rugby type football because they're from Australia
26:36
and then it can be, but I don't know if that makes sense. I
26:38
couldn't think of anything. I went online. I couldn't
26:40
find anything that fun. So I said, fuck
26:42
it. I'm keeping my name. I've changed it and I love
26:45
my new name. And there's
26:47
no good names with Saquon. Or Barkley.
26:50
Well, I think I haven't. Named him after
26:52
the same player. So every year I change it. I
26:54
love different players, many different
26:56
players on my team. Have a lot for any
26:59
on my team though. So,
27:01
and I'm not taking one of the Daniel Johns
27:03
one. Why not. Like on a hall
27:06
of fame quarterback. Specifically
27:09
my TV. Danny dimes
27:11
hall of fame. I think it should
27:14
be. I don't understand. So bear
27:16
with us for the next few months.
27:18
Well, so September, October,
27:21
if ever canceling. It's like six. Okay. So
27:23
five or six months. Because there will
27:25
be football talk. And some fantasy
27:27
for Boston. And I'm not going
27:29
to lie.. I watch baseball.
27:31
I love baseball as well, and the Phillies are doing
27:33
well. And we are hoping that they're going to play well into
27:36
October. So there might even be some like
27:38
baseball. First
27:41
comment and they're going to be playing. And so we're going to be cheering
27:43
for them. All right. I'll cheer for them. I'm
27:46
not anti cheering for the Phillies.
27:48
I just won't watch baseball games.
27:50
Because they're boring. Well, you know, they play
27:52
faster. Yeah,
27:55
I did watch a little bit and it
27:57
does go much faster now, which I work. And
27:59
then the Phillies are really good. So they hit a lot of home
28:01
run. They have a lot of fun. And their
28:03
nickname is the daycare. Yeah,
28:06
they're just a bunch of kids having fun. If
28:10
you, even if you're not affiliates fan,
28:12
you just have to appreciate, they're just like no other
28:14
team out there. They just get along really well.
28:16
There are a lot of fun. They look like they're having
28:19
a lot of fun, which I guess is easy when you're waiting and you're
28:21
good. Good. Good points, but they just have such
28:23
great personalities. Like
28:25
I have, I actually have some favorites on the team.
28:29
Bryson Stott. He's my, one of my favorite.
28:32
I can't help it. Like Bryce Harper. He's
28:34
just pretty cool. Are
28:36
you a Schwarber fan? I mean,
28:38
he pisses me off sometimes. For him,
28:40
he's either. It's either he's hitting chore
28:42
bombs. Laurie striking
28:44
out. I'm like commodity. Let's do a little bit
28:47
and the middle there, but gotcha.
28:50
I only know that name because our bestie
28:52
Michelle. Yeah.
28:54
I'll just like him. He's really good. So I can't just like, oh
28:57
just because of his name. I
29:01
also really like. One of the players, Brandon
29:03
Marsh, he's another favorite of mine.
29:05
There used to be a football player
29:07
with that name. Oh, Brandon, Brandon Marshall.
29:10
Wasn't there a football player. I think
29:12
it was Marshall. I think so. Oh,
29:14
he's marsh. Okay. So I just totally
29:16
changed his name up to make up a new
29:18
guy. Listen. Listen, Melissa
29:21
on yo, you're hopefully going to be listening to this
29:23
episode and you just text me.
29:26
Oh, I thought she texted me a snarky.
29:29
Tax. I thought she was making fun of, because she's an Eagles
29:31
fan, a. June's fan. But
29:34
she just sent me a Mimi that just
29:36
says this will be the first NFL season without Tom
29:38
Brady since 1999. Yes.
29:42
A long time. That's crazy to think we
29:44
know, and I'm super excited cause they're celebrating
29:46
him in Foxborough.
29:50
So for half time. No,
29:53
I did not get the ticket as I tried really hard, but
29:55
they were a lot of money. We're a lot
29:57
of money that I just, I couldn't justify.
30:00
Yeah, I will say if it was a birthday month,
30:02
I might've tried a little hard to justify. But
30:05
I know that pre birthday
30:07
month it could have been. Yeah. I
30:09
have a lot going on in birthday month, so. Okay.
30:12
Yeah. So anyway. Right.
30:15
So I'll take, I'll take back. I won't. It's
30:17
just usually sending me an informational texts.
30:20
Usually it's trash-talk. That'll
30:22
be later today when the patrons are probably losing.
30:25
Yes, then I will. Be expecting a lot
30:27
of trash. From my friends, because
30:29
you're expecting. Yeah, I'm not going to be surprised.
30:32
So. But zappies bank Zappy
30:35
is back. And the other quarterback,
30:37
I don't know what's happening in. Apparently they were gonna put him on the practice
30:39
squad and now he's like Mia. I don't know. It was a whole weird
30:42
story. Oh yeah. I don't know. But anyways,
30:45
He's our backup. Zappies. Life
30:47
is back to normal.
30:50
So, yeah, I don't even know who my backup is.
30:52
So Tyra Taylor. Sure.
30:55
I'm just making shit up as I go. You
30:57
probably are. I don't think that's right, but no. Is
31:00
it. I don't know. Come
31:02
on Tracy college player. I don't even know. Tyra,
31:05
Taylor's definitely a player in the NFL. You did not make
31:07
that up. I think that's who it is. Helpful
31:10
also, we are big college
31:12
football fans. We are Penn state fans. That
31:14
is the one thing that one. Football
31:16
team we have in common is that we cheer for
31:19
Penn state. So we are. But
31:21
yesterday, obviously college
31:23
football's are on Saturdays, but we learned a whole
31:25
new chance. So Alabama. I
31:27
am a big fan and it's a long story
31:30
of why. But if
31:32
they're not playing Penn state, I will cheer for them.
31:34
And I learned their chance. I'm super
31:36
excited about that. Yes. Now every
31:38
time I. I
31:41
don't know. What would you call. Yes,
31:43
every time I last, so my arm that
31:46
is, I don't know if it was just the pat
31:48
McAfee thing or if that's how they do it,
31:50
because they all know how to stop the chance.
31:52
Maybe he just started it so that they would
31:54
do it. But I wasn't sure, maybe. So he
31:56
like lasso lasso, lassoed, and they would
31:58
go roll and then. He would
32:01
throw his arm down. Yeah. So
32:04
now every time I last on my arm, Nicole
32:06
has to do the Bama chants. And
32:08
I will totally do it. I'm in. And I
32:10
just want to. Talk
32:12
about how awesome I am because the
32:14
back up quarterback is Tyra Taylor.
32:17
We'll look at you. You knowing your team?
32:19
I know my team. Today today.
32:22
I know that one player. Good job. When
32:27
we go to the giants Patriots games. I
32:30
did better. Last year, I started learning a lot more
32:32
people. Okay. Perfect. Perfect.
32:35
I figured since I knew more Patriots than
32:37
I did giants because you and Michelle talk about
32:39
them so much that I should probably learn
32:41
my own team. Yes. Yes. So we're going
32:43
to do like a mini it's, a very mini
32:46
mini road trip to New Jersey. Could
32:48
you just to see the Patriots giants in November,
32:50
also part of birthday month,
32:52
but also speaking of trips
32:54
that we're taking. Tracy
32:56
and I are planning to go to a Podcast
32:59
conference and January
33:01
and so that we can learn to be better.
33:04
Podcasters, bring more fun for you
33:06
guys. And so we're excited for that. I
33:09
have to tell you, we have been looking at
33:12
prices for flights and the flights
33:14
to Orlando are ridiculous. I
33:16
don't know if it's just, is it because everything's getting
33:18
more expensive and that's just what the prices are going
33:20
to be, and I have to deal with it. Right.
33:22
But it's just, the prices are so crazy,
33:25
which is crazy because then we're also planning
33:28
a trip in April to
33:30
Vegas, and we started looking at those and those are like
33:32
$650. It's
33:34
ridiculous. Expensive to
33:36
fly to Vegas. No. We're really going to have. So we've been
33:38
keeping our eyes out for lower,
33:40
low ticket fares. But. I
33:42
had to say, one day I got super excited.
33:45
I was like, well, I'm just going to check
33:47
to see what the fairs are like. And I sent Tracy
33:49
thing and I said, Tracy, there's fairs
33:51
there between like 125 and $150.
33:54
And I was super excited. Tracy jumped on. And
33:57
she did not see what I saw. Well,
34:00
the base fare was
34:02
between 120 and 150.
34:05
However, then you had
34:07
to do all of the charges. So
34:09
did you want to pick your seat? That
34:11
was like $40, unless
34:14
you wanted to sit like up in
34:16
the compartment where you store
34:18
your baggage. You had to
34:21
pay for not only a
34:23
checked bag, but you had to pay for your
34:25
carry on bag. Then
34:28
you had to pay, you know, to breathe the
34:30
air on the plane. So
34:32
it took the prices right back up to like 250,
34:35
200 $60. I'd be
34:37
the one that, and I think the one that we really
34:39
liked the flights for ended up it would have been like
34:41
over $300. So I was
34:43
really disappointed. I was super excited. I thought I'd
34:45
found us a good deal. I was like, I
34:49
don't think you looked at this and you're
34:51
like, no, I saw it. And I said, well, did you actually
34:53
try to buy them? No,
34:56
that's where they get you. That is
34:59
where they get you. Yeah. Well
35:01
in my search, I thought this was cool in
35:03
my search of airlines. And
35:06
doing that, I found that there's a new
35:08
airline. Nowhere
35:10
near anywhere I fly or will ever probably
35:13
use it. It's a Turkish airline, but it announced
35:15
a unique policy on this one
35:17
specific route. Oh, so the Caribbean.
35:20
A no kid zone on one of his
35:22
long haul routes. So Corindus
35:25
airlines, there's a 10 hour flight from Amsterdam
35:28
to Curacao. Passengers will
35:30
have to be at least 16 years old
35:32
to sit in front of the aircraft.
35:34
One hour. So the section lab, nine seats
35:37
with extra leg room, and then there's
35:39
like 93 standard economy seats
35:41
with curtains and walls. Separating it from
35:43
the families zone. Now. You
35:45
have to pay extra.
35:48
So like that. So to have like the
35:50
ones with the extra leg room, it's like a hundred dollars
35:53
in foreign money. So I don't know
35:55
what that translates to English dollars. I
35:58
think it was a hundred pounds. Maybe. I'm not sure
36:00
what that says, but anyway, and then the extra is like
36:02
45, so they're just paying extra. Okay.
36:04
Which on normal airlines. Now,
36:06
if you want the extra leg room, you have to pay extra,
36:09
because that was one of the fees. When I looked on
36:11
frontier. Was, if
36:13
you want a reclining seat and leg
36:15
room, you had to pay extra. So,
36:18
I mean, so I guess, well, So that leads to,
36:20
I mean, that was what we were thinking really
36:22
is you know, the question of this week is would
36:24
you be willing to pay. Extra
36:26
to have a kids free zone, even though it's
36:29
just, it's not a kid's free flight. So
36:31
in the back of the plane, there could be kids. There's just
36:33
going to be some wall and curtain separating it. So
36:35
would you pay for it? And
36:38
what would you pay for it? The
36:40
answer is yes. Just
36:43
yes. Yes. Okay. I
36:46
don't mind kids on a flight.
36:49
As long as they are not right next to me.
36:52
'cause I don't like them kicking the back of my seat.
36:54
And when they start crying, I don't want them next
36:56
to me. Okay, that makes sense. So I
36:59
would pay to be in a little separate
37:01
section. That I knew
37:03
I was not going to have that problem. Now
37:06
if it were a shorter flight.
37:09
Eh, I don't know, like under
37:12
two hours, I don't know if I'm paying an extra,
37:14
like $200 just to do
37:16
it. But anything over
37:18
to, yes, I would probably do that. Let's say. Like on a shorter
37:21
flight. The longest, but you can get the noise canceling headphones,
37:23
so that. You have the extra they're not around
37:25
you and you really can't hear them. It
37:27
could be good. Okay. So. This
37:29
week. The question of the week is sponsored
