As teachers, we usually know what subjects or grade levels we like to teach. However, every now and then, you try teaching something new and come to find that you like it way more than you expected!

Such was the case with today’s guest, EconTeach. She started out teaching social studies, but when the need for an economics teacher opened up at her school, she stepped in… and found that she really enjoyed it! 

And that’s not all. It also motivated her to gain control of her own finances. Now, she blogs about her journey at MyEconomicsEducation.com and continues to teach personal finance to high schoolers, equipping them with the financial literacy she wished she had at their age.
