In this episode, I had the distinct privilege of unmasking the story of Rosa Parks, which is very different than the the cemented memory many of us have of her as a mere meek seamstress who was too tired to give up her seat to a White passenger. What we know of her was most often told in a way that cements her cause and influence comfortably in the distant past. In this episode, it's my desire to debunk the mythology surrounding a "singular" act on a bus and provide clarity about a lifelong in-your-face Civil Rights activist, whose cause is still alive to this very day.
