High on a hill overlooking the swampy streets of Louisville, KY sits a piece of history. The infamous tuberculosis sanatorium dubbed Waverly Hills, most haunted hospital in the United States.

Waverly Hills was built on the idea that fresh air and positive thinking could cure those suffering from one of the worst diseases of the early 20th century. Unfortunately, not every patient thrived on good vibes alone. Many people died in the self-contained community of Waverly Hills. Some died of tuberculosis. Some died from the unfounded, invasive treatments. Others simply gave in to despair.

All that tragedy still haunts the halls of this beautiful, historical building today.
