RATING
A podcast with a great blend of an engineer's STEM-related thought process compared and contrasted to his friend's thought process developed through historical and cultural assessment. Not afraid to touch on subjects that are often avoided on the internet, and they voice what seem to be their true opinion's on the subject at hand.
Matt and Destin always bring intelligent, interesting perspectives to whatever topic they are discussing. This podcast has helped me become a more critical thinker and a better person!
Discovered this podcast via the Jordan Harbinger show. And because I watch the smarter every day video's for years I was interested. I really love the style of conversation, the concept of the third chair, sometimes it feels like that. Listening to an animated conversation between friends. And because I also love the topics that range from science, history, society and the way you view it with a Christian mindset is really inspiring. Oh yeah, and now I sometimes have the Winged Hussars song pop up in my head. But really, a joy to listen and I am now slowly listening through them all. Good stuff.
I listened to one episode, the one on Bitcoin, and they spent half of the time blabbing about nothing in particular...seemed rather amateur in the context of any remotely intelligent discussion
A nice blend of humanities and STEM. Destin and Matt have great chemistry.
Listening to these two guys (as friends, thinkers, dads, husbands, etc) makes my heart happy.
I know the title is "no dumb questions" but it's more like "we'll talk about whatever needs to be talked about because we are fearless and also nice/mature people." Because that's more of what you're getting, which is really refreshing after, like, thirty seconds on Facebook...
I've followed Destin from "Smarter Every Day" for years now. Thanks to CGP Grey, I found this and many other educational YouTuber's. But then he started up this podcast with fellow YouTuber Matt Whitman, and I wasn't sure what I expected but the result is fantastic. Destin's sense of humor and Matt's history knowledge make this a podcast that's easy to fall in love with. I thoroughly enjoy that it's not about being the smartest person in the conversation, it's about exploring random questions and seeing where the conversation goes
I look forward to listening to every episode. Matt and Destin always have interesting topics to discuss. They entertain and educate in each episode. I often feel like I'm in the room with them wanting to add my 2 cents.
Matt and Destin are spectacular. Enough said.
Destin and Matt are both extremely smart on their own fields but at the same time they are able to communicate to the third chair in a very comprehensible language. As a person who's not conversant with science and theology, they present their ideas perfectly for me to follow their thought process. I greatly appreciate the experience every episode brings. Definitely an inspiration to all podcasters!
This is one of my favorite podcasts. The conversations are always interesting and a lot of that stems from Destin and Matt not being afraid to embrace and work through the deeper questions.
