RATING
I discovered the Mythical Monsters podcast through the story-telling podcast section on Spotify. I am interested in informative and engaging shows, as well as mythology and creatures, so this particular title peaked my interest. While the stories themselves can be very graphic and gruesome, I appreciate that each episode contains a content warning for listeners. I am very impressed with the amount of effort that is put into each episode! You can tell that the writers thoroughly research each monster to provide as much accurate information as possible. I was astonished by the sheer amount of history the host was able to provide in the episode “Vampires.”Overall I very much enjoyed this podcast and would listen to it again. I would love to know, what inspired your crew to start producing this podcast? It would be awesome to see some more monsters from Greek mythology in the future, and I encourage anyone else interested in mythology to check out this podcast as well!
I love the research they've done. The stories are engaging and bring a sense of relatable to them. As a fan of mythology, these podcasts feature creatures not known to me before.
Listened to Scotland's Loch Ness Monster- great story with details that really grab your attention. It was confusing to listen to a story with the 'current they/them' use for 1 person. That terminology does not belong in audio stories. It was distracting & took away from the story. I get that there are people don't know who/what they are, or confused about their actual gender, or have multiple personalities. I'll try another story as the details really are great! Just be warned that the Loch Ness story uses the confusing terms.I listened to 4 other stories on auto play- they were great! I didn't get 'pushed out' after I was wrapped up in the stories. Well done!
I very educational, cultural and all around fun and interesting to learn about mythology creatures
