My name is Dr. Bernadette Dancy, Health and Exercise Coach specializing in lifestyle changes for stress, burnout, and mental health. I've spent over 20 years studying the body and mind and if there's one thing that I have learned during this time it is that they exist in partnership BUT we as humans often see them as separate entities. There's also a prevailing 'more is more' culture in sport, health and exercise and yet this isn't always true. Yes, movement, exercise and physical activity are beneficial for mental health...but how, why, and most importantly how much is needed to get these benefits? Movement and Mind is a podcast where I will discuss the science, psychology and research of movement for the mind in attempt to answer these questions.
