I feel very sorry for Sneha's family when I listen to this podcast. The host seems amateur, the scripts are written poorly (first episode: Who is sneha really? who is sneha? who is sheeeeee?!"), and they do not do a good job at all of presenting Sneha in a positive light or tellling the story of her life as they claim they will. It's just another crime drama, where the entertainment comes from wanting to solve the mystery, rather than genuine care for Sneha's life or her family's true wishes (the family are not involved in this podcast at all and I'm sure they wished it never happened). Too often podcasts use the excuse of a large listenership for crime stories as an excuse to do whatever they want. I personally believe they should have more morals and only make podcasts about crime stories when the families requested it and are directly involved. The interviews are performed poorly, the editing is bad and it's all round amateur-city, I'm afraid to say. Of COURSE it retraumatises a family to publicise their worst moment and cause the world to start talking about it against their wishes. If you don't believe that, you don't have much empathy or understanding of grief.
It's obvious that the recent reviews by "Claire" and "donna" are fake because its exactly the same review but posted from different accounts. I guess the podcast creators did that because they weren't happy with the negative reviews. That's really unprofessional and poor journalism. I can't believe they'd act that way. In terms of my review of the podcast itself, I also feel like the podcast is inappropriate without the consent of Sneha's family. Seems like no one is requesting this podcast except the creators themselves. Main voice is annoying
Interesting story which could be told in a couple of episodes. Feels a bit dragged out with repeated interview clips or mentions of people who declined to be interviewed. I sense more episodes with nothing much new to learn.
I just finished the last episode today. I don’t get the hate, I really liked this podcast and I’m pretty picky. Tells the story super detailed and gives a lot of new info and has some really fascinated asides. Didn’t think the main host was annoying as some people mentioned. I would give this a try!! Kept my interest through the whole thing, loved the topics.
Disappointed by the negative reviews that only seemed to have listened to one episode. I encourage you to listen to all of the episodes and then make your mind up. Incredibly well researched.
Very interesting story- but a lot of moving parts to keep up with
Missing in Alaska is interesting, but flawed. "Journalist" Jon Walczak totally thinks the mob blew up the plane. Every episode is about that idea although for some reason in episode 10 he springs it on you like you didn't know that's what he was doing the entire time. The official and most likely by probability story from the NTSB and FBI is that the plane iced up as there were icing conditions present at the time. This was also a tiny plane and not a 747 pilot. They can crash, especially in remote areas like Alaska. These ideas are by far the most likely scenarios and barely received consideration total in 11 episodes. The icing on the wings received something like a 2 minute consideration on episode 10.Everything else is about how the wife of one of the victims was probably involved and almost certainly the mob bombed the plane. It's possible. There's lots of info that certainly makes it possible presented on the podcast. But if that was the investigation the whole time, a real journalist would need to consider the other options honestly. The most likely options. They would need to actually present this to the audience as the consensus not only from official agencies but also from other pilots as well.
Riveting and Heart-wrenching! Fan of the host's previous podcast, and this one is excellent as well. Adds a human touch to a heart-wrenching missing person's story in the backdrop of 9/11. Keeps me on the edge of my seat until the next episode. Well done!
Very good podcast and well done

Well done!*PS- to the ignoramus "Hayley" troll- I was having trouble with a glitch that day leaving my review, so my sister offered to help and inadvertently put under hers as well. Sorry to have "offended" you, and have you ever heard of glitches? Maybe you're a "tech wizard" unlike me! Podcast is EXCELLENT and too bad about your sour grapes- maybe YOU should start your own and do better, lol.
