First off, what's your off season

0:02

look like? Is there

0:04

anything gonna be different since you're preparing for

0:06

the last one this time? No,

0:10

I don't think it'll be different. We'll

0:14

stay here till school finish, and then if I would

0:16

go home, see family, see

0:18

friends, get

0:21

back at it, get back in the gym, and skate

0:23

a little bit later in the

0:25

summer. Is that gonna be a challenge

0:27

for you to balance probably all the individual attention

0:29

you're gonna get next season, everywhere you go, because

0:32

you're very much just like you

0:34

said, the team winning, but there's gonna be

0:36

a spotlight on you everywhere you go. That's

0:40

something I'm looking forward to,

0:42

or that I need. I

0:47

wanna come back and try and win more

0:49

games. I think at the end of the day, that's

0:51

all that I care about. Obviously,

0:56

I've been very lucky to be doing this for a long

0:58

time, and have a lot

1:00

of good memories in different buildings and

1:02

places, but yeah,

1:05

I don't know. I don't need more attention. I'm good.

1:08

What's your ideal role look like

1:10

next season? I

1:13

think we've talked about it the other day. Whatever

1:18

they need me to do or want me to do, obviously,

1:23

I always love playing, and battling,

1:25

and competing. I still love it.

1:32

Whatever the team needs me to

1:34

do, I'll do. I know we've

1:37

talked about it a lot the past couple days, but

1:39

just how weird of a feeling is this to not

1:41

be in the playoff for you, and what are the emotions

1:43

that you're going through as this is new territory for

1:45

you? Yeah. It's

1:49

disappointing, that's for sure. We

1:54

all love our team here. We all have to do

1:56

a bunch of guys that we have in the room. You

2:00

know, it's definitely

2:02

a tough season, you know,

2:04

for the fans,

2:06

right, for the organizations.

2:10

It's a tough one to be missing in the

2:12

playoffs here and yeah, it's

2:15

actually one fun thing to play off.

2:19

So the other day that was disappointing is this

2:21

ending is like, you know, you believe in this

2:23

group and our confidence group, but you've been around

2:25

really good teams in your career. What

2:27

gives you kind of the belief and confidence in

2:30

the group going forward, especially going into

2:32

your last year? Yeah, I think the

2:34

chemistry, the locker room is great. Everybody

2:38

wants to play for

2:40

one another and it's

2:42

a group of guys that work, you know,

2:45

they work hard and they show

2:47

some character. You

2:50

know, since the whole start break, I think trying

2:52

to climb back in the standing rate and

2:54

nobody quit until the end and still

2:58

with injuries and stuff, you know,

3:00

everybody's always trying to

3:02

battle, battling, you know, to stay relevant

3:05

in the standing and I really

3:08

appreciate that about the guys. How

3:11

would you kind of describe the leadership of the group? I know

3:13

it was missing Spurgeon most of the year and you

3:15

know, as a very vocal guy, he was gone. Like how do

3:17

you kind of see that evolve over the

3:19

year when maybe other guys stepped up or it was

3:22

more quiet than usual, I guess.

3:24

Yeah, maybe right in

3:27

those talks a lot. Well,

3:30

it's great. Obviously, we missed

3:32

both of them a lot

3:34

in all their great

3:37

leaders and like you said, very vocals. So

3:41

it would be a good start season with Devender,

3:44

I think for sure. Obviously,

3:46

the goalie situation is a little bit, you know, up

3:48

in the air for next year With

3:51

three in the organization. What Were your early

3:53

impressions of Olstead And you know, if he

3:55

does get some time up here next year,

3:57

I Mean, do you at your age, Surin?

4:00

They are you being that sort a mentor

4:02

say? because having Bill Guerin probably values add

4:04

on ebay. reason why you may be brought

4:06

back. Here

4:09

like a said and on America is literally

4:11

me to the and. As

4:14

far as soon as his palaces one

4:16

more go around and us and ah

4:18

I'm adding all is very adults, kids

4:20

who knows his and a goalie him

4:23

as well. And.

4:26

A sentimental well there and that as two

4:29

games a season then also others go good

4:31

damn good at on the solar to learn.

4:35

And or whatever way I can can help

4:37

Also I'll do and how did a comfort

4:40

to of. Mushroom and

4:42

Ghastly for for many, many years. To

4:45

come.
