Fox Valley Harvest is not your average folk band. While most groups tote merely wood and string, this Ohio-based group adds an entire section of brass to their luggage, bringing a much broader spectrum of historic American music to the mix. 

We interviewed Scott Maruskin and Steve Frye, FVH's bassist and drummer, as a part of a smaller, shorter podcast series of interviews with bands that will be performing at this year's Ohiolina Festival, a family-friendly folk festival (say that 4 times fast) that will take place in Mt. Vernon, OH on September 17 & 18.

Middle State has teamed up with Ohiolina to introduce, talk to, and get more comfortable with this year's lineup. In fact, Middle State will be broadcasting live from the festival on September 17, bringing the whole atmosphere of the festival right to you. 

In this episode, Dakota, myself, and FVH enter into a deep conversation on music and its effect on specific locations, like Nashville and our very own Columbus, OH.
