രാഗേന്ദുവിന്റെ അച്ഛൻ വിനയചന്ദ്രദാസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ റെയിൽവേയിലെ ജീവനക്കാരനായിരുന്നു. വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളോടു വല്ലാത്ത അഭിനിവേശമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം റിട്ടയർമെന്റിനു ശേഷം താജ്മഹലിലെ ഗൈഡായി മാറി. എപ്പോൾ വേണമെങ്കിലും താജിനുള്ളിൽ കയറാമെന്നതായിരുന്നു ആ തീരുമാനത്തിനു പിന്നിൽ. രാഗേന്ദുവിന്റെ അച്ഛൻ പോയിട്ട് ഇപ്പോൾ ഏഴു വർഷമായി. Ragendu's father Vinayachandradas was an employee of the Indian Railways. He had a passion for tourist attractions and became a guide at the Taj Mahal after his retirement.
