Mamosie Podcast Intro Episode

Hello and welcome to the brand new mommy podcast, Mamosie! I wanted to introduce myself to you, what this podcast is about and what you can expect to find in the episodes. First off, hey!, I’m Sahar Assifi, that spelling can be found on the blog, mamosie.com, btw. I’m 32, I’m a wife and a mom. I blog, I Netflix, I’ve had a giant ball of yarn with knitting needles stabbed in it for about 3 years so I can say I knit? I love long walks on the beach in Maui where I visit my parents regularly, and… I’m constantly tired.

Since becoming a mom, I’ve experienced so many highs and lows, moments of hilarity and deep reflection. When they say having a baby changes your life, you don’t know just how far the reach of that change is. When you become a mom, you instantly become part of a club that has levels depending on your kids age. It’s easy to think you’re alone or you have it pretty bad compared to other moms, but then once in a while when you find yourself among other moms and everyone is going around airing their grievances then the “OMG Me Too!!”s start.

But what those moments also do for us is to remind us that we’re not alone. That this sucks for everyone, that we all hate parenting and we also wouldn’t have it any other way. We can miss the “old us”, but also never want to go back there.

In this Mamosie podcast you can expect to find short 15-20 minute episodes where I will be reading listener emails and answering their advice questions, talking about current events, or speaking with guest moms to bring fresh new perspectives for all kinds of moms out there.

The blog is Mamosie.com where I post regularly on more topics. We can be found on Twitter and Instagram. I really want to hear your advice questions, so email me at [email protected]

Thank you so much for listening, now can someone tell me what to make for dinner?!
