As a Black man privileged to have his father in his life, I learned a lot about life from my dad. I learned that I shouldn't seek approval. I learned that seeking approval will keep you starving for it. I know that if my dad wasn't who he was, I would never have become who I am. I am grateful for this life, I am grateful for him, and I hope my understanding and interpretation finds you well.
