RATING
Lost Terminal has a funny way of creeping up on me. Without really noticing, it´s become a thrill to me every time a new episode is released. Maybe it´s the way the AI is both very human and charming, as well as creepy at times? Maybe it´s the subtle way even rather big occurrances (catastrophes as well!) are portrayed? Maybe because it´s always interesting to know how an artificial intelligence would view us humans? Anyway, the fact that it´s really well done and I absolutely have to download as soon as episodes are released, easily earns this show a 5 star rating!
I've only listened to the first two seasons, but damn if this isn't a perfect little podcast - really compelling characterization sitting inside crisp, vibrant writing. The sound design is used with a light hand and so effective. And the way this show uses music is just pitch perfect. Highly, highly recommend.
This wonderful little podcast deserves all the love it can get. I adore the music, the writing, the voice acting, and everything else about it. If you like science fiction stories about sentient machines (or perhaps you enjoyed reading 17776 by Jon Bois), please check out this story! It is fascinating beyond description.
A great example of how something that seems small and simple can hold attention and draw out emotions. Lost Terminal's short episodes are sneakily good, in part because of the excellent voice acting and in part because of the writing that balances the AIs naivete, anxiety, and curiosity. The novel perspective is refreshing. It also helps there's a really big mystery at its core--what has happened to the Earth? BONUS: Satellite dance music every episode.
Conscious experience of an AI. The problem of existence. What has happened to everybody? It feels like a move though it's a single man narration
Lost Terminal is an utterly intriguing show that is both charming and creepy by turns, with the most engaging AI one could imagine, first looking down upon and then becoming immersed in a world that feels more questionable the more you discover. Season 3 has just begun, and I'm absolutely at the edge of my seat!
I can't say enough good things about Lost Terminal. Through each season, you know something has to be looming behind the scene, but there's something about the narrator's voice and words that brings me out of the nervousness about possible doom within the story and without. I love listening to Lost Terminal when I'm feeling a bit too keyed up. It relaxes me and brings me joy every time.
Lonely AI audio drama - with ith the best AI plot and voice I have ever come across. Very solitary podcast but it works. Seadon4 weeks away, can't wait.
Ok so the more I listen the more I love this podcast. It's 100% filling the hole in my podcast lineup that sayer has left lol. Give it a listen you won't regret it
Lost Terminal is such a good comfort podcast. Seth’s voice is so soothing and I love the musical interludes. It’s so fun to follow him as he solves each problem that arises in turn. There is so much love and compassion in this show, listening truly feels like a balm for weary ears.
