If you’ve ever gone through a valley season, you are probably well acquainted with the emotions and mindsets that often come with those situations.
When you hear the word “hope,” you may think of hoping others will do what they say they will do. Maybe you hope others will live up to your expectations of them whether or not those are actually realistic. Maybe it’s hoping an object or thing--like a car, a chair, or even medicine--will do what it’s designed to do. Whether we actually call it hope or not, we do put our trust in everyday things.
The problem occurs when we put all of our hope in people, money, jobs, lifestyles, etc. When our hope is in things that can be shaken or taken away, it can leave us broken, angry, and confused.
