Theresa Goh is a former Paralympic Swimmer from Singapore. She represented her country in various international competitions for 20 years before retiring in late 2019.
She believes her success has been largely due to the strong family support she has. Theresa participated in 4 Paralympic Games (Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016) and was the first female Singaporean swimmer to qualify for the Paralympics in 2004.
A former world record holder in the 50m and 200m Breaststroke SB4 category, she clinched a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke SB4 category, at the Rio Paralympics on her 4th and final Paralympic Games outing.
A pioneer in the disability sports scene in Singapore, Theresa strongly believes in the importance of seeing the ability in a person and not just their disability.
Theresa identifies as a Queer athlete with disability and speaking up more for LGBTQ rights especially in Singapore.
