In this great talk, by the spiritual giant Thomas S. Monson, he reminds us that we should never sign petitions against little boys that are newspaper carriers and the "importance of being nonjudgmental and treating everyone with kindness."He shares the story of a little boy who delivered his newspaper, and was doing a very poor job of it and that he "accidentally threw it into the bushes or even close to the street." The neighborhood where Thomas S. Monson lives, got a delegation together to sign a petition, to have the little boy fired. In the end, tragically, according to Thomas S. Monson, the criticism heaped upon the little boy, was just too much and he committed suicide in his garage. He then says, "How grateful we were that we had not joined in that criticism."So even though he wasn't able to intervene and help the little boy to prevent his eventual suicide, at least he wasn't the cause of it and didn't sign the petition from the delegation, that led to the little boys suicide. I hope that the delegation was not LDS. We can all learn a lot from this example.image image image imageimage
