0:34

and part of the Kids Short Stories family. Are

0:36

you guys ready for today's adventure? Me

0:39

too, Let's go. It

0:48

was raining outside at Nathan and Quinn's

0:51

house and so they had

0:53

to find something to do inside when

0:56

it rains. By you, what do you like to do

0:58

inside? I like

1:00

to color and do art

1:03

projects, or maybe

1:05

build a big building

1:09

or affort with some blankets

1:11

and pillows, or

1:15

maybe play with some toys or

1:18

games. There's so many fun things to do even

1:21

when it's raining outside, and

1:23

at Quinn and Nathan's house, you

1:25

know what they like to do when it rains outside.

1:29

They love to color and do

1:31

drawings in art projects. They

1:34

were so good at coloring

1:36

and making some really cool

1:38

pictures. The day before,

1:41

their parents went to the store and found a

1:43

really special set of markers that

1:46

they've never seen before. It came in this

1:49

like rainbow package and

1:52

it said whatever you color

1:54

comes to life. Huh,

1:58

well that sounds like, you know,

2:01

I don't think that's real, but

2:03

I bet these are really cool colors

2:06

and it'll look like the creatures come

2:08

right to life, Quinn said. Nathan's

2:12

opened the package and

2:14

pulled out all the markers. Wow,

2:17

these are the brightest colors I've ever

2:19

seen. They look so real,

2:23

Quinn agreed. Pretty

2:26

soon they had found some big

2:29

pieces of paper to start their drawings

2:31

on. When they started to color,

2:34

they focus

2:37

on coloring and drawing dinosaurs.

2:40

That was their favorite thing to do. And

2:42

so the first one, I'll

2:45

give you some clues and you're going to guess what it

2:47

is. The first one had a

2:50

long tail, big legs,

2:53

short little arms, and

2:55

big teeth. Do you know what kind of dinosaur that

2:58

is? That? The

3:00

t rex? Yeah? Good job. The

3:03

next dinosaur had

3:05

pokey horns out of

3:07

its head. Yeah,

3:10

try Saratop's great

3:12

job. And then this

3:14

one had a long neck. What

3:17

do you think that is like

3:19

a brontosaurus so we can

3:21

reach the leaves of the top of the trees. Nailed

3:24

it. So Nathan and

3:27

Quinn got to work to draw their

3:29

three dinosaurs. They

3:32

were a great team.

3:35

They would both color the outline of

3:37

the dinosaur, and then they would work together

3:40

to put all the colors inside of the dinosaur

3:42

to make it look extra real. They

3:47

had just finished all the outlines when

3:49

Nathan said, hey, Quinn,

3:52

I really thought I drew

3:55

this dinosaur's tail like this, but

3:58

it changed it's

4:00

it's facing a different direction. Did

4:02

you erase it and like

4:05

redrive? No? I

4:07

didn't. I haven't touched that tale. But

4:09

maybe you just forgot what it was supposed to be. Yeah,

4:13

it's not like it would move on its own,

4:16

no way. Nathan

4:18

and Quinn grabbed the markers to start

4:21

coloring them in. They

4:24

were so bright. Wow,

4:28

Quinn, I've never seen colors like

4:30

this. They looked so real. Nathan

4:34

and Quinn loved these new markers

4:36

and quickly finished all three

4:39

of the dinosaurs. They

4:42

were very excited to hang them up on the

4:44

wall. So they ran upstairs

4:46

to tell their parents that they were all done

4:48

with those drawings. As

4:50

they were running up the stairs, they

4:53

heard a sound. Yeah,

4:57

what was that, Quinn's

5:00

said, Uh,

5:03

let's go back and check our drawings. They

5:05

ran back downstairs, and

5:08

when they looked at the table, Wait

5:11

a second, what happened? They're

5:13

gone? The papers

5:16

here, but the drawings,

5:18

it's like someone erased them. They're

5:20

gone. Nathan,

5:23

did you do this? Did

5:25

you like trick me? Is this like

5:27

magic marker or something? Oh?

5:30

No, way, I don't even know

5:32

what happened, Quinn. They

5:34

were both very confused. They

5:36

had spent the past hour drawing

5:38

these three amazing dinosaurs, but

5:42

the papers that they were drawing them on were

5:44

now all white. It

5:46

was like they didn't even draw them.

5:49

And then they heard the sound again, Yeah,

5:58

what was that. They

6:01

turned around and looked around the corner.

6:04

The three dinosaurs they drew on their

6:06

papers, we're standing

6:09

in their kitchen. Run.

6:13

Nathan and Quinn couldn't believe their eyes,

6:15

and they started running around the house

6:18

screaming in terror.

6:21

Ah, help,

6:23

there's dinosaurs in the kitchen. Boys,

6:28

Hey keep it down there, not

6:30

too loud. Their

6:33

parents didn't even believe them. Quick,

6:36

Quinn, we gotta open the doors. Get

6:39

those things outside before they make a huge

6:41

mess. Go, go go. Quinn

6:43

opened the door and the three dinosaurs

6:46

ran outside. They

6:48

were still the same size as they had drawn

6:50

on their piece of paper. And

6:53

I think they're actually very nice. When

6:56

Nathan and Quinn went outside, and

6:58

remember it was raining, the

7:01

dinosaurs looked at them

7:03

like they were their parents. Quinn,

7:07

do you think that they think

7:10

we're like their parents.

7:14

Yeah, they're looking at us like

7:17

they are hungry or something. And oh

7:20

boy, these two

7:22

and three dinosaurs, they were so

7:24

happy. They started rolling around

7:27

and having so much fun. And

7:31

but I think they were hungry. What do you think

7:33

dinosaurs like baby dinosaurs?

7:35

What do you think they eat? Nathan

7:38

and Quinn They weren't sure, so they ran inside

7:40

and started to look around for anything that

7:43

might be good. Oh, I bet the

7:45

bronosaurus, the one that likes leaves, maybe

7:48

he'll like some salad. So

7:50

they grabbed a bag of salad. M

7:52

hmmm, what about

7:54

t Rex and the tristeretops.

7:57

Maybe some dog food. Yeah,

8:00

is a good idea. Let's bring dog food. And

8:03

as they brought all the food outside for the dinosaurs.

8:06

The rain was slowly stopping and

8:08

the sun was starting to come out, and

8:11

the dinosaurs gobbled up all the

8:14

food. This

8:19

is amazing. Quinn

8:21

couldn't believe his eyes. You're

8:25

telling me that we just drew

8:27

three dinosaurs on that piece of paper and then they came

8:29

to life. These really

8:32

are magic markers. Just

8:35

imagine the possibilities of what else we could

8:37

draw. If

8:40

you had a magic marker, what

8:42

do you think you would draw? Yeah,

8:46

it would come alive. It would

8:48

be real. Wow,

8:51

that would be so cool. Yeah,

8:54

Nathan and Quinn they

8:56

discovered something amazing with

8:59

their markers, and I think they're going to

9:01

spend the rest of their day drawing

9:03

some more friends. You

9:06

should too. You should spend

9:09

today thinking of some cool

9:11

creatures or things that you

9:13

should draw, and you should send

9:15

it to me on Instagram. Go

9:17

to our Kids Short Stories page on Instagram

9:20

and send me your favorite creature that you

9:22

wish would come alive right

9:25

out of your paper. Well,

9:27

you have a fantastic day and we'll see

9:29

you next time. On Kids Short Stories by
