San Francisco reached a deadly record last year, over 800 lives lost to accidental drug overdoses, bringing the city’s total overdose death rate to over 3000 since the start of 2020.

KCBS Radio's Shannon Golden has more from the city’s India Basin Neighborhood, where officials, medical professionals and community members gathered to commemorate the lives lost, and advocate for ways to turn the tides.
