Part Two of a two part interview: Meg Noteboom is a Newcomer Mentorship Facilitator at TNO, a non-profit community organization which provides social support to people in need. She provides counseling to newcomer professional clients and support them to connect to their relevant field of expertise in the Canadian labor market. She is also an immigrant, and she recently completed a master of immigration and settlement studies at Toronto Metropolitan University.
In this second part, Meg discusses the benefits of mentorship and networking to your success in Canada, how networking helped her get her position at TNO, and what newcomers and Canadian employers can get by going out of their comfort zones to bridge the culture gap.
