Millennials aren’t kids anymore; they are adults who are working and earning a living. And they are moving into management.

Teams are different today mainly from the influence of technology, automation, Agile methodologies, the Gig Economy and fluid careers, and increased entrepreneurship. We are living in the online world where they grew up. They see it and use it differently than Gen X or Boomers.

We hear about the challenges of the millennials as well as what they offer and bring to workplaces. But we don t often discuss their contributions to leadership.

Priyanka Komala will be joining us to discuss what it means to be a millennial leader at any level of an organization.

Our discussion will include topics like:

  • The type of leadership roles millennials play in organizations
  • What does that mean at the workplace? For teams? What are millennials bringing to work environments that wasn’t there before?
  • The difference between millennials and “everyone else” from a millennial perspective
  • Is there a “millennial leadership style?”
  • Challenges of millennials as they move into senior leadership
  • Gender and racial discrimination as millennials gain more influence
  • Personal branding – do millennials pay attention to their personal brand more than other age groups? What are the benefits? What can we all learn from this?
  • What we can learn from millennials and what they can learn from us
