In each episode Fred and Jam watch a selected horror movie and provide commentary. The film in the background (of which will not be heard) allows for a guide to talking points but is not the template for the show. As such, the facts and discussions that spawn from it can be enjoyed even without having the movie on yourself. Due to spoilers, it is encouraged that you have seen the film prior to listening.
