www.homoliciousliving.comIn this episode, we will talk about how fear holds us back from pursuing our dreams and desires.  We will dig into ways to overcome fear, so that you can achieve your goals.Delicious Dish:Today's Delicious Dish is about how to get a good night’s sleep.Sleep tipsTime your exercise right - Morning & afternoon is best.Cut down on caffeine.Small meals at night or early dinner and light bedtime snack.Avoid alcohol before bed - it interrupts sleep cycle.Avoid drinking too many liquids in the evening - frequent bathroom breaks.Try to go to sleep & get up at the same time every day - sets your body’s internal clock & optimizes the quality of your sleep.Avoid sleeping in even on weekends or nights you’ve stayed up late - upsets your internal clock. The more you weekday/weekend sleep schedule differs the more you struggle with sleep.Choose a nap instead of sleeping in - limit to 15-20 mins & if you struggle with insomnia or falling asleep & or staying asleep eliminate naps.Avoid electronics/TV before bedtime - the light suppresses your body’s natural melatonin production.Listen to relaxing music or sounds/ read but keep light low.Make sure room is dark when it is time to go to sleep - light disrupts sleep.Keep a journal by your bed to write out your thoughts so your head is clear for sleep.Deep breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation, visualization exercises.Diffuse or smell essential oils like lavender, Ylang Ylang, Chamomile, Bergamot & sandalwood.Take Magnesium - settles the brain at night, muscle relaxer.Create a bedtime ritual - read a book, stretch, hot bath, soft music, masturbate.Fear of failure We quit what causes us the emotion of fear.We sabotage ourselves to succeed and make excuses or don’t give our 100% effort. We settle for less and call it success…we lie to ourselves. We worry about not being good enough and feeling vulnerableWe are scared to disappoint the people closes to us.We worry about judgment from othersFear of successThe road to success involves risksThe excitement of success can feel like anxietyWe can’t predict our future, and fear of the unknown is very powerful. We doubt our own worthiness of success. We fear that success will lead to loneliness and make us unlovable because of our power. We fear being attacked by our enemies; they want our money or other things. If we succeed, we will be disappointed in ourselves that we waited so long. How to overcome your fears“Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” – George AddairDevelop Accurate Perception - experiences in life determine our perception, our perception of a situation determines our thoughts & that creates how we feel about the situation. Feelings fuel our actions.Believe in yourself - Believe you can do it! Nothing kills a dream for quickly than doubt. It is easier to take a risk when you believe you can achieve what you are trying to do.Surrender the Outcome - success is not guaranteed, there is always a lesson to be learned.Realize that the common denominator to every problem in your life is that YOU were there when it happened. That also means, YOU have the power to change things.Forgive yourself for “failures” in your past, so that you can use your power to change things for the better.Stop waiting for guarantees about the future.Visualize your successful future like a movie and push “play” whenever you have doubts.A successful vision of your future will motivate you, help you identify the obstacles, and overcome them.Write your fears on a piece of paper, then throw the paper away as a symbol of you letting go of your fears. If you give it your all, are confident and courageous, you will find success in some degree.      If you never try, you guarantee to never succeed.“No one is perfect, that’s why pencils have erasers.” Author unknownWe give examples of fears we’ve had and how we overcame them. Things that make you go Hmmm?
