Dr. Madrid discusses 9 signs and symptoms of a magnesium deficiency and which common medications may be the cause.   Doctors estimate up to 4 in 5 people have low magnesium levels.  You can also watch the video version of this on www.youtube.com

These symptoms include:

-Eyelid twitches

-Leg cramps

-Heart Palpitations

-Menstrual Cramps

-Overactive Bladder

-Constipation

-Tension Headaches

-Migraine Headaches

-Esophageal Spasms (?Chest pain)

Many supplement with magnesium chelate  (ie magnesium citrate, mag malate, mag fumarate, etc.)  at a dose ranging from 125 to 400 mg per day.  Magnesium oxide is not usually advised most of the time due to it's overall low absorption. Although, magnesium oxide is helpful for many with constipation.
