Why does it feel like God answers some prayers for miracles and not others? Sometimes it feels like some people have a life full of suffering, while others “seem” to escape major suffering in their lives. Being that I (Karen) am someone who works in healing ministry and believes that God longs to heal the brokenness in his children’s lives, I also struggle when I see faithful people praying for a miracle that doesn’t end up coming. I know God is not some sort of genie that answers our wishes, but we know that a big part of Jesus’ ministry on earth was geared toward healing. So there is a lot of mystery in this age old question so many of us face.
