The Sale of Buyers Property (SOBP) clause/condition can be attached to an offer to purchase a home when the buyer needs the money out of the sale of their old home to complete the financing/purchase of their new home. Now, this condition/clause was common throughout the years up until the 2020 real estate market when multiple offers made that particular condition extinct. Now after all of the interest rate hikes, and a slow down/cooling of the Halifax market, the real estate industry has seen a return of the SOBP clause as buyers try to move into new homes in different price points or provinces.
