And we are live with the legend Greg

0:03

Doucette man, we got a great podcast coming free out. Let's

0:05

get into it, baby Let's go!

0:38

At Kroger, we

0:41

want our fresh produce

0:43

to meet your expectations.

1:00

To make sure a bad apple won't spoil

1:02

the whole bunch, we do up to a 27-point inspection

1:05

on our fruits and veggies. We check for things like

1:08

sunburns and scarring, making sure

1:10

you only get the crunchiest apples. In

1:12

fact, only the best produce like juicy

1:14

pears, zesty oranges, and crisp

1:17

carrots reach our shelves because when it

1:19

comes to fresh, our higher standards

1:21

mean fresher produce.

1:23

Kroger, fresh for everyone. As

1:26

if the McChrissy couldn't get any better. Bacon

1:29

and Ranch just entered the chat. The

1:32

Bacon Ranch McChrissy, available

1:35

1:38

Ba-da-ba-ba-ba.

2:00

without further ado, man, we got a legend in the

2:02

house. Hey,

2:05

Greg, so I'm happy to have you on the podcast, man. I

2:07

know who you are. I'm sure a lot of people in our audience know who

2:09

you are, but for those that may not know, can you introduce

2:11

yourself to the people, please? Well, I'm basically

2:14

a 47-year-old man lit, a 5'6", 180

2:16

pounds professional bodybuilder,

2:19

powerlifter. I'm on YouTube, and I've

2:21

recently turned into a cyclist, so I

2:23

have a mixed bag of information. I also have a

2:25

master's degree in kinesiology. I've been at this since

2:27

I was 10 years old, done 59

2:30

competitions, and so I'm ready to talk.

2:32

Yeah. Awesome, man.

2:34

So can you tell us a little bit about your training and

2:36

your background? Well,

2:39

I started training at 10. I used to do triathlons.

2:41

I was a physical education teacher, taught a bunch

2:44

of different subjects. I did that for about 11 years. And

2:46

so I started training at 10. Okay.

2:49

Sorry. Go ahead. And

2:51

then I had my master's in kinesiology. So I've been studying

2:53

about the human body my whole life, and I did

2:55

a lot of powerlifting bodybuilding contests.

2:58

So I have a lot of experience practicing these things.

3:00

I've coached thousands of athletes. I've been doing it

3:02

my whole life and so now I've transitioned more

3:05

into doing cardio but I still lift

3:07

weights. I still

3:07

add it three days a week. I'm still staying in good shape

3:10

and so you know that's it. That's all I've done. And

3:13

you got a bachelor's and a master's degree

3:15

in kinesiology. Can you talk about that a little

3:17

bit and how it helps you as far as coaching people?

3:20

Well if you don't have an education

3:22

then how do you know what you're talking about?

3:24

So when I'm making videos talking about things,

3:27

I think back, okay, I have the education, I

3:29

learned certain things, but then I was able to apply it

3:31

on myself and on others like in the real

3:33

world because a lot of times you read something,

3:35

but then you apply it and you're like, that doesn't make sense.

3:38

And so having that experience, personal experience

3:40

as long as well as the education and coaching others,

3:42

that's what gives me that well-rounded bit

3:44

of information to help everyone. Yeah.

3:46

Nice. Fantastic. So,

3:50

you got a IPvPro card back in 2012, man. Can

3:53

you take us through that, what the prep

3:56

was like, how long it took you in,

3:58

I mean getting IPP pro card is

4:00

extremely difficult, man.

4:01

I think I had the longest journey anyone. I

4:03

literally got my pro card on my 50th

4:06

competition. So I'd started competing in grade 12,

4:09

50th competition. Mind you, I did 42 shows

4:12

natural. And so I was on PDs.

4:15

I wasn't natural when I turned pro. When I was natural,

4:17

wasn't big enough. I was in the 170s, got

4:19

my pro card, it was about 195 pounds. And

4:23

the diet, I mean, it was always dieting, like

4:25

literally. It felt like, I feel like I've been on a diet

4:27

my whole life.

4:28

Greg, I'm curious,

4:30

man. So I have people that I

4:33

know are going to competitions, right? And I'm just curious

4:35

to know how

4:36

many people in those competitions actually natural or

4:38

natty, you think? At the nationals,

4:40

like the show I did, probably no one,

4:43

maybe one. I mean,

4:46

almost nobody and the ones that are

4:48

winning, nobody. Like there's no way I

4:50

did. I competed at nationals in the

4:52

lighter divisions, like when I was a lightweight and so

4:54

on, I could win at that level. But I mean, the weight classes

4:56

are like 150 pounds. But at the top

4:59

level the guys winning pro cards like when

5:01

you're five foot six hundred ninety five pounds with five

5:03

percent body fat You're not natural.

5:05

So almost nobody Okay,

5:08

good fair enough So

5:10

when you how long did you prep for that and you said you had done 50

5:13

shows prior Take us through that man and how long

5:15

had you been training at that point? I

5:17

Started training at ten. I would have

5:19

been well 2012. So 11 years ago. I would have been like 35 36 years

5:21

old I

5:25

mean, how long did I train? Well, I did the provincial

5:27

championships. I remember

5:29

I started my diet, I was 206 pounds. I

5:32

was off gear and then I went on gear

5:34

and six weeks into my diet, I was still 206 pounds

5:37

and then I ended up at the provincials in

5:39

the heavyweight division like around 198. You

5:42

maintain 206 pounds. I was dropping fat

5:45

and putting on muscle at the same time from going on

5:47

cycle and so I made it to the stage,

5:49

I was 198 pounds, I was heavy weight for the

5:51

first time and I I won heavyweight

5:53

and overall and then I competed

5:55

a week later and I got beat by the lightweight

5:58

in the overall And everyone's like,

6:00

there's no way you're winning national.

6:02

You can't even beat a lightweight. I'm like, watch

6:05

me. I'm going to do it. And then so I just

6:07

kept going and I got even leaner. I showed

6:09

up to the nationals like in the lower one nineties, went

6:12

on way more gear, like doubled everything up,

6:14

added in trend, went on as much of

6:16

anything as I could handle and showed

6:18

up in one to show and, and, and got my pro

6:20

card. Greg, how much is

6:23

it mindset over, for example, like body composition?

6:25

So I feel like when is the mindset where you're going to win, you

6:27

win. First, when you just come in, they were the body's like, okay,

6:30

we're the body, but like, are you ready to win the show?

6:32

Honestly, if you don't have like

6:34

an obsessive personality, like you're

6:36

not like addicted to success.

6:39

There's no way you can compete in bodybuilding at that level.

6:41

The diet, people don't understand how hard it is. Most

6:44

people, they're like, oh, I don't want a burger. I'm craving

6:46

a burger and fries and they can't do it. They might die to

6:49

like 10%, but I'm telling you, every

6:51

percent leaner, it's 10 times harder. You

6:53

get to 6%, you're shredded. You're not

6:55

even close to ready it. to get a pro card, you

6:57

need to be mind blowing shredded.

7:00

And so everyone can do it, but

7:03

do they want to or should they? Probably not.

7:05

And so I think what helped me is I had this obsessive

7:07

personality to be the best at everything. Like I

7:09

just put everything into everything I wanted to do,

7:11

whether it was school or a job or

7:13

anything, I always worked so hard. And so

7:16

I took on bodybuilding as a huge challenge. I'm like,

7:18

I'm going to do it. It's kind of like David Goggins. Like

7:20

you don't know me, you don't know what I'm about. I'm

7:22

gonna put everything into this. And

7:25

it came out on top eventually, after 50 times

7:27

trying.

7:28

Wow. And I think people kind

7:30

of underestimate the difficulty

7:32

it takes to get extremely lean. Once you're, when

7:35

you're at 10% body fat, you look pretty damn good. You're

7:37

on the beach, your veins are popping, abs are showing,

7:39

you look really good. But once you get to like

7:41

sub 10%, you're going from 7%

7:44

to 6% to 5%.

7:44

Each percentile

7:48

is a significant increase in your

7:50

dieting, how you have to have things on point,

7:52

et cetera.

7:53

Can you talk about how, because I've said this before,

7:55

Typically the better you look, the worse

7:58

you feel. And you can't- Thank you. I

8:00

can't express how horrible I felt

8:02

dieting to this level. Essentially

8:04

the last month, I can barely function

8:06

as a human being. No matter how

8:09

good your diet is, how much training you have, no matter

8:11

how many drugs you're taking, and I was on all of them, I

8:13

had to get my girlfriend sometimes to get me out of the bathtub.

8:16

I couldn't drive myself to the gym sometimes.

8:19

Shoulder check, I'm getting in car accidents, I crashed my

8:21

car underground one time. I'm in a

8:23

mess. I'm wrecked. That's how hard

8:25

it is. You just keep

8:27

going. The only reason I did this is because I was so good

8:29

at it. I was so determined to reach that goal. It's kind of like climbing

8:32

Mount Everest. Every step higher towards

8:34

the top, it's that much harder. It's thin air. The

8:36

bottom, it's easy. Halfway up, you're like, ah, it's not

8:38

bad. But man, when you're at the top, it's

8:41

so hard. You can't live up there. And so you

8:43

have to come back down the mountain. That's why

8:45

people are bulking and cutting as bodybuilders because

8:47

you can't maintain 3%, 4%, 5% body

8:50

fat year round and you would just fall apart. I couldn't

8:52

physically nor mentally handle that. So it

8:54

is that hard and I would argue harder than you

8:56

think

8:57

to be that lean. I

8:59

remember I bulked up one, you know, all the way up

9:01

to 250 for me, you know, that was fat. And

9:04

then I got down, I wouldn't even, I would say

9:06

maybe 9, 8% body fat, you know, obviously nowhere near

9:08

going on stage, but you start to have libido

9:10

issues, you start to get really tired, you start to get irritable,

9:12

everything pisses you off. You know, you

9:14

have very little energy to do anything outside

9:17

of train. And how long

9:19

did that prep take you for the IFBB? How

9:21

long did you prep for? 6 months, 8 months? Honestly,

9:24

I was dieting the whole year because I competed

9:26

in that provincial championship where I won and

9:28

then

9:28

the next week I had the Atlantic's and then

9:31

I was I think 12 weeks out from the Nationals

9:33

and so I just kept dieting. I

9:35

didn't diet as hard but I was always

9:37

single digit body fat. I didn't have much

9:39

energy the entire time. That last

9:42

month, for me, when I'm at like 6%,

9:44

it's like from

9:46

then on, it's like I can't function.

9:49

I can't do anything. I remember I did this natural

9:51

back in the day. I was a school teacher. I'd have to

9:53

show up. I could hardly keep my eyes open. I

9:55

couldn't concentrate. You had to be

9:58

nice. some of schoolteacher have kids all day. long.

10:00

So I had to hold it in. So you learned how to become

10:02

more intrinsic with yourself. You

10:05

hate the world. You don't feel good, but you

10:07

have to be nice, polite, smile to kids

10:09

all day. And I'm like losing my mind. Like you

10:11

want to say like, shut up, but you can't. And

10:14

so it was hard. But I'm telling

10:16

you, even with drugs, even with steroids, all

10:18

that's all everything in the world, it's still a nightmare.

10:21

It's still absolutely nearly

10:23

impossible to do.

10:24

So two questions for you. Number one, what

10:26

should an average guy that's natty that isn't trying

10:29

to compete or step on stage, be at as

10:31

far as body fat percentage to look attractive. That's

10:33

part one. And then part two, can you take

10:35

us through

10:36

gear usage and should

10:38

guys consider it? Should they not give us the pros

10:40

and cons? And you've been really transparent about gear

10:42

uses, which I think why so many people love you. Some

10:45

great questions. I remember all of them. I'll start

10:47

with the first one. For just general fitness

10:49

and health for men, it's 15%. Women

10:52

add on 9%. There's essential fat

10:54

that women have to have. So a woman at 15%, it's

10:56

going to be shredded. For men, 15% is

10:58

going to look amazing. I actually did a video on this,

11:01

what body fat percentage do women

11:03

prefer. Anywhere

11:06

from 10% to 15% for 90% of women, that's

11:08

where they're going to like. Not many girls are going for

11:10

that shredded single digit body fat. They

11:12

just don't like as much. For general

11:14

aesthetics, 10% to 12% and for athletic

11:17

performance, that's usually where I try to get someone.

11:20

15% just for general health, you're going

11:22

to feel good. You're going to look good. Anything

11:25

lower than 15%. It's not going to make you healthier or

11:27

more like live longer,

11:29

but in general, it's going to make you look a little

11:31

bit better to the opposite sex, depending

11:34

on the person. And so I would recommend 15% body

11:37

fat for these people. And so what's the next question?

11:39

And then the second question was, you're very

11:42

transparent about gear usage and gear in

11:44

general. Which

11:46

I think is why so many people respect you. We know we got a lot of

11:48

fake natties running around and we'll talk about fake natties as well on

11:50

your YouTube channel here in a second. Can

11:53

you tell us a little bit about

11:55

how prevalent gear usage is and why

11:57

you chose to be so transparent about it?

11:59

There's way more people on, I'll

12:01

call it gear, I'll call it performance enhancing

12:04

drugs than people think. And so for example, people

12:06

often ask steroids, steroids. More

12:08

people are on sarms than steroids. And sarms are

12:10

selective androgen receptor modulators, which are band

12:14

performance enhancing drugs. Like they're

12:16

easier to get, they're often not used with

12:18

a needle, and so people are more comfortable with that. And so

12:21

it's way more common than people think. I would say

12:24

probably one out of every four people that are at the gym

12:26

that you see looking and walking around are on it. Oftentimes,

12:29

it's not the person that looks like me. I'm

12:32

only on 140 milligrams a test a week. I've been

12:34

on HRT, haven't done a cycle of not doing peptides,

12:36

nothing else for nearly four years now. Mostly

12:39

people look at the biggest guy in the gym and think, that

12:41

person's on it, but they're not thinking about the

12:43

people that are, for example, 30% body

12:46

fat and have no muscle, and they just want to look average.

12:49

They just want to be able to take their shirt off in the summer and

12:51

just fit in and look average. Those people

12:53

are on steroids. I know that because I sold it to them. I

12:55

used to sell steroids.

12:57

I knew that I was like, y'all think

12:59

it's this, this, and this guy. And I'm obviously not telling

13:01

anyone who's doing it. But most of the time

13:03

it was average looking people that

13:05

just wanted to fit in and be OK. And

13:07

those are the ones that were doing it.

13:09

Men and women.

13:11

You know, you know, it's funny, man. So I'm in the

13:13

gym training a lot more as well. Right. And like my

13:15

trainer is telling me, yo, bro, what's

13:17

guys you see nowadays, especially that compete or

13:19

using that stuff? And it's like it's unfair because you can't really

13:21

go in there naturally. Because once again, everyone's

13:23

on it. Yeah, everyone's on it. Now, how

13:25

long did you train naturally before you decided to go

13:27

to the dark side?

13:29

I was in my 30s.

13:31

So we're talking over 20 years. I've done 42 shows

13:34

natural before I did anything. I

13:36

would go into natural contests and win without

13:38

even, I don't want to say I didn't have to try,

13:40

but it was excessively easy to

13:43

win a drug tested contest because the level

13:45

of physique was night and day.

13:47

And then when you enter an enhanced contest,

13:49

all of a sudden, I'm just one of the the normal guy, like

13:52

you go from really excelling in

13:54

a drug free event to being just average or

13:56

below average, once you can do anything

13:58

you want.

13:59

different.

14:00

Now, for the audience that might

14:03

not understand or know this world of performance-enhancing

14:05

drugs, can we go over the main

14:08

big ones that people typically use and how they work?

14:11

The main steroids that people take? Yeah,

14:14

because we're making jokes, oh yeah,

14:16

Tran and SARS and Anavar

14:18

and all this other stuff and testosterone, people might not know

14:20

the difference. Can you give the people a quick little… As

14:22

far as SARS steroids go, by

14:25

far, not even nothing even

14:27

close. More people use this than every other

14:29

thing put together would be testosterone.

14:30

That's the basic male hormone. That's what I'm

14:32

on right now. That's what my doctor prescribes. Everything

14:35

else is basically a derivative of that. It's basically testosterone

14:38

made in a different way to give you a different kind of

14:40

look, just to keep things simple.

14:43

And so most people are just using testosterone

14:45

at various doses. However, there's oral

14:47

and so a lot of people are taking something like anavar,

14:50

which would be probably the most common drug for

14:52

women, but it has a lot less side effects,

14:54

a lot less water and bloating. And although

14:57

it's more expensive, so a lot of people are taking anavar.

14:59

A lot of people would take anavar before

15:01

they take an injectable because not everyone's comfortable

15:04

injecting. So they don't want to do that. Something

15:06

like D-ball would be very common, very

15:08

popular, but it's going to make you a lot more puffy

15:11

holding a lot of water. Something like Trend,

15:13

although everyone jokes about it, it's not

15:15

used nearly as much, maybe 20% as

15:18

much as actual testosterone. It's so

15:20

much stronger, makes you feel horrible,

15:23

you insomnia, just uneasy

15:26

feeling like you just don't feel good on it.

15:28

Like every time I use trend, I couldn't wait

15:30

for it to stop versus if I'm using

15:32

testosterone, I feel like Superman all

15:34

the time. Trend, it makes you feel like shit, but

15:37

you look great. So that's the trade off.

15:39

Gotcha. What would your message be to

15:41

anyone that's thinking about potentially going

15:44

down the road of the dark side?

15:46

The problem with it is once you've had a taste

15:49

for it, it's very hard to stop because you're

15:51

You're going to lose at least half the gains that you

15:53

made while you're on it. You're not going to feel as good

15:55

after you stop. Your sex hormones

15:57

go in the dump. I mean, that's on top of it. Is it

15:59

legal in-

16:00

country like in Canada, it's legal. You can actually

16:02

use it. You can't get in trouble. Other countries, it may not be

16:04

legal. But the downfall really

16:06

is that addictive

16:07

nature to feeling how you feel on

16:09

it. And so it's very hard to stop. And so the problem,

16:11

people are like, I'll just do one cycle. I'll

16:14

put on 20 pounds of muscle, which they're not going

16:16

to, one in a hundred bite. And then they

16:18

think, I'll just...

16:49

At Kroger, we want our fresh produce to

16:52

meet your expectations. To make

16:54

sure a bad apple won't spoil the whole bunch,

16:57

we do up to a 27-point inspection on

16:59

our fruits and veggies. We check for things like

17:01

sunburns and scarring, making sure

17:03

you only get the crunchiest apples. In

17:06

fact, only the best produce like juicy

17:08

pears, zesty oranges, and crisp

17:10

carrots reach our shelves. Because when it

17:12

comes to fresh, our higher standards

17:15

mean fresher produce.

17:16

Kroger, fresh for everyone. Keep

17:19

it and stop and I'll be good. But the problem is they

17:21

go on, get half the results they thought they'd

17:23

get, then they get off of it, then

17:26

they feel like shit, they can't get an erection,

17:28

They can't have sex. They're like, this sucks.

17:31

And they go back on it. And then they say,

17:33

well, I did the same dose. I didn't get the same

17:35

results because your body gets used to it. You need

17:37

more. You double the dose. You double

17:39

the dose. Pretty soon you're doing 3000 milligrams a week.

17:42

You start at three, four, 500 and you're

17:44

not getting any better. And so that's a

17:46

big problem.

17:47

I'm not gonna like Greg. I just want to lose my balls.

17:52

Smaller balls makes your dick look bigger. So that is

17:54

not a problem. I've

17:56

always said, and I want to get your take on this,

17:58

Greg, what you think, I've always said.

18:00

If you're not competing to become a pro,

18:02

you're not chasing a pro card, you're not a fitness influencer

18:05

where your image is literally how you make your money.

18:08

And train naturally for at least

18:10

five to 10 years, figure out the rudimentary basics.

18:14

Then if your income is absolutely dependent

18:16

upon it, whatever it may be, and you have no other choice,

18:18

then I guess maybe you can maybe come to that

18:20

conclusion. But I tell people all the time, stay

18:22

natural as long as you can. Try to avoid

18:24

going down the dark side if you can. And honestly,

18:27

if your income or

18:29

your life isn't dependent upon it, probably

18:31

isn't worth it, man. I mean, what are your

18:33

thoughts on that? I have the opposite opinion of what most people,

18:35

and most people are like, if you're not competing, you shouldn't

18:37

use it. My advice obviously

18:38

is don't use it ever. Like you obviously

18:40

shouldn't. And if you do, take the lowest dose

18:43

that makes you happy. And so rather than thinking,

18:45

I'll take 500, if 200 is enough, take 200. Well,

18:47

obviously ask your doctor, don't break the law. But

18:50

my take is this. People say, oh

18:52

yeah, you don't need it because you're not competing. The

18:54

person that's not competing that just

18:56

wants to look average, like take

18:58

a two on 10 body, their dream

19:01

would be to have a five on 10 body. Just average.

19:03

I just love to be average. That person to me has just

19:05

as much right as the nine on 10 Chad

19:08

that wants to look like Chris Bumstead and win the Mr. Olympia.

19:10

I see no difference on someone's desire

19:12

to improve their physique, whether they're 250 pounds

19:15

of muscle and need 10 more to win the Olympia versus

19:17

a guy who's 150 pounds, 30% body

19:19

fat and just wants to get a girlfriend, just wants to get

19:21

looked at for once. I see

19:24

no difference in that. So I've

19:26

had this debate a lot with people. Most people disagree with

19:28

me, but I'm a guy that thinks, I

19:30

don't care where you start. To me, they have just as

19:33

much reason to use something as somebody who's like

19:35

at that elite level.

19:36

Yeah. Wow. And

19:39

I would agree. I see, I agree that people shouldn't use it at all, but let's be

19:41

honest here. A lot of times guys ask you just,

19:43

and they're going to take it anyway. So I look at it like, damn, dude, if

19:45

I could stave it off and tell you, train

19:47

five to 10 years at least, maybe they'll be able to build

19:49

a good physique that they're happy with in that five to 10 years.

19:52

And they'll say, you know what? gear usage because

19:54

one thing I've learned is people a lot of times they ask you advice but they

19:56

never follow it anyway. Yeah, and to

19:58

save 5 to 10 years... There's

20:00

almost nobody

20:02

last five years in the gym before they take

20:04

anything. You're right. Almost nobody last five

20:06

years in the gym period. Like I coached,

20:09

I used to coach powerlifting in high school kids.

20:12

There isn't one kid that's still powerlifting right now.

20:14

There were some that were wet. Two of them went to the world championships.

20:17

They don't keep going. People joined the gym. They

20:19

have newbie gains. It's fun. And

20:21

after two or three years, the gains slow down so

20:23

much. They just don't enjoy it because

20:26

they don't see that change from day to day. Same

20:28

thing is dieting down. Somebody's overweight.

20:31

They can lose 100 pounds quickly, but it's 10

20:33

times harder to put on muscle than it is to lose fat.

20:36

And so people who are their goals to build muscle,

20:38

they might gain three, four, maybe

20:39

five pounds in a year if they're lucky

20:41

after the first years. And so they don't want to

20:43

do it. And so most people that take steroids

20:46

are doing so within the first two or three years of training. They're

20:49

not waiting. Yeah, they get addicted to those fast gains with the newbie

20:51

gains. And you know, that first one to two years

20:53

is literally addicting. And then after that, your gains

20:56

drop off dramatically. So I could see that that's a good

20:58

point that you make there why so many people go

20:59

to the dark side after two to three years because they're

21:02

like, I want these gains fast again. And

21:04

so my advice is to really slow

21:06

down your progress. I was personally very fortunate.

21:08

I started training at 10. So you think, well, all your newbie

21:11

games would have been done by the time you're 20. But while

21:13

doing this, I started doing triathlons at 13. And

21:15

so I was doing like, you know, three

21:18

to five hours of cardio a day doing, I

21:20

was doing 500 kilometer bike rides per week for,

21:22

for years doing this. So the amount

21:24

of muscle I was putting on through my teenage years

21:26

was very, very,

21:28

it was highly reduced like very

21:30

hard. I was doing like 20 hours cardio a week. And

21:32

so throughout my high school years and then in my, in university,

21:35

I was bodybuilding doing triathlons at the same

21:38

time. So my gains were very slow. They

21:40

were halted. And so when I finally got into

21:42

my twenties and I need to take bodybuilding more serious,

21:45

I stopped doing triathlons, focused on bodybuilding

21:47

and my gains kept going at a pretty good rate. And

21:49

so I had that dopamine, that rush of

21:51

seeing my physique improve every single year

21:53

for a lot longer than most people. I think

21:55

if I hadn't done triathlons, I would have been and a lot better,

21:57

a lot bigger

21:58

in my early 20s. I

22:00

would have probably stopped and I would have probably been tempted

22:02

to use steroids a lot younger But for

22:04

me as long as I was improving

22:06

I didn't I didn't feel I need to take anything

22:09

I didn't compare myself to others. I was winning every show

22:11

I did practically so I'm like I'm winning the shows

22:13

I'm natural. I'm better than I was last show

22:16

and so I didn't see the need but eventually I hit

22:18

a plateau I wasn't improving and

22:21

I wasn't getting a pro card I was winning the drug tested

22:23

Canadian nationals the overall and I was like no

22:25

pro card I wanted to turn pro so I had to

22:27

join the dark side. That's

22:29

literally what happened. Yeah, Greg

22:31

Yes, let's say I'm a beginner, right? I don't

22:33

want to get into like the fitness world so to speak

22:36

but I want to add something to this regimen I'm doing right

22:38

now should be a protein powder Creatine

22:41

or even like growth hormone. What should it be? I just

22:43

start with

22:44

as a beginner if you're in your teenage years

22:46

I don't advise adding anything But if there was one

22:48

thing that was like the first the

22:51

newbie starter thing it would be creatine I

22:53

would have to say. Crazy for sure as

22:55

a young kid. But the number

22:57

one supplement I would say for an adult to

22:59

take would be NMN. It's

23:03

been promoted by Andrew Huberman on the Joe Rogan podcast.

23:06

It's actually that, where

23:07

is this?

23:09

Right there. That

23:12

is the number one supplement. It slows

23:14

the aging process. It gives you more cardiovascular

23:17

ability. It's been shown in like double blind

23:19

human placebo controlled studies. This stuff

23:21

is amazing. This

23:24

is a supplement to take. If you're

23:27

into hard training, because you can

23:29

recover better between sets, you have more energy.

23:31

And it's human studies proving this

23:33

stuff. It's not like my studies and

23:36

no negative side effects. And so for me, if I had to

23:38

take between creatine and this, it's

23:40

like no game. It's like no contest. But

23:42

I'm 47. I want to live a long life

23:44

and other benefits, better sleep,

23:47

feel better, increased mood. I mean, to

23:49

me, that's the best because if you take this, you can train

23:51

harder, the harder you train, the more your results.

23:53

Creatine, pretty much the most studies,

23:55

like a thousand studies, you'll probably put on about

23:57

two to three pounds of muscle, which to me, That's fen-

24:00

But

24:00

that's it. It's going to build muscle.

24:02

It's not really making you live longer. It's

24:04

not improving your cardio. So

24:07

if you had to pick between those two, that's what

24:09

I do. But for a younger person,

24:11

probably have less money, creating the cheapest

24:13

supplement that works. Protein powder is

24:15

great, but

24:16

you can get it in food. You don't need protein powder.

24:18

The only reason I use protein powder is because I love it in my recipes

24:21

and stuff like that. I have a sweet tooth. So that's

24:23

why I eat protein powder.

24:24

Got it. Going back. Can you repeat

24:27

it for the audience one more time? Because they're like calling it. What

24:29

is it called? I mean? NNNNNNN.

24:32

It's

24:33

in Geo2Max,

24:36

but you can get it. But it's actually been recently banned

24:39

by the FDA in the United States,

24:41

not around the world because they're trying to label

24:44

it as a drug. They're saying what

24:46

it is, is pharmaceutical companies who are making

24:48

billions and trillions of dollars recognize just

24:50

how good this stuff is. And they're like, we want

24:52

to make the money. So they're trying to say supplement companies

24:54

shouldn't be allowed to sell it. And so we're working

24:56

on that. fighting, we're lobbying to try

24:59

to reverse the decision. They did the same thing on

25:01

NAC or NAC, something to

25:03

help your liver. I wanted to put that in my

25:05

liver support supplement and then we had to take it out.

25:07

The FDA was cracking down on it. They banned it being

25:09

sold on Amazon. It was banned

25:11

on March 13th on Amazon, this NMN.

25:14

But they did the same thing to NAC, but they recently

25:16

reversed the ban. So I'm hoping

25:19

that they say, come on, it's got no negative

25:21

side of things. That's in a great area right

25:23

now in the United States. It's legal in Canada, up

25:25

in the States is banned right now. Yes, and

25:27

it's not even banned by WADA. So you can use it in the

25:29

Olympics, you can use it in,

25:33

for example, the UFC. And so I'm like,

25:35

why are you banning this stuff? Imagine

25:37

banning caffeine. You can't get your coffee at

25:40

the friggin Starbucks. You'd have to go to your

25:42

local drugstore to get a caffeine, like

25:45

caffeine fix. It's crazy. And

25:47

creatine, yeah, definitely the most widely

25:49

researched sports supplement. There's thousands of studies

25:52

on creatine. and you'll get the

25:54

basic amount of hydrate guys, you know, five, ten grams a

25:56

day, you'll be fine. It takes about what, three weeks

25:58

to load into the muscles? I'm not mistaken.

26:00

And then at that notice gains, yeah,

26:02

five grams a day for most people is going to be more than

26:04

enough three grams for a lot Of people would be enough

26:06

I mean if you have maybe one in a hundred people

26:08

need more than like six grams But yeah, it's

26:10

certainly gonna work after a few weeks saturates in

26:12

your blood. Just use it long term

26:15

You don't need to load on it. You don't need to cycle off.

26:17

It's not gonna make you fat It's just water

26:19

in the muscle increased energy It

26:22

combines with a DP to perform ATP

26:24

that what the energy you need to use for like

26:26

lifting weights and so on so Definitely

26:28

a supplement you'd want.

29:08

guys, don't worry for the chat. Don't worry, we're

29:10

going to have a Q&A at the end with the chat. So

29:12

don't worry if you guys have any questions for Greg. Go ahead and

29:14

shoot them in now. I see the chats are piling up. I

29:17

got one more question though before we get into the chats.

29:19

So Greg, me and you were kind of having a laughing about this before.

29:22

So you ended up getting in a little bit of trouble, right,

29:25

with the CBSA Canadian

29:27

Border Services Agency, if I'm not mistaken, is the

29:29

correct acronym. Yeah. Can

29:31

you tell us about that a little bit? And it was days after you won your pro

29:33

card. Four days after

29:35

I get my pro card. So I'm on cloud nine, I got

29:38

new sponsorship

29:38

contracts, I'm making money,

29:41

I'm like, I can't believe I've done this, my dream,

29:43

my goal. And then I get arrested selling

29:46

steroids and importing

29:48

them for another country. And so I ended up with 20

29:50

months house arrest, $50,000 fine, give or take.

29:54

And that was years ago. So I couldn't get in the United States criminal

29:57

record, couldn't teach schools. So I had to start my career

29:59

over. I was like.

30:00

What am I going to do? So I just kept coaching,

30:02

um, started a YouTube channel, said, I got to coach

30:04

more people around the world to spread this out,

30:06

but right now I've hired lawyers, I'm trying to get

30:08

the United States. I went to the border recently.

30:11

They detained me. I'm like, I'm just here to get a waiver.

30:13

I'm there for four and a half hours trying

30:15

to sneak a text to my lawyer saying like, what

30:17

are they doing here? I can't leave, but I'm not

30:20

under arrest. So a bunch

30:21

of bullshit, but hopefully they're

30:23

going to let me in. They, they kind of like

30:25

examine what have you done. I'm like, well, I have business

30:27

in the United States and so on. It's been 10

30:29

years. I haven't done any criminal anything so you

30:31

know let me in please type of thing. Well, hopefully I

30:34

get in We'll see what happens should find out soon

30:36

and and because I know some of you guys are wondering

30:38

like yo Why is the in studio etcetera? We try to make

30:40

the interview happen here in Miami guys, but we couldn't because

30:43

he couldn't come in I haven't been able

30:45

to get on so many people like I get asked all

30:47

the time huge like you know 100 million

30:49

follower like Big

30:51

channels that I'm like, I'm unfortunately

30:53

I can't get in and so yeah, it's it's not

30:55

great for business They're definitely holding me back, but

30:58

I mean let me in you

30:59

can always call Drake bro. He called Gucci man in

31:01

No, no, no him. It's

31:04

him. He's in Canada. He's trying to come United States. Oh vice

31:06

versa. He can work it out called drink man I

31:09

don't think Drake This

31:13

guy man, yo, it's it's coach

31:15

Greg Drake. Do you need a Yeah, it's

31:19

other way around. Yeah,

31:21

because Gucci has a criminal history. So like the way

31:24

it works, and this is me coming from former law enforcement,

31:26

like

31:26

Canadians have access to US law enforcement,

31:29

law enforcement records and vice versa. So Gucci

31:32

Mane had a felony convictions in

31:34

the US, so Canada wouldn't let them in. And it goes all

31:36

the way around. If you have convictions in Canada, they're not going

31:38

to let you into the United States. So

31:40

it's kind of like a weird situation,

31:42

but yeah, hopefully they'll let you in, man. I I mean, it's been

31:44

a while. Canada is a Visa waiver

31:47

free country anyway. So, you know,

31:49

hopefully we'll be able to do an energy. I'm hoping for the best, that's

31:51

for sure, yeah.

31:52

So tell us about like, how did you overcome

31:54

that? Cause at that point, right? You obviously ended up getting a

31:57

low. So you're on this high, you get your pro card, awesome

31:59

your spots. Sponsorships

32:00

are hitting you up. You've still got your teaching

32:02

job. You're thinking, damn, I'm ready to be an entrepreneur. Next

32:04

thing you know, bam, you get arrested, $50,000 worth

32:06

of fines. You get a felony

32:08

conviction in Canada. You end up losing your job.

32:11

Tell us how you were able to build yourself up back from that.

32:13

Well, yeah, I mean, I literally was sitting

32:16

on the floor. I had a cardboard box with my

32:19

laptop and stuff, and I'm like,

32:21

I'm eating with plastic forks. I have

32:24

no money. I owe the lawyers money. I owe

32:26

the fine. I haven't paid that off, and they gave me 10 years

32:29

to pay it. I paid it off a few

32:30

years. YouTube did well. I ended up paying that

32:32

off. But I had to start from scratch. And so

32:34

I kept coaching people. Now

32:36

that I had a pro card, it was almost... Getting a pro card,

32:38

it's kind of like having a PhD. People

32:40

suddenly recognize you as, okay, this guy knows

32:42

what he's doing. I'm like, I always knew what I was doing.

32:44

I was just natural. That's why I wasn't as jacked. But

32:47

once you take

32:48

steroids, you get so much bigger. Obviously,

32:50

people are like, wow, he looks like he knows what he's doing. And

32:52

so I got more and more people to hire

32:55

me. And then eventually I'm like, I need to

32:57

expand out of Halifax because locally, there's

32:59

There's only so many people you can coach. I

33:01

started doing educational videos on nutrition,

33:04

on anything in general. And because

33:07

I had a teaching background for 11 years, I

33:09

was able to explain things in a way that I felt

33:11

was, well, at least I hope people think is interesting,

33:14

funny, educational, and so that they

33:16

can get some information from that. And so I kept

33:18

growing as a channel and the more people

33:20

saw me talking about these things, the more they kind

33:23

of liked what I was saying, the more people were calling me up,

33:25

hiring me for coaching, that became

33:27

absolutely amazing. I couldn't believe I was coaching

33:30

a hundred hours a week. I was coaching 60 plus

33:32

clients, charging a fair bit of money

33:34

for two and doing really well. But

33:36

I was like, I can't keep doing this forever. And so I

33:38

then said, well, all these recipes that

33:40

are making me stand out from everyone else, because most

33:42

coaches, it was how much chicken, broccoli and rice

33:45

can eat, or is it asparagus or is it fish?

33:47

And I was like,

33:48

no, I eat freaking French toast and I

33:50

eat freaking lasagna. I eat all this amazing

33:52

food all the time. They're like, what? And so everyone

33:55

I coach was like, this is my diet. And they're like,

33:57

I can't believe you're eating that. So it kept

33:59

spreading more.

34:00

people got that, made a cookbook,

34:02

started selling that. One day I sold 100, or how was

34:04

it? 1,004 copies

34:06

in one day, $100 a copy. I was

34:09

like, this is ridiculous. And so I

34:12

was like, I don't need to coach as many people. So I kept

34:14

making more of these books. I've now

34:16

transitioned into supplements. So I do a little

34:19

bit of the coaching, you know,

34:21

supplements, cookbooks, I've written training books,

34:24

a diet book. And so I've just been

34:26

active. I've been working really hard for the last several years

34:28

and I'm trying to work less

34:30

now because I file like I did the grind

34:32

and now I can kind of like Work a normal amount

34:34

of hours, but yeah, that's what led me to this point

34:37

Was was that like your first big internet check

34:39

like everyone remembers that first big internet check Was it selling

34:41

those first 1000 copies of your book and you made like 10k

34:43

in a day and you're like, holy crap It was a hundred

34:45

thousand and that was like ridiculous.

34:48

I was making a lot before that. No,

34:50

it wasn't my first I was making like maybe

34:53

three quarters of a million at the time But then I had the

34:55

bull guys just went ridiculous and I was like

34:57

I can't like at that point like the dopamine

34:59

rush was So like I've never been that high in my

35:01

life like I'm driving around like

35:04

like I can't believe what's happening Like how

35:06

is this possible? I was just so

35:09

excited and so happy. I've never been that

35:11

pumped in my life And so I just kept it

35:14

Sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off finish and

35:16

then I'll ask you the second part I've never felt

35:18

that excited in my life. And so, you know since

35:20

then the YouTube game it's been fun

35:22

for me I love making videos. I love making

35:25

content. I love the drama. I love all

35:27

of it I like the haters the comments that the

35:29

haters are what actually helps me the most if

35:31

I didn't have people Shitting on me like that

35:34

cookbook went viral because people are like how

35:36

dare you sell a book for that much money? Everyone's

35:40

making these videos and then I promoted this

35:42

one channel the iron musket who he

35:44

basically just said I

35:45

made this I ate from this book and

35:47

here's the recipes and it worked and I just

35:49

did a video about them And I'm like, wow,

35:51

this guy that doesn't know me like the book. And then everyone

35:54

started eating from my book, all

35:56

these famous guys, I did videos

35:58

about everyone. And

36:00

it kind of became like a meme, a viral

36:02

thing. And it took off and so the entire world started

36:04

eating from my book. It became like this huge

36:06

big seller for me. And that was like amazing.

36:09

So I did the version two version 3.0

36:12

is coming out next month. And so the books

36:14

have been amazing and I've transitioned. Why

36:16

don't I keep doing that to the supplements over here.

36:19

And so, so much going on. And because I

36:21

have like a large, I get about 20 million

36:24

views per month. Because of that, I, I,

36:26

I have a lot of people that are watching my videos and

36:28

you know, I talk about something

36:30

like this, you know, and

36:32

it works. That's that's it's

36:34

free advertisement.

36:36

Yeah. So at so at this

36:38

point, so you know, you obviously hit rock bottom when

36:40

you're arrested by the customs authorities

36:42

out there in Canada. They raid your house. You

36:44

lose everything. How long did it take you to build

36:47

yourself back up to the point where you're making, you

36:49

know, three quarters of a million dollars, you

36:51

know,

36:52

within a few weeks? I

36:54

mean, that time in my life was like

36:57

I went through a lot of counseling because I mean, I'm

37:00

rock bottom. Like I'm talking like almost every friend

37:02

ever had wouldn't talk to me. Everyone's scared of

37:04

me. They're accusing me. It was a nightmare

37:06

situation. I mean, I'm on a house or a sitting at home. So

37:09

that was a hard time to go through. But

37:11

I just said, I'm not going to give up. I got to keep doing

37:13

this. I was still a professional bodybuilder. So I was allowed

37:15

out of the house to go to the gym and train. So I kept

37:17

going at it. And so I would say

37:19

it took until like 2000 and probably 19

37:22

before I started making

37:24

decent money again. So I was not

37:26

doing very well. Like I would make, I don't know, like

37:28

like 50,000 a year coaching or whatever, like just

37:30

a normal

37:31

like income. And I

37:34

eventually bought a house with my girlfriend

37:36

and she owns pet value. So we

37:38

kind of bought the house together. Like I didn't have

37:40

the credit, but together we could. We

37:42

bought a house. And then by the time I moved

37:45

in the house, I was doing so well on YouTube. I'm like, we

37:47

need to buy another house. Like it was just like, it

37:50

happened really quick.

37:51

When did you make, so 2012 you get arrested, 2019 things

37:55

start to pick up and take off a little bit. When did you make the

37:57

YouTube channel?

37:58

So

38:00

I was posting videos just basically

38:02

trying to show off, look how strong I am. I can bench

38:04

press this and this. And it wasn't like I didn't

38:06

know what a follower or a sub was or any

38:08

of that stuff. And then in 2012,

38:11

I was putting more and more content. It

38:13

kept going. And then I

38:15

would stop for a while and start back. I'd

38:17

be like, oh, it's not doing that well. I wasn't getting the views.

38:19

And then I look back and I'm like, wait a minute. This

38:21

video on Anabar has 600,000 views. I

38:23

think I'm going to do

38:25

more videos on

38:26

Anabolic. So I do this is the pros

38:28

and cons of D-ball. list of pros and cons of testosterone

38:31

or trend. So I was doing videos on all the different

38:33

supplements, anabolic supplements, everything,

38:36

SARMS, all of it. Those are getting tremendous

38:38

views and I literally just took my phone, propped

38:40

it up and just spoke. Before

38:42

that, I was trying to sound smart, trying to sound professional.

38:45

I'm like, I'm just going to rant and talk and

38:47

just say whatever the hell comes to my mind.

38:50

People love those videos. And so that really,

38:52

really, really helped me a lot. People were hiring

38:54

me all the time. I'm just looking, am I saying something?

38:56

Oh, okay. I just thought. Yeah,

38:59

it did more those did the nadir nots

39:02

and at that point I was like, this

39:04

is crazy like it really went

39:06

from nothing to like huge and

39:08

in a matter of months and I think the transparency

39:11

is huge because so many fitness influencers right

39:13

like and you were kind of doing this before a lot of these other guys, you

39:16

know, we're scared to talk about that stuff and

39:18

you know, you were always very transparent about it open about

39:20

it. And I think that's why

39:22

you had the following that you have because so many people kind of

39:24

shy away from it because they don't want to lose sponsorships. They're

39:26

scared of being, you know, looked at as like, You're

39:28

you're using steroids, but in reality when you're

39:31

honest about it people will gain a lot more respect for you Yeah,

39:33

I'm like it was obvious. I mean I mean people

39:35

think I'm on steroids now I mean I'm an HRT, but

39:38

I was like way bigger It was so I'll be like

39:40

am I gonna sit here and be like I'm natural like

39:42

no I'm just gonna be honest. I'm just an open book like I

39:44

don't care I'll tell you whatever you know most people

39:46

are like Greg you should like not talk so much

39:48

about certain things I'm like I don't care I don't

39:50

have any tact to just say what I think

39:52

and so people just like the abrasiveness

39:54

the openness the honesty and And I think

39:56

it really helped my channel. And I'm the same way now.

39:58

I just, I don't do as many. videos

40:00

about steroids and people are like, why don't you do, I'm

40:02

like, I've already covered them all. Like what am I supposed to do the same

40:04

video again? So that's why I've branched

40:06

out into different topics. I like to talk about what's trending

40:09

things on the internet, different people, and people

40:11

like the videos. I do pretty much two

40:14

videos a day. I've been doing that for like three years straight

40:16

now. And, uh, I think that the more

40:18

videos you post, the more chance people are going to

40:20

see what you're doing and more plants are going to follow you.

40:23

And don't worry guys, we're going to get into the spicy stuff here

40:25

a little bit, but I want you guys to really get to know this individual

40:28

right here, because I'm excited for this interview. So, your

40:30

cookbook did really well. You were selling it for about 100 bucks. We

40:32

were hanging on you because you're selling it for 100 bucks. Tell

40:35

us about the book game, man. What's it like? Because

40:37

I just released my own book about a month and a half ago

40:39

or so, and you know, it did pretty well. But the

40:42

book game is a whole other thing, man.

40:44

Can you tell us about writing it,

40:46

putting it out? I don't know. You independently published

40:49

it, I'm assuming, right? Or did you go to a publisher?

40:51

How did you go about making the book? And what

40:53

sparked

40:53

you to make a cookbook? Well,

40:55

I couldn't do the coaching.

40:57

And I was actually very nervous

41:00

to do this book because I thought, well, no one's going to hire me for

41:02

coaching. But it's like, I was getting

41:04

so popular on YouTube and I was reading comments

41:06

like, can I buy those recipes?

41:08

And I literally was selling, like, I don't even want to admit

41:11

this, but $500 people were paying for

41:13

just the recipes before the book was out. And

41:15

I was like, I was charging a lot

41:17

for coaching, like a lot, like thousands. So to

41:20

me, I was like, I don't want people to know my recipes.

41:22

That's how I'm making money. That's That's what I'm known for, but

41:24

I was like, I can't keep coaching this much.

41:26

And so why not have something and ebook

41:29

and you just send it to them. And

41:32

that's the way to do it. Now, since then I've made

41:34

like the hard copies and stuff, but at first

41:36

it was just an ebook.

41:38

So what would

41:40

you say, how'd you advertise your book and like

41:42

get it out there? Like, how'd you, I did

41:45

everything online, like every, like literally I'm

41:47

doing video after video, if this is how I eat, this

41:49

is a recipe. I'm showing you recipes

41:51

from my book like my favorites and they're like Greg

41:53

man, make a cookbook and I'm like All

41:56

right, you want the book, I'll make

41:58

the book, but I wasn't gonna sell it.

42:00

I had

42:02

a team of people working with me at the time, they're like, yeah, it

42:04

should be I'm like, $29. It's

42:06

going to be $200. What do you mean? I'm

42:08

selling it for $500 now. Like, just

42:10

like a, what do you call it? I'm not even technical,

42:13

but a copy on the internet, PDF or

42:15

whatever. I'm like, here it is, the recipes. And

42:17

I'm like,

42:18

it's got to be $200. And then the whole

42:20

pandemic hit and then like

42:23

people are out of work. I'm like, well, I guess I can't charge. I'll charge

42:25

half price. So it's $99. And everyone's shitting on

42:27

me like, oh my God, I imagine what they said at $200. So

42:32

just saying like it was available

42:34

on a video was like all

42:36

I needed to do. I mean, and since then I've got

42:38

it in Mandarin. It's being sold in China.

42:41

I collabed with Al Dura. We

42:43

have an Arabic cookbook for Egypt.

42:45

Like I've made various like so different languages

42:48

trying to capitalize on other audiences,

42:50

other

42:50

people, other spoken languages. And so, you

42:53

know, I'm just continuing on right now. It's

42:55

really good books. It's so well.

42:57

Yeah, it's really important to diversify in other languages.

43:00

I'm about to get my book in Spanish as well So,

43:02

you know, I see yeah, see great minds think alike

43:04

man. Would you so and your book is

43:06

big It's like 700 pages. How many recipes you got

43:09

nothing? Oh god, it's not even near that. But yeah

43:11

getting back to the Way

43:14

pages There's about 200

43:16

pages in these books, but it was when

43:18

I was coaching mr. Beast He had mentioned like you

43:21

need to start putting books in different

43:23

languages And he's like even your videos on YouTube like

43:25

if you want to get big and this advice anyone is here on YouTube

43:27

if you get Big enough if you really want to get big you

43:29

have to Get into other languages because

43:32

how many people speak English and so the more

43:34

languages you can get to So my

43:36

my videos are in on Billy Billy in China,

43:38

China is a big country Like there's a lot

43:40

of people and so you make videos in there So getting

43:43

millions of views there translate to Mandarin

43:46

and you can get a whole new audience

43:48

And so you said you coach mr.

43:50

Beast tell us about that

43:51

Yeah, basically just

43:54

he had featured me on a video

43:56

where I did the Guinness Book of World record for the

43:58

deadlift and he was like just

44:00

freaky things that happened in this year and all of a sudden

44:02

I'm watching this video because there's obviously a sub and

44:04

I'm like, oh, there's me on the Mr. Beast channel. So I

44:06

wrote him like, hey, thank you for having me on the, you

44:09

know, on your, featuring me on your channel or whatever.

44:11

And I'm like, you know, if you ever want to coach for dieting,

44:13

I like, I, I'm an expert on this stuff. And he's

44:15

like, oh really? And he's like, can I give you a call right

44:17

now? I'm like, yeah. And so I'm talking to the phone. I'm like,

44:19

okay, so I'm going to help you do that. So he

44:21

started at 40% body fat. He's down to 25% body fat. He

44:25

has his own coach living at his house inside.

44:27

He's doing a bodybuilding competition Against

44:30

a guy in like maybe

44:32

nine or ten months. I'm like hey if you want me to help

44:34

you again I'll do it like but uh you

44:36

know he's he's guiding he wants to get to single-digit

44:38

body fat He's 25% now and so there you have it

44:43

And that's awesome in all right so I hit some of these

44:45

chats real quick And guys don't

44:47

forget to like the video subscribe to the channel also check out

44:49

Greg de Cessi YouTube channels Well, I linked it below and his

44:51

supplements I put his Instagram YouTube

44:53

and a supplement website there. So we'll run

44:55

through these real quick Yeah, so in this point forward, I'm

44:57

gonna read only 20 and up but I'll read these because they came in

45:00

before camp two times Says one court Indians 11

45:02

3 current I would Corinthians,

45:05

okay, I But

45:07

I would have you know that the head of every man

45:09

is Christ and head of the woman is the

45:11

man and head of Christ is God

45:13

Well

45:13

said cool Time

45:15

says I know he read that

45:18

again again. Is it another one? This is

45:20

my head. I know only five foot six 11 9 King

45:25

James Virgin says for the man is not of the woman

45:27

but the woman is of the man Neither was the man created

45:30

for the woman for

45:30

the one for the man. Okay, all

45:33

right silent Silent

45:35

cow says hey Greg. Would you recommend TRT for a healthy

45:37

and active 30 year old man? Who just wants to feel

45:39

like they are 16 again? No

45:40

No, you're too young. I

45:43

recommend TRT for people that need TRT, not

45:45

just for people that want to feel 16. Your testosterone

45:47

level's at 30. They're almost the same as 16. There's

45:50

no real difference there. Bam.

45:51

Nice. He better my

45:53

friend and sleep more. I don't think people... Greg, can you talk

45:55

a little bit about the importance of sleep, man? I've always said that sleep

45:58

is like the most and a pod that you can.

46:00

naturally and people don't tend to believe me when I

46:02

say this. They look at me like, oh, bro, I don't need sleep. Can you

46:04

talk about your- You're bang on. Sleep is

46:06

one of the most overrated things that people don't consider

46:08

when they're doing any kind of diet training or anything. Everyone

46:11

needs to sleep. If you don't get sleep, everything's downhill

46:13

from there. Like cortisol's up. It's going

46:15

to be that much harder. You're going to be that much hungrier. You're

46:17

not recovered. You're over-trained. And the worst

46:20

part about dieting is you can't

46:22

sleep. When you get leaner, the body

46:24

basically it keeps you awake because

46:26

it wants you to be a hunter, be a hunter-gatherer,

46:28

go out Like, go and

46:30

kill a deer. Go eat some blueberries. Like, get

46:32

up. Just don't lay there and sleep. So the leaner

46:34

you get, the more difficult the time it gets to

46:36

sleep. When I was natural, I slept three

46:38

to five hours a night on average, and

46:40

it was a nightmare. Like low

46:43

sex drive. I remember one time I didn't have

46:45

an orgasm for maybe two or three months.

46:47

Natural. Like, I couldn't. Like,

46:49

when I'm natural, not on gear, nothing. Had, like you, I

46:51

could have had 14 porn stars in front of me,

46:53

would have made no, I just not care.

46:56

That's the, that's the dangers of dieting that hard.

46:58

And even on PDs, you're on all the tests

47:01

in the world. When you're shredded, especially when

47:03

you're on trend, you can't sleep. So you have transomnia, you

47:05

can't recover. You're always feeling like shit.

47:07

You have no sex drive because you have no energy. I

47:10

don't care how much tests you're on. Tests will make you more

47:12

horny, but not if you have no food. And

47:14

so you need sleep. I've

47:17

said it in videos, people don't believe me. If I had to choose between

47:19

a fat burner and a sleeping pill

47:21

on a diet, sleeping pill, every single

47:23

freaking time. Facts. Facts.

47:26

There you go, guys. just buy us when I say y'all need

47:28

to sleep more. Okay, we got Alex

47:30

here. I'd love to give Greg a huge shout out for

47:32

his diet info slash cookbook started 200 down to 175

47:34

lean maintainable

47:36

from his help subbed for several years.

47:38

Shout out to Alex. There you go. Happy book

47:40

buyer right there. Alex 10 bucks says I'd like to also

47:42

thank you Myron and fresh for all the endless information

47:45

provide 580 to 710 credit score in

47:47

a couple months making 100k soon to buy the first property.

47:49

Well done, gents. North Dakota shout out to you my friend

47:51

bro. Yeah, this is a collab you out there to see coming but you guys

47:53

needed Bitcoin Bennett says, Greg, have

47:55

you seen the viral video that Tate posted that he when

47:58

he came out of jail? How does he look like?

48:00

the Hulk after being in jail for three months. I

48:02

haven't seen it, but I've heard that he's come out. People

48:05

requested to say, you got to do a video on his body

48:08

out of jail physique. I'm like, I'm just

48:10

too busy, so I haven't been on it yet. I

48:13

think it's just push-up, right? He's been doing

48:15

a lot of training in the gym. Literally,

48:17

you only need 30% of the work

48:19

that you did to get something to keep that. It's

48:21

not like the guy's training three hours a day

48:23

like an animal on gear.

48:26

Why couldn't he go away and keep the same muscle

48:29

he has? It's not like he had a ton to lose

48:31

in the first place. Yes, that's 100% true. There

48:33

was a study that came out about that where if you build

48:35

up a physique to a certain point, you can maintain

48:37

it with only about 30% of the volume with like

48:39

pushups and calisthenics fairly well too. Yeah,

48:42

absolutely. Just look at the pandemic. The gyms

48:44

were closed. Did everyone lose all their gains? I

48:46

didn't. Yeah, yeah.

48:47

And if your protein's high and you

48:50

do calisthenics to a degree and work to some

48:52

level of close, somewhat not even close to

48:54

failure, you can maintain. Michael

48:57

Meestroke says, $1 Super sticker. that

48:59

and then too near me not

49:02

to hear me goes Greg what are your

49:04

thoughts on natural herbs for boosting testosterone such

49:06

as Tongkat Ali, Ashwagandha

49:08

and Shillajit.

49:11

Okay

49:13

so Tongkat Ali, Ali's favorite that's an

49:16

amazing one. On Andrew Huberman's podcast they

49:18

spoke of Tongkat Ali and Phidosia aggressive increasing

49:20

test levels 100 to 200 nanograms per deciliter

49:23

each. Ashwagandha also shown to

49:25

improve test levels and so these are the big three

49:27

like Ashwagandha, Tong-Kadali and

49:30

Fidosia Grestis, Shileshit,

49:32

Jit, whatever, I can't pronounce it. I really

49:34

don't know much about that one. I can't comment, but certainly

49:37

those are great for boosting testosterone

49:39

levels. I see no negatives

49:41

like side effects or anything bad about that. I'd

49:43

highly recommend it. Bam.

49:44

Nice. Chippo Saria goes, Coach Greg,

49:47

great to see your collaboration with Fresh Refit. How did you come

49:49

up with the harder than last timeline? I

49:52

was literally just screaming like in a video

49:55

and saying like people a video on like how how hard you should

49:57

train. I'm like, harder than last time. Like, how

49:59

hard?

50:00

than last time and it just kind of just I didn't

50:02

think of it. I was just screaming in front of the camera

50:04

and was like, you just need to train harder.

50:06

I don't know how hard I can't quantify it. I'm not like

50:09

reps in reserve. I'm not Mike Isbertel. I'm not

50:11

going to be like train 1% off of

50:13

this. I was like, I'll just like go to the freaking

50:15

gym and push hard, train harder than last time.

50:18

Harder than last time.

50:20

It's just simple.

50:21

And I want to ask you about this, Greg, because this is something actually

50:23

that I noticed a lot of the times when I go to the gym and I watch,

50:26

you know, if I look at someone else training or whatever, I noticed

50:28

that people just don't go that hard. They don't try that

50:30

hard. They're not sweating. They're not pushing sets

50:32

close to failure. They're kind of just like chilling.

50:35

Can you talk about the importance of high training

50:37

intensity to actually build a good physique?

50:40

Absolutely. So beginners, that's

50:43

okay. You don't need to train hard because anything

50:45

more than you're doing is going to cause your muscles

50:47

to grow. It's about progressive overload. But

50:49

if you've been training for a year or two and you're not training near

50:51

failure,

50:51

then how are you expecting to grow? And

50:54

so if you look in the gym, and this is my general

50:56

rule. If you're going to the gym and you see more

50:58

than one person in the gym training harder than you, you're

51:00

not training hard enough. Unless you're a beginner,

51:02

unless you just started, then you can just kind of like

51:04

go through the motions you're going to gain. So

51:06

when I go to the gym, even on a bad day, a day

51:08

I walk out, I'm like, man, I didn't push myself. I

51:11

didn't have it in me mentally. I'm still training harder than almost everyone

51:13

in the gym. So that's my main

51:15

thing. I'm like most people they're worried

51:17

about reps in reserve, reps between sets,

51:20

sets, form, technique, all this stuff. Like

51:22

if you just go to the gym and train harder than

51:24

last time, you're going to get way more more gains than

51:26

the perfect diet, the perfect training program, the perfect

51:28

everything. Just go and freaking push

51:31

and you're going

51:31

to get the results. Yeah. I

51:33

always say consistency and effort over time overrides

51:36

optimality. So absolutely.

51:38

So yeah, absolutely. Okay. We

51:40

got here Uno goes, are

51:42

I Argentine or yeah,

51:45

Argentine supplements a good choice to increase tests.

51:48

I also heard it has other health benefits, including reducing

51:50

cholesterol

51:51

to increase test. No.

51:54

I mean, it's like even test boosters of old. the best test booster

51:56

from five, 10 years ago, almost like

51:59

essentially useless.

52:00

It's only the newest stuff that's working. And so no,

52:02

it's not going to make a big difference. Not at all.

52:04

Uh, fit. John, John, fit. John, John says

52:06

natty for life. Okay. Uh, Michoka

52:08

goes or Mitch Chaka. What's

52:11

your opinion on pre-workouts? I use them

52:13

every time I work out or do a bike ride.

52:16

Is caffeine black coffee,

52:18

a good,

52:19

I want to say replacement for pre-workout.

52:22

Absolutely. Caffeine is probably the most studied,

52:24

uh, performance enhancing drug.

52:26

It was a drug. It was banned in the Olympics. You could

52:28

fail for if you had too much caffeine

52:30

in your system. They made it legal after around 20

52:33

years ago I know one person that failed a

52:35

drug test for caffeine and they just said

52:37

whatever it's caffeine But yeah, you couldn't take

52:39

it but between one and three milligrams

52:41

per kilogram of body weight That's shown where you

52:43

should should be one to start and

52:45

then up to about three So I'm about close to 90 kilos.

52:49

So 270 milligrams. It's a good dose of caffeine for

52:51

me Significant improvements in cardiovascular

52:53

ability effort strength all that it's a

52:55

no-brainer

52:57

Everyone I think is, well, not everyone's

52:59

on caffeine, but almost everyone. I mean,

53:01

it's a great supplement for sure. Okay.

53:03

Marley, when you stopped TRT

53:05

and your erection and libido drop off, does

53:07

it come back eventually? Or am I

53:09

stuck on TRT for the rest of my life to maintain

53:12

a healthy sex life? Damn. Once

53:14

you're on TRT, it's supposed to be for the rest of your life. Now, mind you, if

53:17

you stop. So for example, I'm

53:19

on TRT, 140 milligrams, and I did stop for a period of nine weeks. My

53:22

sports doctor said, let's try this and see what happens.

53:24

My testosterone levels were below

53:27

that of a female, like an average female, and

53:29

I still was able to have sex, but I only

53:31

wanted it like once a week.

53:33

But the problem is, it takes a lot of time

53:35

for your body to get back to normal. It can take months

53:37

and or years, and so you have to be willing

53:39

to wait that time period, which could be, let's

53:41

say it's a year. And so are

53:43

most people going to be willing to wait a year before they can

53:46

feel good again? And so it's tough.

53:48

You can get it back to normal, but not everyone.

53:51

So my advice, once you start TRT,

53:53

it is for the rest of your life, but you can

53:55

get up, but you got to be willing to have that suffering

53:58

between the time that you stop. Taking it and when

54:00

your body gets back to normal, oftentimes could

54:02

be a year or more.

54:04

Bam. Damn, so what if you have a girlfriend

54:06

or wife? They're screwed for here. Two.

54:09

And it's a good thing because she doesn't want it.

54:11

And she's like, thank God you're off of that stuff. And

54:14

by the way, guys, what we're gonna do is we're gonna kill the Facebook stream,

54:16

Twitch, and Twitter. So come on over to YouTube, guys. Come

54:19

on over to YouTube, YouTube Fresh To Fit. And

54:21

then also, guys, go subscribe

54:23

to Greg Dusett's YouTube channel as well. Link

54:25

is below. Check him out. Okay,

54:28

so we'll continue back on with the chats. We got here

54:30

Gustavo Muratala says, hey, FreshFit,

54:32

y'all know what's the difference between

54:34

creatine, HCL, and creatine monohydrate, pros

54:36

and cons for both? There's no benefit

54:38

to any kind of creatine. Creatine monohydrate's

54:40

cheaper in general. There's no benefit

54:42

to any other kind. Get the one you want, the cheaper,

54:44

the better. There's absolutely

54:47

no benefit to switching to a different kind.

54:49

Yeah, monohydrate's the cheapest. So Fit

54:52

John John, Greg, will you bring back you rating

54:54

your subscriber physique?

54:55

Absolutely. I've not done that. I just don't want

54:57

to do it all the time. I don't want to make it too old.

54:59

Bam. We got here, Lord

55:02

says, what are your thoughts on 25 year old taking TRT?

55:05

What the fuck? If they need it, absolutely. I've

55:07

literally coached people on TRT and younger

55:09

than that. Some people are just born with a genetic condition.

55:11

They don't produce proper levels of testosterone. I've seen

55:13

it a number of times. Oftentimes though, it's usually

55:15

people who are anorexic and they might

55:18

not even know they're anorexic. You just think they're a skinny

55:20

guy, but they're like starving and secret because males don't

55:22

kind of admit that kind of a thing. It's more seen as something

55:24

women do, but oftentimes I've coached

55:27

several and I've done phone consults, guys who

55:29

are like 100, 120 pounds and they're

55:31

shredded at six pack, but they're not eating anything. They're

55:33

eating like a thousand calories a day. Their testosterone

55:36

levels are tanked and they can't get it back and have

55:38

to go on an HRT.

55:40

Damn. Okay. Greg, how important

55:42

is it to get your T levels checked as

55:44

a guy?

55:45

I wouldn't say it's extremely important. Maybe 3%

55:48

of guys is probably going to be too low as a young

55:50

age, but the beauty of, if you do

55:52

get it done is you have that baseline because It's

55:55

normal, like essentially people want to be

55:57

somewhere between like 250 and maybe A thousand

55:59

nanograms are dead.

56:00

leader and just because you're low it doesn't mean

56:02

it's bad. Like if you come up with 400 but you've always

56:04

been 400, well there's nothing wrong with that if you feel good.

56:07

But on the other extent, if you were 800 your whole life and

56:09

now it's 400, you could feel horrible. But

56:12

the guy is 400 and he's at 400 still,

56:14

he feels amazing. And so that's the beauty

56:16

of having your test levels checked. I mean you don't need

56:18

to but generally, like if you don't feel

56:21

good and there's something off then get a check. But like

56:23

I wouldn't say every 20 year old needs to go to their doctor

56:25

and say, I need my test levels checked because why?

56:29

really need, I'd rather see them check their blood

56:31

pressure. That's a much bigger indicator of a problem.

56:33

Like high blood pressure at a young age, you'd

56:35

lead to heart attacks and strokes and so on.

56:37

I mean, if

56:38

we're going to get one thing tested, it's your

56:40

blood pressure.

56:41

Okay. Yeah. All right. And

56:43

then we got here, a big player

56:45

JD goes, I was 320 pounds age of 32.

56:48

I did two hours cardio two times a day, did 1000 abs

56:51

and full body workouts. Seven months later at 33 years

56:53

old, I'm 190 pounds. Thank you guys. Amen. That's

56:55

what it's about. My friend. Awesome. Awesome. It

56:57

reminds me of Ethan Supuis. He was riding six

56:59

hours a day on a bicycle for like eight months. He went

57:02

from like 500 or something pounds to like 250.

57:04

Oh, nice. Bam. Starting

57:06

a job wild and wildland

57:08

firefighting. It's pretty strenuous work. They recommend a

57:10

low protein diet due to organ stress.

57:13

Would your peri light help me not lose too

57:16

much muscle or should I not worry about losing muscle?

57:18

Well, a low protein diet, I wouldn't

57:21

do that at all. I think that's ridiculous. I mean,

57:23

at least consume a half a gram per protein,

57:25

a pound of body weight. I mean, one gram may be optimal, 0.8,

57:28

anywhere on that. But I wouldn't try to avoid

57:30

protein. But would perilite help? Absolutely.

57:33

There's eight grams of protein per serving. So if you're

57:35

not having enough protein and you're taking perilite, it

57:37

has eight grams of essential

57:39

amino acids and DCAs. And so it would

57:41

help you not lose muscle, same as protein

57:43

powder. But if they're saying don't take protein

57:46

and you're taking perilite, you're getting protein.

57:48

So you'd be kind of going against the purpose.

57:50

Yeah, man. You guys, I don't think you understand. Protein

57:53

is imperative if your goal is to build an aesthetic physique,

57:55

man. Well, one gram per pound of body weight is what people generally

57:58

say you can go, you know, one gram.

58:00

upon a lean body mass but you definitely need adequate

58:02

protein to maintain a muscular physique odd

58:04

your own he says was that are didn't whether know

58:07

ah yeah more work these are came in after

58:09

factor what they

58:11

were before there before okay the great

58:13

i'm ask this question that we're going to get back into

58:16

the pot ah how's the here transit

58:18

been treating you hashtag cookbook

58:22

58:22

58:24

58:29

blocks the it on like

58:31

i don't know i think it looks i can

58:33

be better maybe but like it's not horrible

58:35

hard you do years did you go to turkey and do it and he

58:38

did you do it were thought what i had

58:40

a transplant from to here lately just

58:42

unplug stuff and plugin back and had

58:45

put

58:45

here and in the front and

58:47

idol

58:47

i did they say your us what to do cardio

58:50

for a month i'm like are you kidding i

58:52

took like two days off and i was freaking bike racing

58:54

after that i'm not taking time off and

58:57

woman i

58:57

didn't listen to what they said adding it looked pretty

59:00

good you know i'm so because i did

59:02

it hurts was a transplant is why did it here in the states

59:04

i don't want to go the way to turkey that they are

59:06

cut your head or did they just pluck your pin on how was like

59:08

one of my friends that that of my goal i got a scar

59:10

on a whole take the skin know they just i don't know what it's

59:12

called a flock out here and it wrong again

59:15

and only way because like onset my girlfriend

59:17

had chronic disease you asked thirty percent her

59:19

hair she had like a have to feed or bottles

59:21

rule like serious like she was one hundred pounds

59:24

he's eight hundred fifty now almost or so

59:26

generally you know she couldn't absorb food

59:28

and so a lot of her hair fellow and so we

59:30

we wanted

59:30

to go there to help her my yeah i'll go without

59:33

it i just got rejected because her hair wasn't

59:36

strong

59:36

enough per se and i'm like well we're

59:38

here going to do it cited really care about

59:40

my hair that much i wasn't like i had no hair

59:42

and bows i got it all these well

59:44

what the hell do with yeah because we're both gonna

59:46

go bald and

59:47

sizing up and ball my girlfriend whatever

59:50

a be really great care so much about his hair

59:52

like i don't care if you look at my videos

59:54

that you see my hair i look like kramer

59:57

as i can tell her

59:59

how long

1:00:00

How long ago did you do your transplant?

1:00:02

It was a year and a couple

1:00:04

months ago, like December of like a year

1:00:07

or so, whatever. I don't know, a year and a half ago. A year

1:00:09

is when you're fully recovered.

1:00:11

So, I mean, it looks good, bro. Looks fantastic. I

1:00:14

mean, you both look good. No homo. Yeah. I mean,

1:00:16

for me, I'm still not done. I still got some. For

1:00:18

being 47, I'm like, I don't know, it's not too bad. For busing

1:00:20

steroids for 10 years, my hair was doing

1:00:23

pretty good. I would have to say. Yeah.

1:00:27

Oh, man. All right. What else we got here about? Okay,

1:00:29

Christopher

1:00:30

Peterson goes been working out religiously for the last

1:00:32

four months Myron's fault how many

1:00:34

times should I work out each major

1:00:36

muscle group each week to

1:00:38

for sure? Agreed. Okay.

1:00:40

We're frequency is definitely your friend

1:00:42

in that case. I've been time fitness. Can I skip like there?

1:00:45

It depends are you

1:00:47

racing bikes if you're racing bikes

1:00:49

like me you can skip leg day everywhere I'm sprinting on

1:00:51

my bike getting up up the saddle every day

1:00:53

is leg day for me if I'm not in the gym I'm racing

1:00:56

on my bike. My legs are always

1:00:58

gone. Like it's tough.

1:01:00

I'm just running from the holes, bro Ask

1:01:03

Greg a full clobbering me a bro. You got to

1:01:05

hit him up on the side. Okay

1:01:07

And then dad does 20 bucks nearly killed myself over

1:01:09

a year ago got out of my head So

1:01:12

I'm watching FNF coach Greg and others lost

1:01:14

over 100 pounds more to go keep it up guys. Love

1:01:16

your content Thank you so much. So Greg

1:01:18

transitioning real quick

1:01:22

So

1:01:22

man you both have made Pretty

1:01:24

much the tick-tock Hall of Fame

1:01:27

of getting kicked off. Can you tell

1:01:29

us about getting canceled on tick-tock? Multiple

1:01:32

times cancelled and so my tick-tock

1:01:34

channel doing really well. I don't know how many followers had

1:01:36

a hundred and something thousand I didn't even post it.

1:01:38

I have people I'm like take the videos I'm

1:01:40

putting here and post them here So I'm like it

1:01:43

was like a no-brainer. I'm like, you know expand

1:01:46

I'd so I do this one video on this guy

1:01:48

who's being made fun of for this girl for

1:01:50

talking to her at the gas station Basically he

1:01:53

walks up to her and is like, hey, you're attractive. Can

1:01:55

I have your phone number? Whatever and she gets out

1:01:57

of that scene She's like

1:01:59

imagine this guy has the nerve to come and talk

1:02:01

to me at the gas station. I'm too busy. I

1:02:03

don't want to get hit on. I got this." And I'm like,

1:02:05

who do you think you are just because you're young and you're 20,

1:02:08

beautiful girl and blonde. And

1:02:10

the people hated that video so much. I had 58,000

1:02:14

not likes or views, negative

1:02:16

comments, 58,000 like, and

1:02:18

I'm reading like, you're the biggest asshole

1:02:20

predator in the world. I'm like, I'm just defending a

1:02:23

guy talking to a girl at gas station. When

1:02:25

my girlfriend fills up the Lambo at the gas

1:02:27

station, people like, wow, nice

1:02:30

car. Oh my goodness. There might feel like,

1:02:32

do

1:02:32

you think she's like, you creepo and make, come

1:02:34

home, make a video saying, how dare you talk

1:02:36

to me? Don't you know? I'm a girl. Like what?

1:02:39

Like I just don't understand it. I'm like, when

1:02:41

I was, I mean, I'm a little 47 when I was young, you

1:02:43

could actually approach women and talk to them and say, hi,

1:02:46

I find you attractive. I like your shoes, your shirt,

1:02:48

whatever. Can I have your phone number? Let's go for coffee.

1:02:50

Now you can't talk to anyone.

1:02:52

Why do you think women behave this way,

1:02:55

Greg, where they're being so rude and abrasive

1:02:57

to men that

1:03:00

just might just want to start a conversation? I think

1:03:02

people overvalue themselves. I think they think

1:03:04

they're better than they are. And I think that everyone's looking

1:03:06

for that five or 10 or 15 minutes

1:03:08

of fame, like, oh my God, look at me, this

1:03:10

happened to me. And so they do their little TikTok thing.

1:03:13

And they're like, well, if I make this video and

1:03:15

say this,

1:03:16

whatever, creep, because he's not a nine on 10,

1:03:18

if he's not Chris Bumstead talking to me at the gas

1:03:20

station, then everyone's going to agree with me and make me

1:03:23

feel pretty and good about myself.

1:03:25

So I think people just do it for views, for clicks,

1:03:28

likes, attention. Yeah.

1:03:29

And I want to say this

1:03:31

too. What are your thoughts on all these thotties

1:03:34

in the gym recording themselves, right?

1:03:37

Where they're saying, oh, this guy's staring at me,

1:03:39

blah, blah, blah. He's a creep. Shout to Joey

1:03:41

Swole. He's pointing these hoes in check, man, and letting them know that they're

1:03:43

ridiculous. What are your thoughts on that, man? I mean, to me, that's

1:03:45

equivalent to the gas station. They're making videos

1:03:48

of people approaching them, talking to them. Everyone wants to think

1:03:50

that they're so this or that. If

1:03:52

I'm looking at you, how do you know I'm not just trying to

1:03:54

learn from you? How do you know I'm not just turning

1:03:57

my head over? That makes you think that you're

1:03:59

so special.

1:04:00

It's so interesting that I have to look at you

1:04:02

right now, and I think people just want to be the

1:04:04

victim people play that victim Card it's just

1:04:06

like what was me. I'm a victim cancel

1:04:09

culture. It's horrible. I think it's

1:04:11

ridiculous I can't believe these people are doing

1:04:13

it, but at least with the gyms I

1:04:15

think most women as well are

1:04:17

like yeah, that's that's silly like most

1:04:19

of the women I talked to they're like No, it shouldn't

1:04:21

be like that

1:04:22

Mm-hmm, and I want to say this too cuz my

1:04:25

thing is Ryan I talked about this in my book why women deserve

1:04:27

less I talked about how social media has negatively impacted

1:04:29

women Right and it's made them kind of have an overinflated

1:04:31

sense of self-worth and you know We live in a clout

1:04:34

era You know if it's putting down a guy in the gym or

1:04:36

putting down a guy that Makes an approach at you at the

1:04:38

gas station right to go ahead and make themselves feel better

1:04:41

or try to get views or whatever

1:04:43

And you know you keep referring saying that you're old etc

1:04:46

Was you know 20 years ago

1:04:48

were things like this back when you're

1:04:50

in the 20s Nothing was

1:04:53

like this like it's so different like I'm like

1:04:55

I wonder if every generation feels as bad like

1:04:57

cuz like my parents would have thought it is I'm like, am I

1:04:59

that old that I don't understand the next generation?

1:05:02

Cause it must be that because I personally

1:05:04

don't get it. When I was younger, you would go and talk to

1:05:06

somebody. You would speak in person. You

1:05:08

didn't swipe left or right or up and down

1:05:10

or make a circle. You actually said, hi, my

1:05:12

name is such and such. I think this, we should

1:05:15

go out sometime. Now you can't talk to

1:05:17

people.

1:05:17

Like I used to go and date people at the gym

1:05:19

all the time. I'm like, hi, this is

1:05:22

like, to me, the gym was like the bar

1:05:24

because I was like, these are women with the same

1:05:26

interests in me. They have the physique

1:05:28

that I like they have the same interest. I

1:05:30

would date girls in the gym. That's what I did I hi, you're

1:05:33

working out. You look good. Let's go out.

1:05:35

That was it. It was that simple now

1:05:37

you can't do that I would never know I have a girlfriend

1:05:39

But if I was how could you do that and

1:05:42

I mean at least me I'd be like hey to watch coach

1:05:44

Greg That's me. You want to talk like you would at least

1:05:46

have a chance but like the average person That's

1:05:48

like a five on ten good-looking guy like five

1:05:50

foot six. Oh geez. You have no chance Like what

1:05:52

would you do now? Like I don't know how people do it I

1:05:54

don't know how people date now. Like I don't know how literally

1:05:57

how people do it. Yeah, it's pretty bad man.

1:05:59

average. guy is basically invisible to the average girl.

1:06:02

And I talk about this extensively, how women's

1:06:04

standards have kind of went up thanks to social media and

1:06:06

they have an overinflated sense of self worth. I

1:06:08

mean, the fact that you're even saying like, yeah,

1:06:11

back in the day, I could have been able to go and up to a girl and

1:06:13

talk to her in the gym and strike up and get a date going.

1:06:15

We actually tell guys, don't head on girls at the gym

1:06:17

because well, nowadays they might record

1:06:19

you on TikTok. And then number two, a lot of the

1:06:21

times it's just the L. It's a very

1:06:24

low rate of success unless you're like

1:06:26

an extremely attractive You go

1:06:28

about a certain way, but it's almost like a strategy

1:06:30

if you're going to talk to girls in the gym nowadays 20 years

1:06:32

ago. I said I'm gonna just just do an experiment

1:06:34

I'm gonna go up to 10 girls today And I'm gonna ask

1:06:36

all them for their number and I'm gonna see what percentage ago

1:06:39

I got five so at 5050 half the girls

1:06:41

I want to go out with I could go out with now You know,

1:06:43

I would never dare do that unless I had a camera

1:06:45

and I was like, it's a it's a skit I'm doing that way

1:06:47

I could say I'm just an actor You

1:06:50

know what I mean? It's it's gone crazy.

1:06:52

It's funny said because a lot of pranksters That's where we're talking

1:06:54

to girls. They'll do a prank video. Careful number.

1:06:57

Like, oh, I got it. But it's a prank. Oh, wait, hold on. It's

1:06:59

a prank. Don't get mad at me. But Greg,

1:07:01

I want to see this, Greg. Personally speaking,

1:07:03

if you're a guy, right? Not that tall.

1:07:05

You're pretty short. Let's say five, six to be honest.

1:07:09

How important is this workout in the gym?

1:07:11

I think the better you look, the more in shape

1:07:13

you are, the better your chances. I mean, absolutely.

1:07:16

I mean, we know that women on average, we've asked them

1:07:18

what body fat percentage you like, mostly 10 to 15%. And

1:07:20

so if you're 30% and you get down to 15, your

1:07:23

chances are going up without question.

1:07:26

Now, of course, there's someone for everyone. Not everyone

1:07:28

wants a lean guy 10 to 15, but

1:07:31

more want that than not. And so you're increasing

1:07:33

your odds. But what else could you do? You

1:07:35

could get a job. You could have money. You

1:07:37

could work on your personality. You work on your social

1:07:40

skills. You could be yourself because most

1:07:42

people, they want to pretend they're something they're not

1:07:44

to get or detract the girl. I'm like, how

1:07:46

is that good? Then they're falling in love with somebody that you're

1:07:49

not, and that's going to last what, six months, and then

1:07:51

you're going to be yourself, and then no one's going to like each other. So

1:07:53

So just be yourself, be open,

1:07:55

have confidence and just try. But

1:07:58

the problem is people don't dare

1:08:00

try because they're scared to get shut down. It

1:08:02

used to be the number one fear of man is

1:08:04

rejection. Now it's like the number one fear

1:08:06

is being rejected and then made fun of

1:08:08

on videos with it. Yeah, it's

1:08:10

really bad. Do you think, Greg,

1:08:13

in your opinion, do you think that there's an attack on masculinity

1:08:15

with all this bullshit that's going on?

1:08:17

Absolutely. You can't be a man anymore. There's

1:08:19

no way. You cannot. Well, you can try.

1:08:21

If you're a 10 on 10, you can get away with it. If

1:08:23

you're a Chris Bumstead, you can act a certain way. But

1:08:25

if you're an average guy,

1:08:28

you can't dare. You have to pretend. What

1:08:30

people do is they say what people think that they

1:08:32

want them to say. So they just go and

1:08:34

what the majority, if 51% of

1:08:37

people think a certain way, that's what everyone is

1:08:39

trying to act like. That's what they'll say. Because they're too

1:08:41

scared to get canceled or be in the minority. It's

1:08:43

kind of like when you're a kid and people would make fun

1:08:45

of other people, it's sad, but they're

1:08:47

bullying. People laugh or make fun

1:08:49

of the least attractive

1:08:51

kid or the whatever, the nerd or whatever.

1:08:53

And it's because you don't want to be the one

1:08:55

being made fun of. So you just

1:08:57

go along with the majority. And so that's what's

1:08:59

happening now. People are going along with the majority.

1:09:02

They're scared to be themselves. They're scared to say what they

1:09:04

actually think because their fear of being canceled.

1:09:07

Damn,

1:09:07

that's a good take, bro. Yeah. And the thing

1:09:09

I like about you a lot, Greg, is that, you know, you give commentary,

1:09:12

right, you're a fitness influencer, but you give commentary

1:09:14

on contemporary events as well. And you

1:09:16

talk about other things and you're not afraid to go against the grain.

1:09:18

And I'll be honest with you, a lot of guys in the fitness industry

1:09:20

are pussies. They're scared to say what's on their mind

1:09:22

because they don't want to lose supplement deals, they don't want to

1:09:25

really say,

1:09:26

what's under my, can you speak to that a little bit? What makes you, why

1:09:29

did you say, fucking, I'm gonna say what I want, I don't care what people

1:09:31

think.

1:09:32

I, you say, why do I

1:09:34

not care what people think? Literally, as I was growing

1:09:36

up and becoming like, a teenager

1:09:38

and so on, I was like worried about, what

1:09:40

do people think of me and what do people this and that? And I'm

1:09:43

like, the first time I just started

1:09:45

saying, what if I just stop giving a shit

1:09:47

about what do people think and I just be myself? And

1:09:49

it was, it was liberating. It was

1:09:51

like, wow, I just don't have to care.

1:09:53

Like, so what? They don't like me. I'll find someone else who

1:09:55

does. And so I'm making YouTube videos. I'm

1:09:57

saying everything I want. I'm like, okay.

1:10:00

There's 100,000 people that are gonna hate me,

1:10:02

but there's gonna be 100,000 people that like me. I'll

1:10:04

just focus on the good. You guys can all

1:10:06

shit on me in one ear out the next. You guys

1:10:08

say, no, something nice, I'm gonna take that in. And so

1:10:10

it's so much better because why pretend

1:10:13

and be something you're not and have people

1:10:15

like you when it's not the real you? And that's what

1:10:17

people do. They do it all the time. And there's so many

1:10:20

YouTubers, like people I've collaborated with

1:10:22

for example, and they have one persona

1:10:24

online and it's like this. And then behind

1:10:27

the scenes, oh my God, they're nothing like that.

1:10:29

So to me,

1:10:30

they're just actors. The

1:10:32

easiest way to act is to be yourself. Like

1:10:34

when you make a video, like I might scream and shout

1:10:37

a little bit more, but it's who I am. And so

1:10:39

if you're pretending to be whatever

1:10:41

you're not, you don't believe it, like how is that fun?

1:10:43

How long can you do that for?

1:10:45

Not for very long. And again, that's one

1:10:47

thing I really like about you, man, is because a lot of people in the fitness

1:10:49

industry are very scared. They watch what they say.

1:10:51

And it's kind of annoying, because it's like you don't feel like you're getting

1:10:53

the real person when you watch

1:10:56

their videos. Like they're trying to, you know, identify

1:10:58

in a certain manner so that they don't lose sponsorships, they

1:11:00

don't trigger the wrong people, whatever it may be, they don't say what's

1:11:02

on their mind. Which speaking of which, perfect transition

1:11:05

to this topic.

1:11:06

So you

1:11:08

have a background in powerlifting.

1:11:10

What are your thoughts on what the hell is going on

1:11:12

here with these guys that are entering in as

1:11:14

women and completely demolishing

1:11:16

women in powerlifting events? So it's

1:11:18

absolutely embarrassing. Even the Canadian Center for

1:11:21

Ethics and Sports, they literally think

1:11:23

that there's no advantage to being born a male

1:11:26

over being born a female. They'll quote different studies

1:11:28

and they'll say, no, it's more the training

1:11:31

and their diet and the coaching that has— Wow.

1:11:34

I'm like, are you an idiot? Men on average

1:11:36

are five inches taller than women. They have stronger

1:11:38

bones, larger bones. They have testosterone

1:11:40

levels 10 to 12 times higher than a female. I

1:11:42

don't care if you transition as you're

1:11:44

older and you have lower test levels. You have the advantage of being

1:11:47

born a male for that long. You're a bigger

1:11:49

frame. Of course, you can be

1:11:51

better. Of course, if you identify

1:11:53

as a woman in your men, you're

1:11:56

going to have a huge advantage. It makes it not fair.

1:11:59

The reason there are... female sports in the first

1:12:01

place is because it's not fair to

1:12:03

have them compete against men. Sure, there's one or

1:12:05

two girls out of a thousand that could

1:12:07

do it, but in general, we want more

1:12:09

participation in sports. Like I was a phys-ed teacher,

1:12:12

the more people that play the better. There should be so many

1:12:14

different categories. We have junior, teenage,

1:12:17

open, masters, veteran, seniors,

1:12:19

whatever, all these different categories to

1:12:21

involve and encourage more people to participate. So

1:12:23

why don't we just have the trans category? That's

1:12:26

their own division and

1:12:27

then we're encouraging them. We recognize

1:12:29

the right to say, okay, identify as a woman. Great.

1:12:32

Wear

1:12:32

whatever you want. Dress as a female. I

1:12:34

don't care if people wear panthers and identify as

1:12:36

a child. I don't care, but have your

1:12:38

own category. Like don't make it unfair for

1:12:40

someone else to take their spot away in the Olympics or whatever.

1:12:42

Like that's just wrong.

1:12:44

Yeah. I, you know, Greg for a prime minister,

1:12:46

I agree with you, man, because the thing is, is that, you know,

1:12:48

it's funny cause these leftists and these feminists and these

1:12:50

libs, right? They vote for this type of legislation

1:12:53

to allow these individuals to participate in their sports.

1:12:55

But the people that lose at the end of the day are the women.

1:12:58

Like they're the ones that take the L's. They're the ones that

1:13:00

lose the scholarships. They're the ones that can't compete because I've

1:13:02

said it before. I'll say it again. Women get mad at me on the podcast when

1:13:04

I say this. Men are physically superior to women in

1:13:06

almost every way. More bone, stronger

1:13:08

bone density, more denser muscles, more

1:13:11

lung capacity. We're just stronger than

1:13:13

them, taller than them. Like

1:13:14

you said, on average five inches, like we just beat

1:13:16

them in every regard. So they can't compete, right? So

1:13:19

there's a reason why we got two different leagues. But when you want to go

1:13:21

ahead and combine it, like Yeah, guys are gonna go ahead

1:13:23

and compete in the female sections and absolutely destroy them.

1:13:25

This happened in the NCAA. I

1:13:26

think some guy was ranked like 500th for swimming.

1:13:28

The swimmer. Yeah. Yeah. And it starts

1:13:31

at records as a woman. It's like it's happened in

1:13:33

cycling, weightlifting. Yeah,

1:13:35

it kills them. Like first place, smoking them, dude.

1:13:37

So you take a mediocre male, he identifies

1:13:40

as a woman. Now he destroys these females

1:13:42

and they're the ones that are taken to L's. And I agree with

1:13:44

you. Here's the thing. Even though I laugh at female sports and I

1:13:46

think that it's a big waste of time and no one should watch

1:13:49

it, I still think that it needs a place, right?

1:13:51

because the reason why

1:13:53

I say that is because I think women need sports

1:13:56

because it keeps them away

1:13:56

from doing stupid things. If I do have a daughter

1:13:58

one day, I'm going to... I put her in every sport

1:14:01

keeper preoccupied because I always said I don't hands

1:14:03

do a devil's work and women in sports Right

1:14:05

like high school, etc. Keeps them from doing stupid

1:14:07

hos shit. So not all the time, but most

1:14:09

of the time So to get college until they get scott Yeah, it's

1:14:11

funny. I have the opposite view probably

1:14:13

because I was a phys ed teacher like for females

1:14:16

to play in sports I think that it's the best like

1:14:18

I think it's awesome Sports

1:14:20

better. So should that female or male sport? Of course

1:14:22

they should you know what? I'm like, of course they should

1:14:25

like that's something and we're hundred percent disagreement.

1:14:27

No, no, no I agree that they should be playing sports.

1:14:29

I'm

1:14:30

just saying I laugh at people that watch professional

1:14:32

female sports Well, for example,

1:14:34

you'd rather watch male tennis and then female

1:14:36

tennis or female golf It's like it depends

1:14:39

like on the sport. Sometimes people be like well in

1:14:41

male tennis. They're so powerful on the serves

1:14:43

It's over so quick women in sports. They

1:14:45

rally longer. So some people that argue it's more

1:14:47

interesting So, I don't know. I think it's

1:14:49

great to have both I'm not gonna say that

1:14:52

you should only have one on TV It's like the

1:14:54

audience is dictates what should be shown obviously

1:14:56

male sports overall what much more popular

1:14:59

if it wasn't

1:15:00

then well The NBA the males

1:15:02

will be paid less than the women, but it's not like that It's the

1:15:04

the money the that's being you know

1:15:07

paid is gonna reflect the eyeballs And

1:15:09

so if there's more advertisers on women sports

1:15:11

and they're gonna pay them more

1:15:12

Yeah, I mean there are some sports that people do prefer

1:15:15

to watch women like tennis as example I

1:15:18

know a decent amount of guys watch female

1:15:21

MMA. Yeah,

1:15:21

I watch MMA a

1:15:24

lot. The women's events are quite exciting. They

1:15:26

don't end the fights as quick, so that's the only

1:15:28

negative. That's for real here though, man. We

1:15:30

watch no damn women's sports right now. Yeah, I watch no damn women's

1:15:32

sports. I think women

1:15:35

should definitely be able to play sports, and I think it's good

1:15:37

for them, especially when they're growing up,

1:15:40

especially in those years where bad things

1:15:42

can happen. But yeah, I mean, I laugh

1:15:44

at female sports in general. Hey, we could agree

1:15:46

to disagree, right? But

1:15:50

no, I definitely think they should have the same opportunities.

1:15:51

I think it's ridiculous when you got basically

1:15:54

men coming in and demolishing them. I don't think that's

1:15:56

fair. They need to keep the gender separate.

1:16:00

Yes, I don't know And

1:16:02

then okay, so pilot thing and then

1:16:04

what uh, are there guys competing

1:16:06

and no Do you foresee that there's gonna be guys

1:16:09

competing in? Female bodybuilding

1:16:11

in the future if they keep going with this already been

1:16:13

guy competing in female bodybuilding.

1:16:15

Oh, it's already happened It was about a year

1:16:17

or two ago. I forget the event or the

1:16:20

contest, but I've already seen it happen

1:16:22

And they didn't look that good. What's her name? I

1:16:24

mean, his name. I can't remember. I

1:16:26

can't remember my own name half the time. But ask

1:16:28

me a name. Oh my god. There's no way. Yeah, it's

1:16:31

definitely happened. Absolutely. Damn.

1:16:33

I didn't know. It's really going into that. Wow. How

1:16:36

do

1:16:36

you even judge that? Like, shout out to Zuby. What?

1:16:39

Yeah. I guess. Holy shit. Damn.

1:16:41

We'll hit some of these chats real quick. All right.

1:16:44

OK. So we got here. The X Factor says,

1:16:47

Mad Props to FNF for getting Coach Greg on the show. Coach

1:16:49

Greg, if one wants to get into men's

1:16:51

physique, What steps should one take?

1:16:53

Do I need a coach or mentor or is this something

1:16:56

that I can figure on my own? It's

1:16:58

way easier with a coach because if you don't have a coach You're

1:17:00

not going to know how many calories how fast to

1:17:02

diet or how lean you need to get You're not going to

1:17:04

know how to pose properly obviously you can do it

1:17:06

on your own without one, but oh my goodness It's so

1:17:08

much better with a coach. I'd strongly recommend you get a coach

1:17:11

who's worked with men's physique competitors before

1:17:14

You can

1:17:14

do it on your own, but I wouldn't advise it

1:17:17

Yeah, I mean in curve bro, bro, if Ronnie

1:17:19

Coleman Jay Cutler, you know what I mean? And

1:17:22

all the top Olympia winners all had

1:17:24

coaches What makes you think that you're not gonna need one

1:17:26

like bro having a coach is imperative You're gonna

1:17:29

compete at a higher level. You just need it doing it by yourself

1:17:31

is almost impossible Yeah, dude, and I

1:17:33

argue you need it more as a beginner when

1:17:35

you first start like people like I'll get my wing

1:17:37

in as I'm But as I'm at the mr. Olympia,

1:17:40

I'll need a coach I'm like no you need to learn how to start

1:17:42

and then once you're like really good and

1:17:44

no stuff like I can coach myself Obviously,

1:17:46

but my first show looking back, I didn't know what I

1:17:49

was doing. I was eating pasta.

1:17:51

No protein I didn't know that protein bill muscle.

1:17:53

I'm a kid in high school. So I was eating plain

1:17:56

pasta I'm like, I'll cut

1:17:56

out the hamburg. That's some more calories. and

1:17:59

I was eating muffin. because I thought muffins were healthy.

1:18:01

So seeing the muffins and playing pasta and dieting,

1:18:03

I didn't know what I was doing.

1:18:04

I was like, Well,

1:18:05

let me ask you this, Greg.

1:18:07

Let's say you had a show one year from

1:18:09

now. What would steps would you take right here

1:18:11

right now to prepare for that show? I would start taking

1:18:13

steroids tonight.

1:18:15

Okay. And then 100% that's what I would need.

1:18:23

And then what would you do is after that, would you hire a coach?

1:18:25

Would you, what would be the the prep. I'm talking

1:18:27

about me. I would just start working out and start bike

1:18:30

racing all the time because I literally, I only train three

1:18:32

days a week. I would start training six days a week like

1:18:34

I used to stop bike racing, get on

1:18:36

gear and put on whatever amount of

1:18:38

muscle I can in the, in the year coming up.

1:18:40

Would you, um, so what would your cycle

1:18:43

be?

1:18:43

And then what, how would you train? Would you, you said

1:18:45

six times per week, would you be doing like one body

1:18:47

part per day? Would you be doing push,

1:18:50

pull legs? What would you do? I would do a three day

1:18:52

split for sure. Do it twice a week. I would just,

1:18:54

you know, I would do 10 to 20 sets per

1:18:57

muscle group per week, but in general, just I'd

1:18:59

follow my own plan. And as far as what I would take, I

1:19:02

would basically start on the lowest dose that I could

1:19:04

build muscle on, probably start at like 400 milligrams

1:19:06

of tests. And then over the course of every month, I would

1:19:08

just go higher and higher and higher all the way

1:19:10

up to the year. But that's assuming I want to win,

1:19:13

I don't know, it's for a hundred million dollars and

1:19:15

I need to be at my best. I wouldn't recommend

1:19:17

somebody does a year cycle cycling up,

1:19:19

but if I want to look my best in that much time,

1:19:22

I'm just going to start on a low cycle keep building

1:19:24

up over time.

1:19:25

Fair enough. Okay. So you just

1:19:27

do just TRT, nothing else? No try. I'm

1:19:30

on 140 milligrams of test a week right

1:19:32

now. Like I do 100 milligrams a week. I just got

1:19:34

my blood work back and the doctor was like,

1:19:37

I've never seen blood work this good. Like

1:19:39

it was so good that I was like, man, I should just up my dose. Like my

1:19:41

doctor's prescription says 120 milligrams

1:19:44

every five days, but I only do 100. And

1:19:46

I'm like, I always preach the lowest dose

1:19:48

that makes you happy. So I'm like well,

1:19:50

why should it take the

1:19:51

most I can if I if I don't need it? It's

1:19:54

my test levels are only in the 700s nanograms

1:19:56

or deciliter so I could definitely go higher but I

1:19:59

would add in.

1:20:00

I would do like probably 400 milligrams actually

1:20:02

no I probably do like 200 tests and 200

1:20:04

master owner primo because I'd like to have that leaner

1:20:06

dry look less estrogen conversion and

1:20:08

I would slowly go from there, but

1:20:10

the one drug I miss the most is an

1:20:12

over I've been taking an over for whatever

1:20:14

years It's an oral. It's just the pumps.

1:20:16

I used to get on it I love that and so like the

1:20:19

like I've done stairs for like 10 years So I

1:20:21

haven't done them for so long But it's not like I don't

1:20:23

miss it and so although I'm not doing I miss

1:20:26

having that strength that size that pump And

1:20:28

so regardless of you know, how old

1:20:30

you are, I don't think you ever like lose that urge

1:20:32

That's why I caution people like once you start it's hard

1:20:35

to stop like I stopped But I

1:20:37

was able to transition into bike racing so

1:20:39

rather than

1:20:40

focusing on how I look at my physique and

1:20:42

being like a world record power lifter because I'm

1:20:44

weak now like I Go against these kids and they like 25

1:20:47

year olds or whatever kid teenagers

1:20:49

They let lift me in the gym and I'm like I'm

1:20:51

a record holder and these guys are beating me That's

1:20:54

hard on the head, but rather than,

1:20:56

you know, caring about how much I lift or how I look, I'm

1:20:58

more like, how am I doing on a bike? So that makes it

1:21:00

a lot easier. So I can get by with just

1:21:02

HRT, but I mean, without HRT, I'd

1:21:04

probably be 10 pounds smaller even still.

1:21:06

Bam.

1:21:06

What are your stats right now? You

1:21:09

said you're 5'6", and what are you weighing nowadays? I'm about 8.5%

1:21:11

body fat. I was 188 this

1:21:14

morning. I actually weighed myself before

1:21:16

this as 192.6. So

1:21:18

like, I fluctuate somewhere in the like upper 180s, low 190s.

1:21:21

Okay. You blew

1:21:24

up with the natty or not stuff, right? And

1:21:27

you, obviously from your training

1:21:29

experience, your background, you have a very good

1:21:31

eye for

1:21:32

people that are not natty. Can

1:21:34

you tell us how that series started and what got you into

1:21:36

it? I was just

1:21:38

like the rock. Why do people think

1:21:40

he's natural? I'm like, people

1:21:43

are like, he's natural. I remember I was sitting

1:21:45

in a hot tub and it was this group of teenagers

1:21:48

and Jake Cutler was in I forget where. And

1:21:50

they're like, do

1:21:51

you think that Jay Cutler is not natural? I'm

1:21:53

like, is that

1:21:55

a joke? Like, they're like, because he was in

1:21:57

the Mr. Olympia. I was like, I was like. No

1:22:00

one in the mr. Olympia is natural. So I'm like people just don't

1:22:02

know this so I made a video the rock

1:22:04

and mark Wahlberg, I said they're not natural I showed

1:22:07

the guy that the rock had had gyno

1:22:09

surgery I had gynecomastia from when his wrestling

1:22:11

days and in the surgery I'm like these guys

1:22:14

are not natural and just sat in the kitchen I'm just ranted

1:22:16

that video got like I don't know million two million

1:22:18

views or whatever and I'm like, holy

1:22:21

shit Everyone's watching this and then

1:22:23

so I said well, I'm gonna do another one another person

1:22:25

the famous I said doing that I noticed every

1:22:28

time I talk about somebody really famous

1:22:30

and give my opinion on them It gets a lot of views

1:22:33

and so I started

1:22:34

going through the internet who are popular people

1:22:36

I'm gonna talk about them and so that

1:22:39

really helped blow up my channel aside from doing Videos

1:22:42

like educational videos like the dangers of

1:22:44

drugs steroids like the pros and cons The

1:22:46

natty or not really took off and it was talking about

1:22:49

people who were like really famous That

1:22:51

really brought the eyes to my channel and I know the same

1:22:53

thing for Derek as well He started doing a lot of the

1:22:56

same videos me and Derek were kind of like growing

1:22:58

together quite quite frequently We did

1:23:00

very similar content and so

1:23:02

it really worked

1:23:03

Yeah, Greg. I got on our brother. This

1:23:06

is a ban on my mind for a minute, right?

1:23:08

Is liver King natural or not? Imagine

1:23:12

thinking I don't understand how 5% of

1:23:14

people actually thought he was natural. I'm like, how

1:23:17

do you But like I

1:23:19

mean even now I don't think the guy's natural

1:23:21

now He said he's on like day at day 50.

1:23:24

I made a video on him. He said he was naturally like I've

1:23:26

been natural now for 50 Days and I'm like,

1:23:28

but dude you got leaner and he's like, here's

1:23:30

my all-time PR for strength I'm like, so what

1:23:33

you're telling me is you got off all those

1:23:35

drugs You're natural for 50 days and

1:23:37

you got leaner

1:23:38

and stronger. So what is it? The

1:23:40

drug work? So by getting off

1:23:43

the gear you improved like it doesn't make

1:23:45

sense Like imagine if I would just suddenly

1:23:47

grew bigger and I'm like, oh, yeah the secret is

1:23:49

I just stopped the HRT. Like,

1:23:51

no, the people believe

1:23:53

it. It's just absolutely embarrassing.

1:23:55

Yeah, clown world, man. Absolute clown world.

1:23:57

So what are the biggest

1:23:59

index-

1:24:00

that someone

1:24:01

is enhanced. What are things that for you, like

1:24:03

obviously you have a trained eye, if someone was brand

1:24:06

new and doesn't know how to identify this, what things

1:24:08

should they look for? So the problem is the

1:24:10

biggest indicator is looking at how quickly

1:24:12

they put on muscle. So without seeing

1:24:14

a before and after, it's almost impossible

1:24:17

unless they look so freaking amazing

1:24:20

that it's obvious. Like if you just see

1:24:22

a guy and he's just shredded and he has acne

1:24:25

everywhere and he's puffy and he's

1:24:27

got a swollen face and just like, If

1:24:29

the guy is huge, he's probably

1:24:31

not natural.

1:24:31

If the guy looks like he's not natural,

1:24:33

he's probably not natural. In general, you're gonna be right most of

1:24:35

the time. Like if I got pocket aces, I'm going all in. Most

1:24:38

of the time I'm right. So if you look at someone and say,

1:24:40

wow, that's an amazing physique, and say,

1:24:42

I bet he's not natural, you're gonna bet

1:24:45

right most of the time. So that makes it really simple.

1:24:47

But without seeing the before and after, very

1:24:50

difficult because oftentimes, a guy

1:24:52

can look like shit and is not natural. But

1:24:54

if you show me a guy and he's, say he's 120

1:24:56

pounds, and then three months later, He's 145 pounds.

1:25:00

How did you put on 25 pounds in a couple months?

1:25:02

You're not natural. Even though you're

1:25:04

six foot and 145 and look skinny and everyone

1:25:06

could achieve that look natural, it doesn't mean that he did.

1:25:09

That is the hard part. People have a hard

1:25:11

time seeing a physique that's average and saying

1:25:13

they're natural.

1:25:14

Interesting. Interesting. So what

1:25:16

I would

1:25:17

give us your top three

1:25:19

fake natties of

1:25:22

all time. We've got to go with the rock. You

1:25:25

got to go with Michael Hearn and you got to go with the liver

1:25:27

King.

1:25:27

Wait, sorry, you said okay, so Michael

1:25:29

Hern has to be in there because the sheer

1:25:32

numbers like the sheer fame of it Not

1:25:34

that he brags about it all the time But

1:25:36

like the fact that he's that famous it

1:25:39

has that much influence like I feel like

1:25:41

if the rock came out and said You

1:25:43

know, you

1:25:44

know black Adam, you know, I was on 400 tests 400

1:25:46

trend like if he just came out with that The

1:25:49

world would change like he would be that influential.

1:25:51

So I think he would be the biggest difference maker I

1:25:53

think Michael Hearn it's just a joke at this

1:25:56

point. Oh, like does anyone think he's

1:25:58

natural like

1:26:00

He's in the shape is

1:26:02

like he's he's doing a movie role. He's guest

1:26:04

posing the best he's ever like I'm like, come

1:26:06

on

1:26:06

Like baby don't hurt me like the memes It's

1:26:10

like Mike is a meme and the fact

1:26:12

that he claims to be natural still it's just shocking that people believe

1:26:14

it Yeah And

1:26:17

then the liver King the the the sheer

1:26:20

audacity to like in your face repeatedly say I'm not natural

1:26:22

and then that proof that he was lying

1:26:24

like

1:26:27

That's like all-time stuff right there. Gotcha

1:26:29

Gotcha and then other honorable mentions that you

1:26:31

want to add in I Would

1:26:34

say mostly it would be movie stars like

1:26:36

okay

1:26:39

Damn it Chris Hemsworth

1:26:42

Chris Hemsworth That's a big like I mean

1:26:45

this guy is not natural Like if you think Chris Hemsworth's

1:26:47

natural or like any of the superstars

1:26:50

like any of the guys with the best physiques that

1:26:52

play all Those from Marvel characters Those

1:26:54

are the ones that are really making the biggest

1:26:56

difference because imagine if he came out and said, you know I want 600

1:26:59

milligrams of Trent

1:27:00

like what would that do like so much like

1:27:02

I would love that my videos my channel would

1:27:04

be Out for a month like it would be like a badge

1:27:06

in this guy actually coming clean admitting

1:27:08

it cuz they're so famous Like a guy

1:27:10

like me. I mean some people heard

1:27:12

about me, but not a lot compared to the rock

1:27:15

or these guys There's a hundred times more famous

1:27:17

And so one of those guys could just

1:27:19

shift the needle on people like just understanding

1:27:22

what's going on.

1:27:23

What about simian panda?

1:27:25

He's a huge fake natty in the

1:27:27

past, but I don't think he's as famous or as

1:27:29

popular now He's kind of like old school. He

1:27:31

would probably be on my list if the list was made

1:27:33

five years ago or more

1:27:35

Okay, and then last mention Michael

1:27:37

B. Jordan

1:27:39

This guy like he's not natural like

1:27:42

I'm saying he's not after I've done two videos on this

1:27:44

guy But it's not the problem is a

1:27:46

lot of people can look like that natural like

1:27:49

it's attainable natural And so people are like

1:27:51

yeah, but you can look like that natural. I'm like yeah,

1:27:53

he did And he said he put on 24 pounds of muscle

1:27:56

in whatever amount of time. and he trained

1:27:58

for three hours a day.

1:28:00

boxing for three hours and training

1:28:02

with weights and doing like 80 sets of... I'm like,

1:28:04

no, you can't do all that, not sleep,

1:28:06

over-train and get that physique.

1:28:08

But it's like the amount of

1:28:10

muscle he put on in such a short period of time

1:28:12

for the role that sells it that says,

1:28:15

this is not natural. And the fact that why the hell

1:28:17

would he be natural? Like he's like, I

1:28:19

want to look like a movie star and make millions of dollars

1:28:22

and I had this avenue. And I'm not saying he's using a bunch

1:28:24

of gear, but you have an HRT

1:28:26

clinic that can prescribe it to you and do it in a healthy

1:28:28

fashion. Why wouldn't you take advantage of that? And

1:28:30

so when

1:28:31

there's $10 million on the line, you're

1:28:33

gonna take something like, yeah, nothing about it.

1:28:36

Right. Yeah. No, that's absolutely true.

1:28:39

So I hit these chats real quick and then I got a few more

1:28:41

questions. We'll close this thing out. And

1:28:43

guys like the video, by the way, there's almost 5,000

1:28:46

y'all watching right now live. And

1:28:48

we only got 2.2K likes. We need you guys to get us to 4,000

1:28:50

likes. Almost got 5,000 y'all in here. Okay,

1:28:53

various layers. So shout out to Fresh and Myron CEO

1:28:55

network. Let's go. Also a question for Greg. How

1:28:57

many calories do you eat a day? How do you balance cardio with lifting?

1:29:00

I eat at 3500 a day on average,

1:29:02

but some days I'll eat more. And cardio,

1:29:05

I mean, I'm always sore, but I'm only

1:29:07

training with weights three days a week. So what I did is I cut my

1:29:09

training in half. I lift half as much as I used to. And

1:29:12

remember what I was saying, we don't need as much lifting

1:29:14

to keep your muscles to build it. So I'm like,

1:29:16

well, I do half as much. Now I'm

1:29:19

losing a little bit of muscle, like maybe lost four

1:29:21

pounds last like three, four years, but

1:29:23

I'm 47 and I stopped using gear. And

1:29:25

so I'm doing a lot to keep what I have.

1:29:28

But I just eat more food. Like I eat

1:29:30

more calories now because I bike and burn a

1:29:32

lot of calories. Like today's ride in an hour, I burn 1,080

1:29:34

calories. It's a lot, very

1:29:37

hard race. And so I can eat like

1:29:39

pretty much what I want. Like very easy for

1:29:42

me to maintain my body fat in single digits

1:29:44

now compared to, for example, when I was blasting

1:29:46

all the gear, all of it,

1:29:48

it was way harder for me to stay lean

1:29:51

then

1:29:51

than now, even though I'm not on the gear

1:29:53

now. And the difference, the only difference

1:29:56

is cardio.

1:29:57

Yeah, Mike, Greg, if you could move

1:29:59

your mic up. Just a little bit just

1:30:01

so they can hear you a little bit better. Cool. Awesome

1:30:03

And then it says here six twenty

1:30:05

bucks goes dieting is key. However, it's

1:30:07

a burnt fat Would you recommend lifting more or cardio?

1:30:10

More or equally the same cardio

1:30:13

by a landslide the biggest underrated thing

1:30:15

for fat burning? It's cardio way more than weights

1:30:17

like you lift weights for an hour hard You're lucky

1:30:19

to burn 300 calories cardio easy

1:30:22

burn double that you burn way more calories lifting

1:30:24

weights And you as you do it more you get better

1:30:26

you adapt to it become a better butter burn calories

1:30:29

less length of t even easier. Like

1:30:31

think o calories an hour. Most pe

1:30:35

So if you get good at it,

1:30:36

more calories and eat so

1:30:40

lowers my appetite after even eat for

1:30:42

two hours. L my stomach from

1:30:44

pushing s appetite

1:30:46

is blunted until it

1:30:49

makes it easier to stay cardio.

1:30:53

That is a secret All

1:30:55

the time.

1:30:56

Yes. Yeah that one of my buddies

1:30:58

Brandon Carter. He does that he basically like is on

1:31:00

a bike Cycling while he's you

1:31:03

know doing work and stuff like that. It actually helps

1:31:05

him keep lean or he walks a lot as well He was a man.

1:31:07

Oh my god, you recommended some crazy videos.

1:31:09

He was saying you need to do 40,000 steps

1:31:12

a day in one video. I made a video on him talking about

1:31:14

that. I'm like dude 40,000 steps,

1:31:16

you know how long that takes 2,300 steps

1:31:20

is a mile for me. I'm like you're gonna walk

1:31:22

like for four to six hours a day Did you get those

1:31:24

steps in it works for sure but who

1:31:26

got time to walk 40,000 steps? Oh shit Yeah,

1:31:29

that's probably from the only cycles or when he

1:31:31

walks on treadmill Morning

1:31:33

does the morning walk? Yeah So

1:31:36

he's not eating carbs so they probably Benefits

1:31:39

from not having as much of an appetite like

1:31:41

he's limiting certain food groups people who eat less food

1:31:43

groups like less carbs They're often less hungry.

1:31:45

Yeah, some people feel like shit like

1:31:47

I can't follow that diet like a keto diet. I can't do

1:31:49

it It's just not for me.

1:31:52

Yeah. And also with keto,

1:31:54

right? You're eating meat. Meat is way more satiating

1:31:56

than anything else, right? Yeah. protein

1:31:59

meal

1:32:00

much more satiating, higher thermic effective

1:32:02

food, burnout more calories digesting

1:32:04

it, absolutely. Absolutely.

1:32:06

Coach Greg is a real one. Also thanks for your

1:32:08

freaking cookbook. Okay, they love it. JB

1:32:11

says, love coach Greg. Thanks FNF for the

1:32:13

dialogue. Only 2K likes on his

1:32:15

vid. Let's double it. Yeah, guys, we

1:32:17

got 5,000 plus y'all watching right now, Simon. Danny

1:32:20

Brooke, W collab, love you both. I give Greg

1:32:22

two years before he has enough with

1:32:24

Castro Jr's Canada and moves to the the US

1:32:26

much love. If I can get into the States, I'll start

1:32:29

with that. E. Clint,

1:32:31

trend hard and never give up. And that's from captain. I

1:32:33

haven't. You got

1:32:35

to love the miss. And then uh, the ever

1:32:37

blazer says what up FNF family, salute to the coach for

1:32:39

a guy that's five to six, about 145 pounds, 16% body fat.

1:32:41

Any tips on how to 100, how to hit 160 pounds?

1:32:46

A calorie surplus. Of course.

1:32:48

Greg, what do you suggest? Suggest people hit as

1:32:51

far as like, so they don't get fat in their calorie

1:32:53

surplus per day. If they're trying to build lean body mass.

1:32:56

No more than about 5% over

1:32:58

what you're currently eating, 10% max. So the

1:33:01

average person, I would say it's 2,700

1:33:04

calories a day. Now, mind you, the average male is

1:33:06

overweight. So most people should be eating

1:33:08

less than that. But all you need to do to gain

1:33:10

weight at a good rate, like a lean bulk, 5%,

1:33:12

10% tops. So if you're eating 2000, it's

1:33:15

only an extra 100 to 200 a day, very

1:33:18

small. You only need 30

1:33:18

calories extra a day

1:33:21

to build four to five pounds of muscle in a year,

1:33:23

which is the average person. So I've often said,

1:33:25

hey, you only need 30 extra calories. And

1:33:27

I know you can't track this, but I'm only just doing that because

1:33:29

I understand math. I taught math grade 7

1:33:31

to 12, so I know math very well. But if

1:33:34

you're adding in 100 extra calories a day, I

1:33:36

mean, that's a lot of muscle a day. You're talking about 15

1:33:39

pounds-ish muscle in a year that can be built

1:33:41

on that. Most people can't build that much. So if you're

1:33:43

even adding 100 calories a day, probably

1:33:45

someone's going to be body fat. And so

1:33:47

very small surpluses. Bam.

1:33:49

Charles, I got an offer to trade

1:33:51

school. for

1:33:54

electrician, my current job is pretty easy and pays

1:33:57

decent, but I would only make up to 80k a year. I'm

1:33:59

only 22 little my

1:34:00

dad with a car payment, that's about it. What's

1:34:02

the right move? Bro, 80K per year, make it

1:34:04

happen, and then you can always scale up, bro, because

1:34:07

you can become like a master electrician, et cetera. So,

1:34:09

getting- Where are these people living that 80K isn't bad?

1:34:11

I was a school teacher making like 40. Yeah,

1:34:14

man. That's all I got, guys. And you'll

1:34:16

get a union, you'll get a good retirement, great

1:34:19

skill to have, and you can always, if you want, you can start

1:34:21

your own electrician business. But so great,

1:34:23

real quick with that. So it's Money

1:34:25

Monday, I gotta ask you this.

1:34:27

How does someone monetize

1:34:30

in the fitness industry and how did you do it? Well,

1:34:34

I guess how I do it or anyone do it is you have to

1:34:36

find something that the people want and give it

1:34:38

to them. Like for me, it was like, Coach Greg, can

1:34:41

you make a cookbook? Well, sure. Like

1:34:43

find something that you're good at and you're passionate about

1:34:46

and then promote it to your audience

1:34:48

and try to sell it. Like I'm not a

1:34:50

guy that's going to like a fan of bulking. of bulking.

1:34:52

So if I came up with a book and it said, all

1:34:55

these recipes on how to gain weight, well, why

1:34:57

would I do that? That's not about me. So

1:34:59

you have to go along with your brand and what you stand for.

1:35:02

I promote cardio fitness. And so I

1:35:04

wrote a book like, geez, the circle

1:35:06

diet book, it's how to lose weight, keep it off

1:35:08

to the rest of your life. And then you see my cookbooks

1:35:11

and training books, all this stuff. So I

1:35:13

offer people what they want

1:35:15

based on my expertise. So whatever that

1:35:17

is, whatever you're doing, sell

1:35:19

people something that you're good at, that you're an expert on

1:35:22

and that they want. The key is

1:35:24

they have to want it. Bam.

1:35:25

Well said. What are your biggest earners? The

1:35:29

cookbook has made me the most money overall,

1:35:32

but now I make more on supplements

1:35:35

like Geo2Max and all

1:35:37

these supplements in the background than the cookbook by a fair

1:35:39

bit.

1:35:40

How much has the cookbook made you, if you don't mind disclosing?

1:35:43

I sold close to 100,000 copies

1:35:45

and they're between $150 each. Sheesh.

1:35:48

So sheesh 15 million

1:35:50

maybe 10 15 million I'm

1:35:53

on a fucking cookbook shout out to that

1:35:55

That's what we're talking about baby. Shout

1:35:57

out to all the haters that got mad at you for selling it

1:35:59

for 100...

1:36:00

the buy ticket closer. At least you say all

1:36:02

the time, no one's going to buy that. What are you going to you would

1:36:04

sell? You'd make so much more money if you put the price

1:36:06

down. I'm like, really? Well, I'm not going to tell you

1:36:08

how many I saw. Like, I mean, I didn't want everyone

1:36:10

to copy the book because I was like, it's doing pretty good.

1:36:13

But like,

1:36:14

if I sold it for less, people almost buy less because

1:36:16

they're like, oh, it can't be that good.

1:36:18

Like, there's a supply demand

1:36:20

curve. And it's like, you know, there's a certain price

1:36:23

point. That's the right point. I think I hit

1:36:25

it like I mean,

1:36:26

did what I could do. Yeah. Martha Stewart probably

1:36:28

selling her books for the similar price. So why not?

1:36:31

And she's a felon. Well, for lying.

1:36:34

You for smuggling, right? So

1:36:38

great. And then you said the supplements.

1:36:40

Real quick, bro, because you succeed in the supplement

1:36:42

industry. I've seen so many people fail

1:36:44

in the supplement industry. It's very difficult. You need

1:36:47

a lot of money to get in. It's not expensive to

1:36:49

produce the supplements. And then also, the

1:36:51

margins aren't as much as people think. Can you talk

1:36:53

about how you were able to build a successful supplement company?

1:36:55

because I did so many videos on

1:36:58

like steroids and supplements

1:37:00

and what I'm taking, I have an IP pro card,

1:37:02

I've coached people and people believe

1:37:05

what I say. And so I have a respected opinion.

1:37:07

And so it's not just how many followers, it's what

1:37:09

kind of followers you have and what you're famous for. Like

1:37:12

these TikTok girls and guys and whatever,

1:37:14

and the dancing around, like, I've tried

1:37:16

to sponsor them. They do nothing. They do no

1:37:19

sales because people aren't buying something.

1:37:21

If you have some I'm a pretty girl and says, it's

1:37:23

like why? You have to be able

1:37:25

to explain

1:37:25

things so I can educate and

1:37:28

teach people. So I've been able to sell

1:37:30

so much more than perhaps the average YouTuber

1:37:32

that has like a million followers as an example, because

1:37:35

my channel is a go-to channel for fitness

1:37:37

advice. And so if I'm explaining a supplement

1:37:39

or a protein or whatever, and this is it,

1:37:42

and they take your word for it, then that's

1:37:44

really important. That's

1:37:46

just how you do it. Like other people, they're

1:37:49

just not good at talking about stuff or

1:37:51

they don't know anything about it. Like how am I gonna,

1:37:53

how are you gonna sell beta alanine if you don't know

1:37:55

why it works? If you don't know what it does, what so

1:37:57

like, you just, no one's buying it. So you have to be

1:37:59

edu- educated

1:38:00

on it. Yeah.

1:38:01

And I think also like the fact that you're so honest,

1:38:03

you're so transparent, especially in the fitness industry

1:38:06

where a lot of people are cappers and liars and, oh,

1:38:08

I'm natty and all this other stuff. You went against

1:38:10

the grain. You're like, no, I'm going to tell the truth on what

1:38:13

I really do. I'm going to give you guys my controversial

1:38:15

takes on certain social situations. And you know,

1:38:17

when it comes to sales, people like have to like no

1:38:19

one trusts you. And I think that's another big thing as well. You

1:38:22

have a good. Like what I'm talking

1:38:24

about, like my past, like selling

1:38:26

stare, like all the shit I've done

1:38:28

in the past. open book. I'm like, yeah, that's true. This is

1:38:30

true. And so like, why would

1:38:31

I start lying about something when I've always

1:38:33

just told the truth? Like when I say I'm

1:38:36

on 140 milligrams of test, that's what I'm on.

1:38:38

It's like, these are the supplements that they, this is what I'm

1:38:40

taking. If I took GH, I'd say, Hey, I

1:38:42

took GH. This is what it's doing. Like there's no

1:38:44

reason to lie. It's like, it's so easy to

1:38:46

not lie. You just tell the truth all the time. You just

1:38:48

don't have to pretend. So

1:38:50

I think people believe that. It makes it a

1:38:52

lot more, uh, trustworthy source

1:38:55

of information. So that's why they're going to buy supplements from

1:38:57

me.

1:38:57
