It’s without doubt that Covid-19 lockdown measures have affected many demographic/populations but prisons’ residents are probably not generating sympathy because those who reside in prisons are usually criminals. It’s actually shocking to know that some are willing to plead guilty despite being innocent because their incarceration period will be longer if they seek to prove their innocence. Isn’t it abhorrent that the rich/powerful can always file motions and after motions to delay proceedings/avoid serving time, while the average citizen has to consider pleading guilty to get out sooner? Unbelievable!
