Hello everybody , welcome to
0:03
the Fairy Whispering podcast . I'm
0:05
your host , Claire Sylvan-Wand long-time
0:07
As
0:10
listeners might know , sometimes I like
0:12
to come to a favourite place
0:14
in nature and record these intros
0:17
and outros for the podcast , and
0:20
today I've come to some
0:22
lakes on Dartmoor
0:24
that are one of my favourite places
0:27
to walk usually and I'd
0:29
hoped to record this outside , but
0:31
it's really high winds today
0:33
, so I'm
0:36
sat overlooking
0:38
Trenchford and Totterford
0:40
Lakes and
0:42
watching the branches bob
0:44
up and down with the wind and
0:47
the last winter leaves from autumn
0:49
last year . They're just trembling
0:51
in the breeze . Here
0:55
in the northern hemisphere we are fast approaching
0:58
the spring equinox and
1:00
the evenings are increasingly longer and
1:03
the spring flowers are showing it's
1:05
a time of hope and rebirth
1:07
and potency . As we
1:09
turn towards the sun , the
1:12
wild places become more enticing
1:14
to explore , dreaming and
1:16
renew our spirits . A
1:19
welcome embrace can be found in the
1:21
sheltered lee of the hill , resting
1:23
against the veteran oak , or
1:25
sitting on a sunny park bench beside
1:28
flowerbed . Whatever
1:31
storms are rocking the world or
1:33
that we are weathering , I hope
1:35
you can find small moments of grace in
1:38
your day to day life that support
1:40
and strengthen your journey , and
1:42
I hope to that this podcast can
1:44
be part of some of those moments
1:46
. I
1:49
have some great guests coming up
1:51
with some fascinating encounters
1:53
, including a white lady , a
1:56
rabbit that was not a rabbit
1:58
, and moss people . I
2:01
am thrilled that the podcast is gaining
2:03
new followers . Please
2:06
share with friends if you enjoy this one
2:08
like and review , as
2:10
it all helps the show to grow . Also
2:15
, I have uploaded video versions of
2:17
episodes onto my Fairy
2:20
Whisperer YouTube channel
2:22
. Now onto the episode
2:25
. Step through the veil with
2:27
my guest , Loren Hughes , a
2:29
seasoned explorer of the arcane
2:32
, as we delve into the mysterious
2:34
and mysterious world of lost landscapes , ancient
2:37
mythology and the art
2:39
of traversing the otherworldly
2:41
. I heard Lauren
2:43
speaking with Jo Hickey Hall on
2:46
her Modern Fairy Sightings podcast
2:48
and I was intrigued to hear more of his encounters
2:51
. Loren shares his profound
2:53
insights on the multi-layered
2:56
existence beyond our physical
2:58
realm , inviting us on
3:00
a journey through psychic realms and the
3:02
soul's capacity to connect
3:04
with higher beings . We
3:07
unfurl the mysteries of lucid dreaming
3:09
and the revelations they hold
3:11
, as Lauren recounts experiences
3:14
that blur the lines between our world and
3:16
the ethereal plane . He
3:18
shares a haunting family tale for fairy
3:21
painting that came to life , stirring
3:23
both wonder and trepidation , I
3:26
realise , listening back , as I did a lot
3:28
of chatting in this episode I
3:30
tried to contain myself and listen to
3:32
my guests . However , I was enthused
3:35
by Loren's experiences . I hope
3:37
that my sharing adds to
3:39
the episode and doesn't take
3:41
away from your enjoyment . This
3:44
episode offers a glimpse into
3:46
the enchanting and sometimes eerie
3:48
interactions with the otherworld . Therefore
3:51
, if you are sensitive to creepy content
3:53
, caution is advised when listening
3:55
. These episodes are not suitable

4:35
, into the Fairy Frame
4:37
. Enjoy , and I will come
4:39
back to you at the end with some final
4:41
thoughts . The
4:49
Fairy Whispering podcast explores
4:53
guests encounters
4:55
with the otherworld of fairy and
4:57
ways of connecting with this realm
4:59
, from listening to messages
5:02
in owls , hoots , finding
5:05
a four leaf clover , chasing
5:08
rainbows or inviting a
5:10
gnome to dinner . I'm
5:13
Claire Sylvan Wand , a
5:15
fairy whisperer researcher
5:17
and your guide on this journey
5:19
. Take my hand
5:21
and step into the Twilight
5:23
Woodland where they
5:26
are waiting to meet you . Welcome
5:34
, lauren , to the Fairy's room .
5:37
Take the first thing out of your mind's eye and
5:39
just spill it , and we'll go from there
5:41
.
5:43
Shall we start with travelling
5:46
in other realms ? Yes , that
5:51
kind of links into other things , but I
5:54
was hoping to talk about I mentioned
5:56
in the
5:59
interview . I heard you with Joe
6:01
talking about travelling in the otherworld
6:03
. This is something
6:06
I resonate with
6:08
and we were talking about before
6:10
we started recording . Could
6:12
you talk about any of those journeys
6:15
and your experiences going
6:17
into the otherworld ?
6:19
No problem , I'm just going to put a bit
6:21
of a foundation down with that for people
6:23
who aren't familiar with this . There's
6:27
far more to a human being than
6:30
just the physical aspects of ourselves . If
6:32
we were just our physical aspects , we'd just be a
6:34
handful of chemicals and a bucket of water and that would
6:36
be it . But we're clearly not People
6:39
that are interested in the
6:41
satiric , in higher forms
6:44
of magic , witchcraft , shamanism
6:47
, even druidry . The
6:49
first thing that they're acknowledging is that there's
6:52
more to the human spirit than just
6:54
the physical , that we actually have a spirit
6:56
that lives inside us . That
6:58
spirit some people believe reincarnates
7:00
, other people struggle with that . Personally
7:03
, I believe in reincarnation . I
7:05
think that makes perfect sense , that we reincarnate
7:08
from time to time . Just
7:12
to lay a little bit of foundation from a very
7:15
general mystery school aspect
7:17
, also
7:20
taking some references from druidry
7:22
, a modern druidry , a
7:25
human being acknowledged as basically being
7:28
triadic
7:30
in nature . We've got the physical , we've
7:32
got the psychic aspect and we've got what we call the
7:34
spiritual aspect or the soul in us . The
7:38
psychic aspect is probably the most
7:40
interesting because the psychic
7:43
part of ourselves , our psychic body and
7:45
our psychic mind and our psychic energies
7:47
, is the medium that's able
7:49
to travel between the purely physical and
7:52
the higher realms that you might call the spiritual
7:54
, the sacred or just the higher
7:56
worlds . If
7:59
I say plastic in nature , I mean that with
8:01
a small P , in that it's fluid
8:03
, it's moldable in terms of its energies
8:06
, the psychic self . You can tune in to
8:08
a higher . With it you can tune
8:11
in to lower . It's your
8:13
personal ability to this allows
8:15
you to travel between the worlds
8:18
. One other thing that the Celts and
8:20
the Druids seem to have a really
8:22
good understanding of , as
8:24
do Shaman and other mystery
8:26
traditions , is that it's possible
8:28
for you to consciously and knowingly , with
8:31
some training , to be able to
8:33
send your mind , your consciousness , into
8:35
this other world , to contact other
8:38
higher beings , other spiritual beings , to
8:40
see what's going on there . To
8:42
a certain extent , this is the basis in
8:45
contemporary culture and remote viewing
8:48
, and it's
8:50
possible to access these other worlds . If
8:57
you're doing any sort of serious , balanced
8:59
psychic training , through whatever system
9:02
you study , or whether
9:04
you're following your intuition , you will eventually realize
9:07
, just by allowing yourself
9:09
to be open to that possibility and
9:11
just paying attention to
9:13
the impressions that come to your mind , the natural
9:15
fact you're developing ESP
9:18
. You're picking up things not that are going to happen
9:20
in different points in time , different
9:22
physical points on the earth and also
9:24
the other realms
9:27
. I've done a lot of work with that
9:29
, like a lot of people have , and from
9:31
time to time , I'm sure , like a good self , you
9:34
will have those moments of lucidity
9:36
, and sometimes
9:38
you can consciously realize that you
9:40
can sit down and be just tuned
9:43
in and have a conscious realization
9:45
of something the psychic
9:47
part of yourself is picking up Also
9:51
, the most common way to
9:53
remember , though , or experience
9:56
those impressions that your psychic stuff was picked
9:58
up is through your dreams . So
10:01
we get into lucid dreaming . Lucid dream
10:03
is a form of dreaming true . Most
10:06
dreams that we have just have the life and consciousness
10:09
of our outer mind . It has the life
10:11
and consciousness of a dream , but
10:13
when you begin to experience lucid dreaming
10:15
, you suddenly become aware of there is
10:17
a difference between the two . Yeah
10:21
, so you will frequently find that people will
10:23
say I was having this dream and suddenly
10:25
I woke up in the dream , knew that I was asleep and
10:27
dreaming , but I was still in a dream . Then , all
10:29
of a sudden , like , the regular dream ended and
10:32
I had this feeling that it's like a lucid dream
10:34
and I was in another place , talking to these
10:36
people seeing these things happening , but
10:38
they knew it was a lucid dream . So
10:40
they come back , wake up , recollect it and
10:42
then , lo and behold , at some point in the future
10:44
they have the experience of what they dreamt
10:47
about .
10:48
Oh right , yes , yeah .
10:50
So they discovered the lucid dream . The magical
10:52
dream was more of a dreaming true than
10:55
just that . You were dreaming about something that was just processing
10:57
through your mind , if that makes sense .
11:00
Yes , I understand this because I've
11:02
experienced this myself .
11:04
So yes , I thought you had .
11:07
That kind of especially
11:11
in the lead up to 2020
11:14
, there was events . I had
11:16
some very vivid
11:18
lucid dreams .
11:19
Right .
11:21
Sometimes on the same day I
11:24
think that makes sense , yeah . Experience
11:27
. I'd experienced some
11:29
aspects of it , so I
11:32
get that .
11:34
The other thing you'll notice with the way you're
11:36
I call it , I
11:38
put it all under the term consciousness . Yeah
11:41
, so , we are consciousness
11:43
in a body , so our consciousness
11:46
has layers . If you like , it's
11:48
got a spectrum . Yeah , One
11:51
thing I've noticed . I don't know if
11:53
you have , it can be quite interesting
11:55
. There are times when you seem
11:57
to be able to be more lucid or
11:59
have more lucid dream experiences
12:01
than others . And
12:03
one of the times that keeps coming
12:06
up for people and this is other
12:08
people will write about this . Other people have
12:10
recorded this and work with it For
12:13
some reason , wherever you are in the world
12:15
, when it's the equivalent of between 2am
12:18
and 4am , it's
12:20
kind of like a window time and
12:23
you'll find that people will have lucid
12:25
dreams more often in that time
12:27
, while they'll wake up and realize
12:29
they feel like there's a presence in the house or
12:31
they get out of bed and they
12:34
might see like a ghost
12:36
or have a fairy experience
12:38
or see a UFO or think
12:40
there's a UFO or something like that . It's
12:43
kind of that time frame sort of
12:45
enhances that aspect of our
12:47
self , whether it's some people say it's because the
12:49
electromagnetism on the earth we're on the
12:51
furthest side of the earth from the sun , so
12:53
it kind of changes the vibrations
12:56
. Some people say it's because the majority
12:58
of people around you are asleep , so
13:00
therefore all the psychic
13:02
noise that we generate as we're awake and consciousness
13:05
kind of lessened . I
13:07
don't know . That's down to individuals
13:09
sort of find out for themselves , I guess , experiment
13:11
with . So you don't take anything I say
13:14
as absolute
13:16
truth . I always say question everything , question
13:19
anything that I say to people . All I could do
13:21
is give you some interesting starting points
13:23
to start your own journey with and
13:25
find out for yourself .
13:28
Another aspect of that is what's
13:30
going on in the
13:32
body as well . That's
13:35
right , the monal stuff
13:38
that's going on and the pineal glands
13:41
, that's right .
13:42
Yeah .
13:42
It was more activated at that time
13:44
as well , did you , if
13:47
I could ?
13:47
ask you some questions but I think people might find
13:49
helpful . When you have your lucid
13:52
dreams , do you find that they're
13:54
sort of like ESP . Do you dream of future
13:56
events or do you sometimes you just get helpful
13:58
, useful information in
14:00
a dream that you think , well , actually there's
14:02
something I can take away from that and it helps me
14:04
doing something .
14:06
It's a combination . Sometimes it's
14:09
useful information . So
14:12
my encounter being that
14:15
is me a , you
14:17
know a very brief message .
14:19
Yes .
14:21
So help me to think in a different way .
14:24
Yes .
14:25
It will be something
14:27
that's in the other world , that's also
14:29
linking to this world
14:32
.
14:32
Yes , that makes sense , yes .
14:34
Real places in this world that
14:37
I'm seeing in the other world , the equivalent
14:39
in the other world .
14:40
Yes , as above , so below .
14:44
Yeah . So I just
14:46
think some people listening that haven't
14:48
experienced this , they might want an example
14:50
. A
14:53
very brief example I can give is
14:55
and I've spoken about this before
14:57
where this
15:00
was August 2019
15:04
, I think Right and
15:09
night before I dreamt of
15:11
, or in the early hours of the morning , I had a lucid
15:13
dream . Right , I'd gone
15:16
to a oak tree with
15:18
my fairy guide and there's a little bit
15:20
of a dream , right , a little bit of a lucid dream
15:22
she took me through . This
15:26
is a very brief synopsis .
15:28
That's alright , that's fine .
15:32
She activated my forehead
15:34
and said oh , he's got several shacks
15:36
and he's lit them up . And
15:39
then all the beings , the fairy
15:41
beings that were there , all had this symbol
15:44
on their forehead .
15:45
Right .
15:46
Like a room , a room .
15:48
Yes .
15:49
A house which is represented as the dawn
15:52
and awakening .
15:53
I know about the room .
15:54
yes , In the beginnings .
15:56
Yes .
15:58
I didn't know it was a room at the time and subsequently
16:01
shared it with someone and they
16:03
said oh , that's what it is .
16:05
Yes .
16:06
So the next morning I got
16:09
up was making coffee
16:11
in the kitchen . My son came downstairs
16:14
.
16:14
Mm-hmm .
16:17
He's very sensitive , but
16:20
anyway , he came down and I said oh , ethan
16:22
, what's that on your forehead
16:24
? Yes , he had this
16:26
symbol imprinted
16:28
on his forehead .
16:31
I can't believe for that .
16:34
It would be , I don't know , just like
16:36
an impression . Yes , that's
16:39
what he slipped and it was immediately
16:42
faded . Yeah , and
16:45
then both my kids said they wanted to go to this
16:47
specific park that day . Right
16:49
, so they could go to this forehead , right
16:51
. And
16:54
we went to the park and
16:56
first thing I saw walking into this park
16:58
, the bottom of this tree , was a doorway
17:00
, like a natural doorway .
17:02
Oh , wow .
17:03
In the bottom of this door , of
17:05
this oak tree .
17:07
Yes .
17:08
So that's just an example of
17:10
you know for anyone listening
17:12
what this can happen Once
17:16
you get into this . And
17:18
that happens because I was
17:21
going through a period of intensive
17:23
psychic development . I
17:28
was focusing on developing my clever ways
17:30
.
17:31
Yes , that makes sense yes .
17:34
And that led to these experiences
17:36
. So , yeah , it's something you have to well
17:38
, you have to work on , I think
17:40
.
17:41
I just have a couple of interesting footnotes
17:44
to what you just said . You
17:46
said that about the rune was to like sunrise
17:48
awakening there on the third eye
17:51
. Yeah . Yeah . In
17:53
the great pyramid of
17:55
Kufu in Egypt . Yes , one
17:58
of the history schools regarded as
18:00
it was a temple of initiation
18:02
. Basically , yes , Thank
18:04
you the idea being that it
18:07
was never built . That particular
18:09
great pyramid was never built as a tomb . It
18:11
was actually , I think , a symbolic hall of initiation
18:13
. It was a place that gathered energies
18:16
and helped you initiate
18:18
, unfold . That was in a mystery school
18:20
, yeah . So there's
18:22
part of their spiritual unfoldment . And
18:24
when you go into the great pyramid , you
18:27
go into the entrance , you go down
18:29
and then you start this long climb
18:32
up in this huge gallery
18:34
called the Grand Gallery , where it's a
18:36
vaulted ceiling and it opens up and
18:38
it's really high and eventually you get
18:40
to the top step and
18:42
then you're in front of the King's Chamber , which
18:45
has a sarcophagus in it . It's
18:47
important and you have to go into that
18:49
King's Chamber . You then have to crawl
18:51
on all fours , go into this
18:53
narrow space and you go under three
18:55
giant granite leaves
18:58
and when you
19:00
stand in front of the last granite
19:02
leaf , if you stand up , there's
19:05
the Egyptian hieroglyph or symbol
19:07
there for sunrise , and it's
19:09
at the exact place of the average
19:11
height of a man and woman for where the
19:14
third eye is . Oh , I
19:17
thought that was really interesting , that you were seeing
19:19
a rune for the third eye
19:22
, sunrise .
19:23
Wow , oh my gosh , this just
19:25
gets . Do you know the more
19:28
people I speak about this ? The more
19:30
information comes through
19:32
. That is amazing . I
19:34
have a great pyramid . It's
19:39
before my children were born .
19:41
Right .
19:43
In 2000, . It was early
19:45
2006 . Wow , in 2006
19:47
. They
19:50
were born in the yes September
19:53
. So
19:57
I've been , it's to me , I was carrying
19:59
them . Oh wow , I was
20:01
in Egypt .
20:02
I was .
20:03
So we've been to the great pyramid .
20:05
That is brilliant , that is absolutely amazing
20:07
.
20:08
Yeah , it's amazing . Oh
20:10
my gosh , I'm
20:12
just a bit blown away by what you just told me
20:14
.
20:14
I'm going the part of the ministry
20:17
school thing was when you initiate
20:19
and you were taken to the
20:21
King's Chamber
20:23
. You were then left in the sarcophagus
20:26
overnight for like a sort of symbolic
20:28
death of the ego . Yeah
20:30
, the vibrations at this place
20:33
creates a lot higher vibrations
20:35
that you tune the
20:37
physical glands in the body
20:39
, the psychic centers , allowing you to experience
20:42
that sense of illumination .
20:44
Yeah , wow , gosh
20:46
, I didn't know that aspect . Thanks
20:50
for sharing , because you know various characters in
20:52
history that would have spent
20:54
the night there .
20:56
Even Napoleon managed to spend
20:58
the night there in the great pyramid . He
21:04
was very esoteric orientated
21:06
and certainly picked up on the energies there
21:08
. Wow .
22:01
So I mean this experience I
22:03
had was a part of an
22:05
initiative .
22:06
Yes , exactly yes .
22:08
Yes , everything , the
22:10
stories of meditation , meditation
22:13
journey . So I was going the
22:15
unmoved . Yes , was
22:17
like an initiative to re-experience
22:19
us . Yeah , yes . And
22:22
again , I spoke to
22:24
Jeremy Garner recently who
22:26
went to mine that told
22:28
me about the map , the fairy map , and
22:32
we spoke because he
22:34
heard might be talking about
22:36
this rune on Joe's podcast
22:39
. Okay , yes . And
22:42
he said oh my
22:44
gosh , claire , did you realize that one
22:46
of my album covers has that
22:48
rune on it ?
22:50
Wow .
22:52
And he said it's like that
22:54
rune is a gateway into the fairy realm
22:56
.
22:56
Yes .
22:58
So I said no , I didn't
23:00
realize that you know , and now
23:02
you just add another layer to
23:05
this as well , but yeah
23:07
, he's . He
23:09
said oh , he was explaining the four different directions
23:12
and how this rune
23:14
. This rune shows up
23:16
on one of the tarot
23:19
cards . I think it's the wheel
23:21
of faint , it's
23:24
on .
23:24
Yes . Yes , it does . Yes
23:27
, On the deck , you've got
23:29
it . Yes , yeah .
23:32
So I'd love to
23:34
hear any of your
23:37
experiences of crossing
23:39
one to the other world .
23:41
Well , I've got a story
23:43
that I like to tell people . It
23:45
was experimented with astral projection
23:47
. Yeah . Which
23:49
is a long , slow process . So
23:52
, part of astral projection is sometimes
23:54
that you're you're
23:57
tuning up to the different layers of the psychic
23:59
realms . You know the higher up the vibrations
24:01
you go or
24:04
interesting things that
24:06
you see , or sort of you , you're making contact
24:08
with these other worlds . It's something that I
24:10
believe from some of the vague
24:12
references that we've seen in surviving
24:15
Druid writings and some
24:17
of the things that the Romans said about the
24:19
Druids , they understood doing that
24:21
themselves . It's sort of like a primal tradition
24:23
. So that would make
24:25
sense as shame . And do it . Other cultures
24:27
do it . You know they have these experiences
24:30
one way or another . They
24:32
record it . But all the , if you read all these different
24:34
accounts that they're all pointing towards the same
24:37
thing . So you sort
24:39
of see the , although
24:41
written through different cultural filters , they're actually describing
24:44
the same things . About what these
24:46
journeys in consciousness ? Yeah , and
24:49
some of the first things
24:51
that stood out to me was I
24:56
was having a lucid dream . I woke up
24:59
in a dream you always dream and you could feel
25:01
that the dream ended and it's very lucid
25:03
dream where there was an astral projection or not . I
25:05
didn't know at the time that there was this sensation
25:07
of coming out of the body and you could
25:09
sort of see the body on the bed and you're like , okay , maybe this
25:12
is dream , maybe this is a bit real
25:14
and I like to imagine whatever . And
25:16
you came out , the body went outside and I've always
25:18
loved the stars , growing
25:21
up with the stars , always find the stars and amazing
25:23
place to be underneath
25:25
the stars , looking at the stars
25:28
. They were quite magical and
25:30
I found myself outside looking at the stars
25:32
and the constellation of Orion
25:35
was rising . So I was looking
25:37
at Orion and in one particular
25:39
round , one of the particular
25:41
stars in Orion . The
25:43
colors are very intense . But if
25:46
you're sort of lucid dreaming
25:48
, if you're seeing psychic colors , the
25:50
colors are very intense . They're often blues
25:52
and shades of colors that you don't normally see
25:55
with the physical eyes . Yeah
25:57
. And looking at this one particular
25:59
star area in Orion , there
26:01
was this big arc of
26:03
deep red light around
26:06
it and it quite fascinated me . I
26:08
thought that's not there . I've
26:10
never seen that on a map or what . I
26:12
know the stars like the star atlas
26:14
really well . I know the stars by
26:16
sight . And I thought that's strange
26:18
and it will watch this for quite a while
26:21
. The next thing I know , obviously I've woken
26:23
up and I made some notes
26:25
about this and I went to
26:27
every star atlas and a strongly
26:29
book . I could find Nothing about this big
26:32
arc of deep red around
26:34
this star . And then about
26:37
five years later it
26:39
came out in the astronomy magazine that
26:41
the new infrared telescope
26:44
had discovered exactly
26:46
where it . Where I saw it was
26:49
this big infrared light infrared
26:51
light nebula around the star . So
26:54
from that experience I was able to see something
26:56
that was really there . That I
26:58
couldn't see , and
27:01
I was like oh yeah , but you must have read it somewhere , you
27:04
must have seen it somewhere and forgot about it , and
27:06
it was your mind tricking you . Well
27:09
, nobody knew that existed no .
27:11
So , this knowledge . It's going into
27:13
that timeless place , isn't it ? Yes ?
27:15
that's it , yes .
27:18
You're accessing all times at once
27:20
.
27:20
Yes .
27:22
It just doesn't exist , so
27:24
yeah , so
27:27
wow , and
27:29
how far ahead in time
27:31
did you ?
27:32
About five years before it came out . Yeah
27:35
.
27:37
And these experiences in our time
27:40
. It's like fairy times . Well
27:42
, I've
27:45
spoken to other people about this . They
27:47
only make sense in our
27:49
time over over these years
27:52
. Yes , yes , yes . You
27:54
look back and you say I don't really
27:56
know what that was about . And a couple of
27:58
years later you'll speak to someone .
28:01
Yes .
28:02
Something you'll say .
28:02
Yes .
28:04
You'll be like , oh my gosh , that's what that was
28:06
about , but it's kind
28:09
of drip fed to us .
28:10
Yes .
28:12
Or maybe it's just because our time yes
28:14
, that's right . Yeah
28:17
, yeah
28:20
. I was just wondering what your understanding
28:22
of that was . This kind of do
28:25
you think that we are
28:28
given this information slowly
28:30
? Yes , they
28:33
don't want . You know . They , whoever they are
28:35
, don't want to get to us all at once
28:37
. Or it just says for all this different
28:39
time line
28:42
.
28:45
I would say in all honesty it's a combination
28:47
of both .
28:48
Right .
28:49
Because the in any other
28:51
dimension it's as if , basically
28:55
on the psychic realm , time doesn't exist
28:57
in the way we experience it here . What
29:00
we're actually experiencing here is like
29:03
a duration of consciousness . It's
29:05
how long our consciousness thinks
29:08
. It takes time to perceive things . And
29:11
I do think that sometimes there's our
29:15
own deeper aspects of our own consciousness
29:17
. I think even Jung
29:20
got towards this . It's almost like a
29:22
self-regulating system . It
29:24
won't let the conscious mind
29:26
be overwhelmed with too
29:28
much information . On
29:32
that plane of existence , information
29:34
is more immediate and it's more interconnected
29:36
. So it understands
29:39
that if we are processing that , we're processing
29:41
it to the analytical part of the brain as
29:43
opposed to the intuitive part of the brain .
29:45
Yes .
29:46
It slows it down , so we can analytically
29:49
deal with it .
29:52
Yeah , and also I
29:54
mean because we're all living these human
29:57
lives .
29:58
Yes , yes .
29:59
One of us are living like sages or
30:01
monks or nuns of
30:03
old .
30:04
Yes , exactly .
30:07
I mean , I've just , I've had
30:09
yeah , honestly
30:12
, I've had a week or
30:14
so to myself by my
30:16
children and dads and
30:19
in that time I thought , great , I'm just going to have some
30:21
time to myself and you end up catching up on
30:23
other things .
30:24
Yes .
30:25
It's very difficult to get this kind of
30:27
sage-like existence
30:30
where you just completely
30:32
kind of go to
30:34
experience these things all the time , isn't
30:37
?
30:37
it so .
30:38
I mean , I mean , do you find
30:40
this , that your experiences
30:43
of these worlds come and go ?
30:45
Yes , the intensity . Oh
30:47
yeah , absolutely , absolutely
30:49
yes , yeah . Yeah
30:52
, absolutely it's got an ebb and a flow . There's
30:55
more porous aspects to your life , when
30:57
you're interesting to be
30:59
able to see this other world . It
31:02
helps in the druids called it . So
31:05
yeah , it does . It comes and goes . It's got ebb and flow
31:07
. Sometimes you'll be able to go through really lucid
31:09
couple of years with things and suddenly there'll be
31:11
nothing for years and years and years
31:14
and it's almost like , when it comes back , it's come up
31:16
on a spiral . It's come up on the next , slightly
31:18
higher level .
31:20
Do you find that disconcerting ? Because I
31:22
find that disconcerting at times when nothing's
31:25
happening and I think , oh , I've not heard any
31:28
sort of otherworldly
31:31
experiences from a while .
31:33
It is . It is yes , I mean , I probably
31:36
don't now because
31:38
, I'm a lot older and got used to it . Yeah
31:41
, Initially yes , I think
31:43
it's it can
31:45
be disconcerting . I think everybody
31:47
, at various points , will find it disconcerting
31:50
.
31:52
Yeah , thank you . That's reassuring .
31:55
Yeah , there's nothing wrong with you . There's nothing
31:58
gone wrong . You know there's
32:02
not a part broke off the great cosmic
32:04
, all somewhere . You haven't broken anything . You're
32:06
fine , everything's alright . That's
32:08
good
32:10
.
32:10
I'm sure other people will find that reassuring
32:12
as well .
32:13
Yeah , they do . Everybody thinks like I think what have
32:15
I done wrong ? Have I broken something
32:18
? What's that ? Is there something wrong with me
32:20
? What's happened ? Yeah .
32:22
I'm sure not anyone in human history
32:24
would think , oh gosh
32:26
. On the other side of that there's
32:29
perhaps people
32:32
that aren't having these experiences
32:34
yet . Yes , Just
32:37
dipping their toes into them . Yes
32:39
, Just dipping their toes in .
32:41
Yes .
32:42
It's from my
32:44
experience , and that's
32:46
to hear your experience of this as well
32:48
. It's . I don't think
32:51
there's any sort of . I mean
32:53
, I've done loads of courses , I've read lots of books
32:55
. I think it's a lot of it . It's about being
32:58
receptive .
32:59
Yes .
33:00
To and having that intention
33:02
, isn't it ? I look at that intention
33:04
that you want to engage with these people ?
33:06
Yes , yes , I mean
33:08
it will come in time . But
33:10
part of the obviously the way we
33:12
have to package information , the way
33:14
we put information together , and
33:16
it's the age old
33:18
difference between the right brain and the left brain
33:21
. You know , one side is analytical
33:23
and kind of expects everything now
33:25
and expects it all in like
33:27
a sequence . Like the analytical
33:30
part of the brain , what if I press a button ? Shouldn't
33:32
this be happening ? Whereas the intuitive side
33:34
of the brain is more connected to everything
33:36
. It has a sense of unity . It's kind
33:39
of perceived space and time completely
33:41
differently and it's like no man , just
33:43
chill out , just go with the flow . And the other side of
33:45
the flow what are you ? talking about Heavy
33:48
You're like a wall going
33:50
on between the two . Yeah
33:56
. Because what the analytical part of the brain
33:58
does when it finds gaps in
34:00
its information , it can't help itself
34:02
. It's almost like a pathological liar . It has
34:04
to invent things to fill those gaps with the
34:09
connected , the sort of the cosmic side of your brain is like what
34:11
are you doing that for man ? Just relax . It's
34:13
a flow , shut up . Yeah
34:20
, that's a really good illustration of
34:22
what goes on in my head back
34:24
to the room , in my head
34:26
, just as though .
34:31
Oh , I , have you got
34:33
anything else to say about the world we
34:35
travel in ?
34:43
There's always lots to say and I've always got
34:46
to say I say we'll draw that
34:48
one to a close now . Give
34:50
people a chance to sort of think about that and digest
34:52
that we can always do another part
34:54
of that . Yes , yeah
34:57
.
34:58
Yeah . So the other thing talking
35:00
about stepping into other worlds or other
35:02
worlds stepping into miles Now
35:05
I'm an artist . I know I've
35:07
seen some of your art . I know you're a very , very
35:09
good artist . I've seen some of your lovely
35:11
drawings online and
35:15
there's something you mentioned
35:18
in your chapter
35:20
, joe , about a fairy painting
35:22
. Would
35:24
you mind sharing that ? No problem
35:26
, yeah , no problem I
35:28
just find it fascinating with
35:31
the aspect we've just been talking about
35:33
, you know , interacting with other worlds
35:35
, but this is
35:37
an example of another
35:40
world that's been working with us
35:42
.
35:43
Absolutely .
35:44
Yeah , so
35:46
anyway , I'll let you tell the story
35:48
.
35:50
First off , my
35:52
mother had me quite late in life . All
35:55
right . So she was nearly
35:59
40 . And I'm
36:01
being in my 60s . That
36:03
then places my mother as a little girl
36:05
in the 1920s , so
36:07
we're going back quite a long period of time . Yeah
36:10
, and she
36:12
was an only child and
36:15
her mother and father lived in
36:17
London and they moved
36:19
to this somewhat of a dark
36:21
but all right terri's house .
36:23
And they were trying to brighten it up .
36:24
And my mother was a little girl and she had
36:27
a room that she she slept
36:29
in with her cot and
36:31
some toys in it , and then
36:33
at night time they'd have like a little
36:35
oil lamp to light the room Because
36:38
, again , this was the 1920s , people
36:40
didn't always use loads of electricity
36:42
, so or if they
36:45
didn't always have that habit , literally
36:47
. So she'd have like a little
36:49
lamp in her room and she was
36:51
probably about
36:54
two and a half , I'm guessing this is . This
36:56
is the stories that my family has told
36:58
me , right ? I can't verify
37:00
this , I don't know how true this is , but
37:02
their reactions over the years
37:04
, seeing
37:07
to me and the stories , were consistent . From
37:09
whoever you spoke to about it , to
37:12
me it came across
37:14
as authentic . Something did happen and this is probably what happened
37:16
. I'm pretty
37:19
convinced it's
37:21
100% what happened , because I've got the story from a mum
37:23
and various other family members , some
37:26
of which will even later in life , were still disturbed by
37:28
it . So you see that they were really so
37:32
from my point of view , I'm
37:35
just relating what is the story in the
37:37
family and as far as I know and
37:39
I'm convinced that it was true anyway , but obviously
37:41
it's up to people to make their own mind up it's
37:43
an interesting story , so
37:45
I'm offering it for what it's worth . Yeah
37:48
sure Go back to London . It's the
37:50
probably the latest 1920s
37:53
and it's a dark
37:55
sort of autumn evening and
37:58
my granddad was on
38:00
his way home from the office we worked as
38:02
a draftsman . And he had a big
38:05
wrapped up painting under his
38:07
arm that he was all excited about , and
38:09
apparently he'd been left a painting
38:11
by a relative that had passed on . I
38:14
think they maybe left them a little
38:16
bit of money , but they'd left them this painting
38:18
and when they got home even
38:20
his wife unwrapped the painting . I think
38:23
it might have been a watercolour
38:25
. I never really thought that up from anyone what kind of
38:27
painting it was . It was probably a watercolour
38:29
framed . I know it was in a frame and
38:32
it was a painting of fairies , fairies
38:34
in like a little forest scene and
38:37
the fairies had bright colours on and
38:40
they seem to be playing musical instruments and
38:42
just doing sort of very Victorian
38:44
sort of view
38:47
of what fairies did . Whether
38:50
it was like a , whether it was like a recently like
38:52
a children's book illustration or just a painting
38:54
that somebody had done , I don't know . But
38:57
, I'm amazed with this painting because it was . It
38:59
was very detailed , very
39:02
finely painted by somebody
39:04
obviously knew what they were doing , so
39:07
they decided that that'd be perfect
39:09
to go in my mother's room . So
39:12
they placed it in the room . It
39:14
took her upstairs , placed it in the room over
39:17
the mental piece and
39:19
there was a little oil lamp there
39:21
burning so she could see the fairy painting . She was
39:23
in trance by it , amazed , and
39:26
she loved that . And she
39:29
was eventually lying down to go to sleep
39:31
when she
39:33
thought she could see
39:35
something fly around the room . So
39:38
she sat up in bed and looked at
39:40
the painting and she was thinking
39:43
it's different in
39:45
some way . What's different about it
39:47
? She suddenly realised
39:50
three of the fairies were missing from the painting
39:52
and when she
39:54
looked around in the room the three of the
39:56
fairies were now 3D , real fairies
39:58
and they were sitting on the end of
40:01
her bed looking at her . And
40:03
of course then she looked at the painting . The rest
40:05
of the fairies began to peel off the painting
40:08
, becoming alive , dancing and
40:10
giggling and playing little musical instruments along
40:12
the mental piece and
40:14
dancing and flying around the room . At this point
40:17
my mum thought that was fantastic
40:19
. And then all of a sudden she was thinking
40:21
no , hang on , this is frightening me
40:23
. So she started screaming , and screaming , and screaming
40:26
for her mum and dad . And
40:28
mum and dad came running upstairs and
40:30
as they opened the door , the
40:32
fairies went back to the painting and
40:35
it was like nothing there . So they spoke to
40:37
herself . It was just a dream
40:40
. You're only literally half awake , half asleep
40:42
. You're dreaming , don't you ? It's all right , it's fine , it's
40:44
fine . So she went to
40:46
sleep and then the next night
40:48
everything was all right , and I
40:50
believe the story goes a few nights later she
40:52
wakes up , the same thing the
40:54
fairies are coming out of the painting dancing around
40:56
the room . So she screams
40:59
and she screams and they come running up
41:01
. As they come in the door , the door hand turns
41:03
, the fairies go back to the painting . At
41:05
this point this happened a few more times
41:07
. Yeah , with her , she's
41:09
getting quite scared and they're going . Look , you know , it's just
41:11
a dream , you're only little , you
41:13
know , come on , be sensible
41:15
about this . And it was almost
41:18
lightly telling her off to try and
41:20
stop her being frightened , yeah . So
41:23
she was sort of struggling
41:25
with this . And then eventually things
41:27
came to the head one night
41:29
, where she sees the fairies
41:32
come out of the painting . They're flying
41:34
around the room . So she's shouting for her dad and
41:36
her dad comes running in and he sees
41:39
the fairies . He was
41:41
absolutely terrified
41:43
. And then a mom comes running
41:45
in and she sees the fairies and they see
41:47
them all fly back into the painting . So
41:51
, absolutely terrified Although
41:54
nothing bad ever happened my
41:58
grandparents took the painting out of the room
42:00
, took it downstairs , wrapped
42:02
it up and put it in the cupboard under the stairs . Or
42:06
there's slightly different versions of what they did
42:08
with it from the family . So I'm sort of just running
42:10
with the general , the general
42:12
consensus of elements
42:15
that I was told that happened and sometimes
42:17
there's slight little variations . Something
42:19
said they put it in the sideboard
42:22
, something said they put it in the cupboard under the stairs . You
42:24
get what I'm saying . Just the variations aren't dramatic
42:26
, it's just little details . So
42:30
eventually
42:33
my grandmother decided the
42:36
painting was just too spooky . There was
42:38
apparently other things that happened
42:41
when it was in the cupboard under the stairs . So
42:46
, she one day took the painting out into the
42:48
garden took it out of the
42:50
frame and burned it and
42:52
got rid of it .
42:54
Yeah , it's . Yeah
43:00
, I mean that's just an amazing
43:02
, amazing story . But
43:04
I can understand from the adults
43:09
, but
43:11
oh , it's scaring our daughter and
43:13
strange things are happening and
43:16
that's when the fear kicks in , isn't it
43:18
? Something that is listening
43:22
to the story now , these years ahead of you oh
43:25
gosh , that's really mad .
43:27
I would have kept the painting . I'm sure you would have done .
43:32
I've been there sort of like watching it every
43:34
night .
43:36
I mean , I think the final straw with my grandmother
43:38
was she was very superstitious
43:41
, we afraid of these things
43:43
, and she had quite religious background and
43:45
the final straw was hers that she
43:47
absolutely insisted
43:50
that she looked out of the
43:52
the the garden window
43:54
one day and saw this figure
43:56
, this male figure with a beard
43:58
and long hair , wearing kind of
44:00
like brightly colored robe , clothes
44:02
, floating in the garden , looking at
44:04
it , which she had presumed was Jesus
44:07
, but it could have
44:09
been a fairy . Yeah
44:11
, yeah , we don't know , and
44:13
so that's when she just flipped out and decided to
44:15
get rid of the painting , which she did
44:17
. Gosh . However
44:20
, there's a payoff from this . If
44:22
about three or four years further down
44:24
the line , my
44:28
mother was out
44:30
with my grandmother and they were
44:32
going somewhere sort of late
44:34
on a summer's afternoon . They had to walk
44:36
through this park and
44:39
they were talking . My mother was trying to talk about the fairy
44:42
painting to her mother . Oh
44:45
yeah , the things that she'd seen . Her
44:49
mother was going oh you know , I do
44:51
believe in fairies and the fey and there's like
44:53
spirits from other worlds and things like
44:55
that and as they're walking through
44:57
this particular part of the park , down
45:00
this pathway which was well used for people
45:02
, they come to this turn
45:06
in the path where it goes through these trees
45:08
, and they saw this man . He
45:10
was laughing and chattering to himself
45:12
be able to sort of demented
45:15
berserk and
45:18
he had a knife and he's stabbing into the ground and
45:20
he's stabbing this hole in the ground . And
45:22
my mother and her
45:24
mother was like , oh , he looks quite dangerous
45:27
as bad energy . And my
45:29
grandma grabbed my mother's hand and said come on , we'll
45:31
just walk past him quickly . And as they went
45:33
to walk past , this man
45:35
stepped out of the bushes who
45:37
was again long hair , long
45:42
like robes , on sort of almost
45:45
medieval looking robes , and
45:47
he said put his hands up . And he said please stop
45:49
, ladies . He said I want you both to go
45:52
back down the path as quickly as you
45:54
can and don't look back . Go
45:56
now , go , go , go . So
45:59
they went and they went as fast as they
46:01
could down this path and eventually they
46:03
look back and they could see this figure
46:05
standing there when
46:07
the guy with the knife had tried to follow them
46:09
down the path , but he was standing like
46:12
, looking like that , as if he was looking at this
46:14
figure . So they
46:16
disappeared , went off . There's
46:18
a follow on to this .
46:19
Yeah , yeah , carry on A few days later
46:22
they're walking past the station
46:24
.
46:24
In those days there was paper centres at the station
46:27
. Read all about it . Read all about it . Here's
46:29
the headlines on whatever happened . And
46:31
there'd been a murder in the park
46:33
in London that exact part and
46:35
the guy that they'd seen about
46:38
an hour later had stabbed
46:40
to death a mother and a child that
46:42
were walking down that path . Oh
46:44
gosh . So
46:47
they always stayed with both my grandmother
46:49
and my mother . These mysterious
46:51
ethereal figure had turned up
46:53
and stopped them .
46:56
Oh gosh , that's so tragic , isn't it ?
46:58
Yeah .
47:02
So this figure sounds
47:06
like it was a guardian spirit .
47:08
Yeah , yeah , absolutely yeah .
47:13
So it brings up so
47:15
many questions , doesn't it ? Sorry about that .
47:19
Probably shouldn't have told you that from now that's
47:21
fine , you
47:24
know the .
47:26
so this
47:29
guardian figure was there to
47:32
protect your
47:35
grandmother and great-grandmother
47:37
.
47:38
Yes , right , so my
47:40
mother and grandmother . Your mother
47:42
and her mother , my
47:45
mother and her mother , and
47:49
then this
47:52
murder happens . Yes
47:54
.
47:57
And it makes you wonder , doesn't it what
48:00
it was , whether your
48:02
mother's being and grandmother are
48:04
being protected .
48:06
Yes .
48:07
Because they have some purpose .
48:09
Yeah , true , yeah , good thing yeah .
48:14
Well , you know what ? Who knows why these things happen
48:16
? But , this figure
48:18
coming out . I mean , what's your feeling about
48:21
this figure ? Do you think it's an
48:23
ancestor or guardian
48:26
spirit ?
48:28
It could have been it
48:30
could have been a guardian spirit . I
48:34
tend not to think it was an ancestor
48:36
, I think it was . It was a guardian spirit , whether
48:39
that was a fey or something
48:41
that lived in the area . Whatever it was
48:43
, it was trying to keep them
48:45
safe , which it did . Why
48:51
it wasn't able to keep everybody safe , I don't
48:53
know . Yeah . And
48:55
you've , you've , you've hear these experiences with
48:58
where people meet a more
49:00
than human character that turns
49:02
out to save them from something or help them
49:04
, and it doesn't happen to everybody
49:07
. I can't answer that one . I don't know why
49:09
.
49:09
No , it's one of those mind
49:12
boggling questions , isn't it ? Yeah
49:15
, Guardian
49:17
people that have experiences
49:19
of guardian angels , for example ? It's a body
49:21
.
49:21
Yes .
49:23
It's an accident , so yes . And
49:27
seemed to survive without
49:29
a scratch . And they see this
49:31
angel came and
49:33
got the car .
49:36
That's right yes , yes
49:38
.
49:40
So what can you talk
49:43
about ? Any of the other strange experiences
49:45
that happened while this painting
49:47
was being stored
49:50
?
49:51
Well , I mean I'm very limited because it was
49:53
obviously a long time before I was born . Yeah
49:56
. The general
49:59
consensus of opinion was sometimes
50:04
they'd hear music , sometimes they'd get the feeling
50:06
of a presence not a
50:09
bad presence , but like a good , mischievous
50:11
presence and things would
50:13
move around . Sometimes they'd go to look
50:15
for something . I'm sure I put that down there and
50:17
it turned out to be over there . It
50:20
was never bad things . Sometimes
50:23
it was playful things .
50:25
Yeah , it just sounds very
50:27
fairy like and .
50:28
Exactly yeah .
50:29
Music ? Well , sort of , because they're playing
50:32
music in the painting . So
50:35
music did
50:37
they hear .
50:39
Nobody ever elucidated on that , but
50:41
they said it sounded like fairy music
50:43
, whatever that's supposed to mean .
50:46
Yeah , it's interesting . Again
50:49
, that's another thing that I've spoken with
50:51
people about fairy music and
50:53
, oh really , yes
50:56
, some people Wow , because
50:59
I've heard what I describe
51:01
as fairy music . I've had a few experiences
51:04
of that .
51:04
Right .
51:06
And I've spoken to people that have heard . So
51:09
my last guest , Emma
51:12
Welsh , who
51:14
spoke about seeing the fairies on her
51:16
windowsill .
51:17
Right .
51:19
This episode , episode
51:22
21 .
51:24
Right .
51:26
And another part of
51:28
her experience that I released for my patrons
51:31
was the time slip
51:33
experience that she had and
51:36
she was a teenager and
51:38
in that case she heard medieval
51:41
music .
51:42
Oh , that's interesting .
51:44
With various other circumstances
51:47
that were happening at that time . In
51:49
that experience it felt
51:51
that it was very much . It was fairy .
51:53
Yes .
51:54
And I've heard that kind of flute music
51:57
as well , and I've heard singing Wow , yeah
52:00
, sounds
52:02
like the .
52:04
Yeah .
52:10
I've heard that kind of flute music as well , and I've heard singing
52:12
Wow , yeah , sounds like the yeah
52:17
, yeah
52:24
, the mischievousness and the music
52:26
and the things being moved
52:28
around . The objects disappearing
52:30
, as well as in the connected
52:33
fairies .
52:34
Yes .
52:35
That's taking shiny things .
52:39
I had some experiences with fairies
52:41
being very , very mischievous around
52:43
me because I accidentally annoyed
52:46
them .
52:47
Oh , I'd like to hear about that .
52:53
We've got some mutual friends involved in this . I
52:57
won't name them . I
52:59
just simply have the politeness
53:01
and discretion .
53:03
With a group of us .
53:04
we all decided to go to St Necton
53:06
Glen in
53:09
Cornwall , which if you've ever
53:11
been . It's
53:13
an amazing , magical place . You can imagine
53:15
. It's come out of Lord of the Rings . Yeah . And
53:19
it's obviously got
53:21
a reputation for being full
53:24
of the fey , full
53:26
of other worldly creatures and energies , and
53:29
at one particular part of it you've got like a
53:31
rock pool and you've got
53:33
a waterfall that comes down into it . And
53:36
my wife is Irish , so
53:39
she has a very , very healthy respect
53:41
, naturally , for the she
53:43
or the fey that's called
53:46
. She's very , very respectful
53:48
of them . Ireland
53:51
is a place that I've been to many times and know
53:53
how seriously the she had taken . The
53:56
people amongst very religious people wouldn't ordinarily
53:59
believe in that . It's like you
54:01
don't upset the she . Yeah , we're
54:03
in St Necton Glen
54:05
with some mutual friends and
54:08
I'm
54:10
standing near the waterfall and I've got my shash of
54:12
legs , I've got my wading around in the water , I'm
54:15
looking at everything and I'm thinking
54:17
, trying to take some photographs . I remember , all
54:19
of a sudden , there's a clock in the
54:21
water next to me , thinking
54:24
to the bottom , is this beautiful , like crystal
54:26
? I'm thinking , oh wow , look at
54:28
that . I thought where did that come from ? So
54:31
I'm looking up to somebody drop it , throw it from somewhere . I couldn't
54:33
see anyone . Yeah . It's okay
54:35
. So I picked that up and I'm looking at it and
54:38
the wife waded across and said what's that ? And
54:40
I said oh , it's sort of like a pier . She
54:42
said you're not going to take that , are you ? And
54:45
I went why ? She said
54:47
well , it obviously belongs to the Fae . This
54:49
is like their area . And she said
54:52
I'm going to put it back , aren't you ? You're not going to take
54:54
anything from her . I went hahaha , hahaha
54:56
, hahaha , put it back . I was thinking
54:58
, yeah , but it's a nice stone , it's
55:01
only a little stone , it's loads
55:03
of stone , I'm not going to mind , I'll just put it in a
55:05
pocket for a minute and take it back . And then
55:07
I sort of forgot about it and got in the car
55:09
with it and came back with it . So
55:12
we drove all the way back , parked up
55:14
outside our house , went
55:16
in and I was like , oh look , oh no , I've got the stone
55:18
back . I've got the stone . And the wife was like you
55:20
should not have done that , you've
55:22
upset the Fae . I'm like , oh , don't be
55:24
so silly , of course not , it's only a stone
55:27
. And
55:29
then , literally within
55:31
a few hours , I'm sitting in
55:33
the front room with a clear view of the front
55:35
door and the path . Doorbell
55:38
rings .
55:38
I'm looking , I'm looking all
55:40
the way .
55:41
Doorbell rings again . Yeah , the
55:43
wife's calling out who's at the door . And I
55:45
said well , no one . And the doorbell
55:47
goes ring ring , ring , ring and
55:49
there's like tap , tap , tap on the door .
55:52
Yeah .
55:53
So I went round to the front door , opened it , looking
55:55
everywhere nobody there . And
55:58
she was like , oh , that's weird . So I come
56:00
back into the kitchen , I'm there for a few minutes
56:02
. Doorbell rings , rings , rings , rings
56:05
, not lock . Go to the door , open
56:07
it nobody there . So , I go back
56:09
in the front room and I'm watching waiting . Doorbell
56:11
rings again . Well
56:14
, this is odd . So a little
56:16
bit of time went on and again the doorbell's
56:18
ringing . There's a tap in on the door . So
56:21
we went and looked at the doorbell . It was battery powered . I
56:23
said , right , might be a fault
56:25
, she's going , it's the she , it's the she
56:27
. I'm like no , it's a faulty bell
56:29
. So I took all the batteries out , disconnected
56:32
the wire from the bell , went
56:34
back into the front room . Half an hour later the
56:36
doorbell is ringing . Wow
56:38
. It's ringing and there's a lock in
56:40
on the door . Yeah . So
56:43
I looked and I'm like she's going , you've upset the
56:45
she . And I'm like , no , I haven't , it's
56:48
absolutely fine . And
56:50
at that point all the alarms went off in the car . And
56:52
then the doorbell would keep ringing and the alarms
56:55
would keep going off in the car . It's lights flashing
56:57
, it's got a loud , loud siren
56:59
alarm . It's like , oh my goodness
57:01
, I could not stop it , turn the alarm
57:03
off . It kept switching itself back on
57:05
and ringing , lights flashing , the doorbell ringing
57:08
. So in the end my wife said , right
57:10
, I'm taking charge of this , give me
57:12
the stone Get
57:15
. And
57:18
she built this little Faye house in
57:20
the garden . She'd put the student leaves
57:22
offerings . She wrote them a lovely
57:24
note saying I'm very sorry about my
57:26
husband . He took your stone . It
57:31
worked . All of a sudden it all stopped
57:33
. Wow .
57:38
That , that's incredible . I
57:41
totally connect
57:43
with the doorbells .
57:45
Yeah .
57:47
I don't know if you heard me talking about that . That's
57:49
something I've experienced myself .
57:51
Yeah , I'll take it . Yeah , you mentioned it , yeah
57:53
.
57:53
Playful , isn't it ? But , they are still
57:55
trying to get a message across .
57:57
Yeah , exactly yes .
57:58
You should have asked us .
58:00
Yeah , yes
58:02
, it got to the point where even I was
58:04
laughing . It was just when the it actually
58:07
disconnected the bell and taken
58:09
the batteries out , and the bell was still ringing
58:11
. How I don't know , it wasn't
58:13
connected secretly to the mains
58:15
. It shouldn't have done
58:18
it . And then there was the tapping on the door
58:20
as well . You'd hear and then it's
58:22
longed on the car .
58:24
Was it like little taps or is it
58:26
not ?
58:28
It was almost like a human , not , it was like yeah , yeah
58:31
, that was not quite a thorative knock
58:33
. Yeah , I'm
58:35
going to get your attention . Human , what
58:39
do you think you're doing ?
58:42
Oh wow . What sort
58:44
of crystal was it ? Do you know ? It's
58:46
an orangey colour , White
58:49
.
58:50
My wife knew what kind it was , but I'm sorry
58:52
I forgot . But
58:55
it was like a normal kind of
58:57
the sort of mainstream crystal . You said it was a tourmaline
58:59
or something . I
59:02
might be wrong .
59:03
Okay , I'm not a huge
59:05
crystal expert .
59:07
I mean , do you know ?
59:08
Yeah , but
59:11
how ? Wow , because
59:14
fairies and stones . I had no experience with
59:16
stones as well . Really , yeah
59:21
, picking up stone , I always ask
59:23
. Now even with like ordinary
59:28
stones that
59:31
I find when I'm out there . Oh , that looks interesting
59:33
. It's got a little face on it . Yes , yes , I say , can I take this ?
59:35
home .
59:35
Sometimes I get no Well sometimes it's always best
59:37
to ask permission . The stone might want to be moved
59:39
somewhere else . So
59:42
I just have an interesting feeling that for
59:44
some reason maybe
59:47
it's just my strength- I think it's just my strength
59:49
.
59:50
I feel like okay , well , this stone
59:52
would rather be near to the river
59:57
or fire up on this rock Just for that
59:59
reason and
1:00:02
I I it's
1:00:07
going to be a little bit
1:00:09
of a shame , I
1:00:12
feel like .
1:00:13
I feel like the stone would rather
1:00:15
be near to the river or
1:00:17
fire up on this rock . Yeah , I
1:00:22
think I'll just go . It's a few years
1:00:24
ago now . I was back 2017
1:00:26
, I went to some woods on Dartmoor
1:00:29
. Was it Wisdomen
1:00:31
woods ? No , no , this
1:00:33
was the different woods . I've
1:00:36
seen it before which
1:00:38
?
1:00:38
not many people know about .
1:00:40
I tend to look at the Woodland Trust
1:00:42
Right or you know where you
1:00:45
can look up Woodlands . There's occasions where
1:00:47
I've not been to that wood . So
1:00:49
I went
1:00:51
to this wood , spent a bit of time there doing
1:00:53
a bit of meditation and
1:00:56
I was sat by the river and
1:00:58
actually I'd taken my tuning forks so
1:01:02
I wanted to do a bit of tree healing
1:01:04
and I'd been using tuning forks
1:01:07
and connected to these . So
1:01:10
I went by the river and on
1:01:12
Dartmoor , as you probably know excuse
1:01:16
me you quite often get
1:01:19
little pieces of corpse
1:01:21
in the rivers .
1:01:24
I didn't know that .
1:01:26
Yeah , especially up like
1:01:28
post bridge . Oh , really
1:01:30
Just quite often seeing
1:01:33
people paddling in the river there by
1:01:35
bridge and
1:01:37
you see quite little raw pieces
1:01:39
of corpse .
1:01:41
Right .
1:01:42
But all over Dartmoor . So
1:01:45
I found a little piece of corpse . And
1:01:47
then there was another shiny stone that I
1:01:49
saw which was very glittery
1:01:51
. I suppose it's a piece of granite
1:01:53
that had lots of micro in it , the
1:01:55
glittery stuff .
1:01:57
Yes , yes .
1:02:00
And it looked like it had
1:02:02
a little face on it . So that's lovely
1:02:04
. So I asked if I could
1:02:06
take this stone home and
1:02:09
I thought yes , and
1:02:11
I put it aside my
1:02:13
bed . It wasn't
1:02:17
the same night , but a couple of nights later . It
1:02:19
was very vivid . I suppose it was
1:02:22
a lucid dream , where I was flying
1:02:24
, wow , above
1:02:27
this city and
1:02:29
this big park , wow , and
1:02:33
I could see myself flying
1:02:36
towards these roses and I became
1:02:38
like the silver fairy , like
1:02:40
the stone Right . So
1:02:42
I saw myself as the silver fairy
1:02:44
from this rose .
1:02:47
Wow .
1:02:50
And the message I got was that it was Golden
1:02:52
Gate Park , which I didn't even know existed
1:02:55
at that time . I looked it up
1:02:57
and I thought , oh , there is a Golden Gate Park by
1:02:59
the Golden , not far from the Golden Gate
1:03:02
Bridge . This
1:03:04
was around November time coming up Right
1:03:07
. And then I
1:03:09
googled Fairy Door , golden
1:03:12
Gate Park , and
1:03:14
the first thing that came up was
1:03:16
this artist called
1:03:21
Tony Powell , okay
1:03:23
, and he made a book about
1:03:26
time as making fairy doors and he'd put
1:03:28
one in Golden Gate Park
1:03:30
oh , really , a little
1:03:32
fairy door with his song , and
1:03:35
he'd written a book called the Fairy
1:03:37
Door .
1:03:39
And .
1:03:40
I thought oh , unless this isn't
1:03:42
a coincidence , yes , exactly
1:03:45
. And so I
1:03:47
sent an email . I said you probably
1:03:49
think I'm really strange
1:03:51
. I had a dream that I
1:03:53
was trying to go on Gate Park
1:03:56
. I said , as you've written
1:03:58
about fairies , you might understand this
1:04:00
. And told him my dream and
1:04:02
I said and there were some rose brushes
1:04:04
and some benches and I was talking to this
1:04:06
guy . I thought maybe it was him that
1:04:09
I was talking to in this dream . And
1:04:11
he said well , there are some benches in
1:04:14
Golden Gate Park with roses
1:04:17
. He said I'll find
1:04:19
them for you because he was living in San
1:04:21
Francisco . And he went and found these benches
1:04:24
with these roses . Yeah
1:04:26
, that's amazing . So all I'm picking
1:04:29
up this stone . So , yeah , it is . For
1:04:32
some reason the fairies have taken me on
1:04:34
that journey To
1:04:37
this person Absolutely and
1:04:39
sort of widened my fairy
1:04:41
With
1:04:43
all the knowledge or somehow
1:04:46
having a theory , shaman . Yeah
1:04:49
, yeah
1:04:51
yeah , I
1:04:53
suppose it is . I love it .
1:04:56
I think it's absolutely brilliant .
1:04:58
Yeah , so that's
1:05:01
the other thing that can happen when you do . I
1:05:04
suppose , when you do ask for these permission
1:05:06
, you
1:05:09
get the senior Okay , that's the yes , then
1:05:11
they'll send us these experiences
1:05:14
and maybe yeah
1:05:17
, so what was your learning
1:05:19
from that experience ?
1:05:23
Probably the most thing is actually listen to my
1:05:25
wife because she knows what she's talking about . When it comes
1:05:28
to the she , you grew up with a she . I
1:05:31
was accidentally arrogant , it wasn't
1:05:33
on purpose so I'm
1:05:35
more aware . If you like
1:05:37
, if you're working with the she , to
1:05:40
just really think about what
1:05:42
you're doing and try
1:05:45
and understand how the
1:05:47
fame may perceive humans
1:05:50
. They may see a sort of naturally
1:05:52
rude , might not be over keen
1:05:55
on us all the time . So you've got to .
1:05:56
I don't know he's almost .
1:05:58
There's an element of energetic respect
1:06:00
You've also , because they're very energetic
1:06:03
beings , you've
1:06:08
got to show respect with all your energies
1:06:10
. It's not that it's really probably
1:06:12
rubbish where they're putting it .
1:06:15
No , no that's . I
1:06:18
think that's very good way of six
1:06:21
way of describing it .
1:06:22
Yeah , yeah .
1:06:24
Yes , I
1:06:27
think they are
1:06:29
very good at reading us .
1:06:31
Oh yes absolutely .
1:06:37
I present to us my
1:06:40
experience of going in with an open heart or
1:06:42
joyful energy to open
1:06:44
me . There's no
1:06:47
point sort of trying to connect various
1:06:49
of your feeling a bit grumpy and
1:06:51
that's right very reportable
1:06:53
.
1:06:55
As part of being human . You can't help that sometimes
1:06:58
.
1:06:58
Yeah , we can't , we can't be all loving-later .
1:07:01
Exactly . Yeah , you
1:07:03
have to just set off being the grey Jedi
1:07:05
, the white
1:07:07
Jedi and the black Sith . The truth is , you've
1:07:10
got your grey . You're balancing both those energies
1:07:12
. Oh my god
1:07:14
, I can't believe . I just know the Star Wars analogy
1:07:17
. How embarrassing . I
1:07:21
love Star Wars . That's
1:07:23
like came to mind then .
1:07:26
Yeah , yeah , there's
1:07:28
so many layers in that my work goes
1:07:30
about the layers in those
1:07:33
films . Well , incredible , aren't they ? Yeah
1:07:35
, and so many films . So there's
1:07:38
all these secret messages .
1:07:39
That's right . Yeah , that's right .
1:07:41
Yeah , so
1:07:44
is there anything else you'd like to share ?
1:07:47
Well , we would be here till tea time
1:07:49
, because I'm never ending
1:07:52
. Blarney , I'm sorry , but I've
1:07:55
always got a story to tell . I've always got something
1:07:57
. Maybe it's what you get
1:07:59
through being older . You do have
1:08:01
to lot , you made a lot of mistakes and you
1:08:03
just . That's what I'm interested in . I
1:08:06
collect stories , I pay attention to things
1:08:08
. There's always something you
1:08:10
can say about something , but it's been
1:08:12
fantastic talking to you today .
1:08:14
I was full talking with you , lauren , and
1:08:16
where can people find you ? Have you got
1:08:18
anywhere that people can connect with
1:08:20
you ?
1:08:21
I'm going to have a blog up and
1:08:23
running by the end of September
1:08:26
, but I haven't got a clue what
1:08:28
to call it yet , so the safest
1:08:30
place to find me is to go onto Twitter
1:08:33
. I'll be on Twitter and the
1:08:35
, the , the , the
1:08:38
. The actual Twitter account
1:08:40
is at the Avalonians
1:08:42
, but you'll find me on . There is the ancients
1:08:44
of Avalon .
1:08:46
Ancients of Avalon okay .
1:08:49
Because I principally the things we said
1:08:51
that was interested in folklore , myth and magic
1:08:54
and the mysterious , and
1:08:57
I researched what goes on in this area
1:08:59
. I love the Southwest of England , stretching
1:09:01
up from the edges of Hampshire all the way down to
1:09:03
you and Fabulous Devon and Cornwall
1:09:06
. And it's a very , very ancient
1:09:08
part of this island , and it
1:09:10
is . It's very magical and very mysterious
1:09:13
.
1:09:14
Yeah , we haven't even got on to , because you've
1:09:16
been to Dartmoor , haven't you ? We haven't even got on
1:09:18
to talking about any
1:09:21
experiences you've had Dartmoor
1:09:23
.
1:09:24
You've had some at Dartmoor , and Exmoor was a peculiar
1:09:26
place . Oh yeah
1:09:29
.
1:09:30
Wow , Love to hear about that
1:09:32
, but shall we ? Shall we do that another time ?
1:09:34
I think we better . I'm
1:09:38
just conscious of your time and what you're
1:09:40
doing and we pack so much into
1:09:42
this . You know .
1:09:43
Yeah Well , thank you
1:09:45
, Loren it's been great
1:09:47
talking with you and
1:09:50
I hope you just stay on for a couple of minutes afterwards
1:09:53
when I finish . Just to
1:09:55
say hi briefly , but yeah , thank
1:09:57
you for being a great guest and
1:10:00
put your links to your
1:10:02
Twitter . Thank you
1:10:08
, welcome back and thank
1:10:10
you to my guest , Loren , for sharing his experiences
1:10:12
with us . I hope that
1:10:14
he will return to share more of his fascinating
1:10:17
encounters . Loren
1:10:20
sent me some information about the awakening
1:10:23
symbol that he mentioned . He
1:10:25
says here's a bit of research
1:10:27
for you . Although academic
1:10:30
state , there are no hieroglyphics
1:10:32
in the Great Pyramid . That's not
1:10:34
true . Several mysterious
1:10:37
symbols don't look Egyptian . The
1:10:40
port cullis , or granite leaf
1:10:42
I was telling you about , has
1:10:44
a boss or seal at
1:10:47
the height of the average forehead
1:10:49
, which is described as a half
1:10:51
moon shape . I don't know
1:10:54
why they say that , because the embossed
1:10:56
symbols are clearly the Egyptian
1:10:58
hieroglyph for sunrise . Although
1:11:00
the seal appears not to have the upper halo
1:11:03
in Egyptian hieroglyphs , it
1:11:06
is still the same symbol
1:11:08
. It matches the
1:11:10
style of the other hieroglyphs found
1:11:12
in the pyramid that seem to come from a
1:11:14
more ancient source that the
1:11:17
ancient Egyptians may have based the
1:11:19
system of writing on . I'm
1:11:22
posting a link to a short video that
1:11:24
doesn't include the mathematical symbolism
1:11:26
deliberately created in the pyramid
1:11:29
by its original builders . So
1:11:31
thank you to Loren for that . I've
1:11:34
included some links to
1:11:36
other videos about the mathematics
1:11:39
of the pyramids , and
1:11:42
Loren also sent me a diagram
1:11:44
of hieroglyphs for
1:11:46
the sun . I also
1:11:49
include a link
1:11:51
to information about other haunted
1:11:53
paintings . So
1:11:56
all of this is included in the
1:11:59
show notes , as usual , which are on the podcast
1:12:02
blog at fairywisperercouk
1:12:04
and
1:12:07
you can see the link in the episode description
1:12:09
. This episode reminds
1:12:11
us to be respectful when engaging
1:12:13
with the unseen and the consequences
1:12:16
of underestimating the potent energies
1:12:19
of the fey . Take caution
1:12:21
before taking naturally found objects
1:12:23
home with you . Ask permission
1:12:26
from the spirits of place
1:12:28
and if you intuitively
1:12:30
sense it is a no , then
1:12:32
respect that . In
1:12:35
my experience , building reciprocity
1:12:38
with a place helps to garner trust
1:12:40
with the other world . Is there
1:12:42
a place that you visit often that
1:12:44
you feel a connection with , or
1:12:46
are you interested in starting to build
1:12:49
this connection ? I
1:12:51
have many videos about connecting with fairies
1:12:53
through nature on my fairy
1:12:55
whisperer YouTube channel . Also
1:12:58
listen to the previous episode where
1:13:00
my guest Francesca shared her
1:13:02
encounter with a kindly fairy
1:13:04
from a place she had communed with regularly
1:13:07
. Previous episodes
1:13:09
where other world travel are
1:13:11
discussed include episodes
1:13:13
5 , fairy River of Light
1:13:15
with Sam Meredith , 12
1:13:18
, quantum Alchemy with Craig
1:13:21
Cannes and
1:13:23
episode 25 , travels in
1:13:25
Fairyland with Jeremy
1:13:27
Garner , who I mentioned in
1:13:29
the episode , whilst I was talking with Lauren
1:13:32
Again , see links in
1:13:34
the show notes for all of these , from
1:13:37
playful encounters that defy explanation
1:13:39
to protective spirits that intervene
1:13:42
in moments of peril , the conversation
1:13:44
with Lauren is a testament
1:13:46
to the intricate tapestry of existence
1:13:49
that weaves through time and space . It
1:13:52
is an invitation to expand
1:13:54
our consciousness and consider
1:13:56
the possibility that magic is
1:13:59
not just the figment of our imagination
1:14:01
, but a tangible , albeit
1:14:04
