what's going on out there, friends. And thanks so

0:39

much for joining us here on expanded perspectives

0:41

with me, Cam Hale, and joining me as

0:44

always, the king of Weez Big

0:46

Fizzy. How's it going everybody. Yes. I'm here

0:48

in beautiful, Silicon Studios. It's

0:51

getting creepy around here folks. Oh, yeah.

0:53

I haven't got the my door chime changed.

0:55

So now when you ring the doorbell, it sounds like a

0:57

witch cat flap. Right?

0:59

So, of course, you know what I'm saying. Yeah. So

1:01

the company we use, you can change it. And they're they're

1:03

fast So they always change them. So even right now with

1:06

Halloween, I think I have, like, ten different choices

1:08

from, like, a werewolf. How old is the

1:10

fancy doorbell? Hey, listen. I didn't

1:12

sign up specifically for this, it just turned out

1:15

in my favor. Sometimes things do. Right?

1:17

Very rarely. Luke, of course.

1:19

Yeah. Very rarely. Luke is really into halloween

1:21

as everybody knows. He's going in fact tonight

1:23

to watch the new Halloween ends, which

1:25

is like what part seventy five of this is

1:27

Mike Myers guy. One thirteen hundred

1:29

and fourteen episodes. Listen. Look.

1:32

Alright. you know, when you're doing gonna kill

1:34

Mc Myers now. Right? What? Old age.

1:36

That's what's gonna be the killing. mean,

1:39

let's we talk about this and complain

1:41

about it all the time. So I'm sure people are

1:43

sick of hearing us beat this box. But,

1:46

I mean, can they just They just keep making

1:48

the same things over and over. It's like, come on.

1:50

Can't you come up with a new serial killer? An

1:53

unstoppable serial killer? Can you do that

1:55

very easily? No. Why not start a

1:57

new genre? Instead

1:58

of just always Jason, always

2:01

Mike Myers among him because that's what sells.

2:03

I saw there just does it. Was there, like,

2:05

fast in the furious thirty two coming

2:07

out? You've got them all. You ought to be able

2:09

to kill me? Yeah. Yeah. cars jumping

2:11

off of buildings and landing on top of

2:13

submarines. I mean, it's I mean, it's a bit

2:15

much. Nah. Right? Have

2:17

you ever watched any of those movies for now?

2:20

I think I've watched, okay, this is

2:22

gonna be bad for everybody that's ever into these

2:24

shows. The first one I ever saw was

2:26

Tokyo Drift, and I didn't even have the original

2:28

guys in it. I don't think I saw that one.

2:30

That's the first one that I saw. And then I saw one

2:32

where I think they were in Brazil and the rock was in

2:34

it. There's like a train at the beginning, and I

2:36

think something and I didn't pay a

2:38

lot look. I don't pay a lot of attention. Here's

2:41

my problem, and I'm gonna go ahead. I'll

2:43

get off the old man soapbox after this.

2:45

Here's my problem with movies. when

2:47

I go to a movie, if you

2:49

want me to just dispel

2:51

all thoughts of reality. Right? Mhmm.

2:53

And you want me to enjoy the movie. It

2:55

has to be fantasy or sci fi.

2:57

Mhmm. You can't make me watch

2:59

or have me watch a film rather. that

3:02

is in today's time. Mhmm.

3:05

And it'd be a little out

3:07

there like, oh, I'm supposed to believe that's

3:09

happened when I know it can't, like, I have to either

3:11

be completely on planet, or

3:13

it has to be like a document. Otherwise, I'm

3:15

like, this is ridiculous. You don't think, like, the United States is

3:17

in a pickle and instead of getting, like, the navy

3:19

seals or some delta forces

3:21

that you're like, you know what? There's this there's this

3:24

group of hotrottors -- Yeah. -- for you.

3:26

We need we need that we gotta hire them, and

3:28

then they're gonna go stop this international drug

3:30

lord, and this is coming from two guys

3:32

that watch ridiculous movies and

3:34

shows. Right? Like, I get it. I'm just That's

3:36

just me. But I'm also I'm not just picking

3:38

on that franchise. I'm that way with

3:41

every movie. I hear you. You know what I'm

3:43

saying? Like, I watch the Marvel

3:45

films, but I can't say that I'm a huge Marvel

3:47

fan. Like, I've I'll watch

3:49

them here and there. But you get that because

3:51

they're super they have super

3:53

powers. Right? They're super human, so you can believe

3:55

it. I'm with you. When it's supposed to be like a real

3:57

movie and there's like one

3:59

person fighting five hundred people, and,

4:02

like, nobody can beat them up, nobody can

4:04

shoot them, and it's, like, come on, man.

4:06

Yeah. And also, look, no knock against

4:08

him because I really do like all the films that

4:10

he's in, but Liam Nason. Nason touched

4:12

being an assassin. The only thing he's

4:14

sneaking up on is a glass of metal mule.

4:17

Nobody's beaten. He's not beaten. I thought you were gonna

4:19

say Steven Seagull. because

4:21

I can't He make no. He's still making

4:23

good movies, man. If you

4:25

guys start color in your hair,

4:27

Start. He's been doing that for, like, twenty

4:29

five years. That's when you stop. Right. Stop

4:31

making movies when you gotta wash the

4:33

gray away. No lie. I saw a movie

4:35

with him in it not too long ago. and I

4:37

was watching it just kinda as a goof. Like,

4:40

is this the one where they sped it up? You told me

4:42

where it shows the fat scenes and Well, they do that sometimes

4:44

they use body they use body doubles a

4:46

lot, and I swore to God. Him, himself. I

4:48

don't think he was ever standing. Like

4:50

every scene he was in, he was sitting down. So

4:52

he was like a sniper. But

4:54

he's he's like Chris Kyle,

4:56

but like he's sniping, but he's like sitting in a

4:58

desk chair like this. And like he never gets up and does

5:00

any action. And when he goes upstairs and

5:02

stuff, it's a body double. because he's too he

5:04

can't walk up the go ahead and say it.

5:06

No. No. Anyway, speaking of something

5:08

crazy folks, I've got something crazy

5:10

here. I have to drop on on Fizzy.

5:13

hit me with it. Okay. So you've been talking

5:15

about the crawlers. We've talked about them in the

5:17

past. Listen to this. Salon

5:20

sent me this because I think you're doing a really enjoyed

5:22

it took place in a in a reportedly

5:24

in a Polish home. So it's not

5:26

just here. We've getting them around the

5:28

world. Now these crazy, creepy crawlers

5:30

listen to this. It says

5:32

I had an experience when I was around twelve

5:35

years old. Now I'm twenty one now, so

5:37

it was quite a while ago. I want to

5:39

know if anyone else has had a similar

5:41

one. I haven't been able to explain it

5:43

to this day. It was definitely the

5:45

strangest thing that's ever happened to me.

5:47

It's also kind of out there. Nobody

5:49

believes me to this day. Anyway,

5:52

this happened sometime in July of twenty

5:54

thirteen. I lived in rural Poland.

5:56

I woke up at around three AM

5:58

and couldn't fall back asleep. I

6:01

started looking around my room. I was contemplating

6:03

getting on my computer, but was just too lazy

6:05

to actually get up, so I just laid there.

6:08

Until something caught my attention,

6:10

in the hallway. My

6:12

door was slightly open, so

6:14

I could see just a little bit.

6:17

Now before I tell you what I saw, let

6:19

me give you quick picture of what my

6:21

house looked like back then. When

6:23

you exited my room, there was this

6:25

long hallway In the middle of

6:27

it, to the left was the entrance to the

6:29

kitchen, and the right in front.

6:32

To the right was the door to

6:34

the bathroom. Now at the end

6:36

of the hallway back then was

6:38

the front door with a little window

6:40

on top, so the moonlight kind

6:42

of seeped in. It must have been

6:44

a full moon or close to it because I could

6:46

see the hallway was decently lit.

6:49

Anyhow, what caught my attention

6:51

was this small head peeking

6:54

at me behind the slightly

6:56

open door. It was really

6:58

close to the ground. At first,

7:00

I didn't really think much of it. And after a

7:02

short while, I thought to myself that it

7:04

must be my dog. My dog

7:06

is maltese. He's small and

7:08

back then he used to sleep above my

7:10

head on my pillow. so I

7:12

reached my hand to see if he was up there.

7:14

And sure enough, he was sleeping. That's

7:17

when I got kinda confused. We

7:19

didn't have any other animals in the house,

7:21

and I live with my mom and my grandfather. Both

7:24

of them were asleep, and they sure wouldn't

7:26

peek at me in the middle of the night on what seemed

7:28

like all fours. So

7:31

I quickly looked back at the front door

7:33

and I saw or I'm sorry, quickly look back

7:35

at the bedroom door and I saw this thing hiding

7:38

Behind the door. Now I don't know

7:40

how long I lay there in shock, but eventually

7:42

I decided to get up and investigate. Investigate,

7:45

I mean, run to my mother's room.

7:48

I quickly got up, ran to the light switch,

7:50

turned the lights on, and fully open the door.

7:52

And when I did, I saw this thing's

7:54

legs. It was entering the kitchen.

7:57

It was on all fours and didn't run.

7:59

It seemed like it didn't even care about

8:01

me as it was moving kinda slow

8:04

like a casual walk. Its

8:07

skin was grayish and it looked like it was

8:09

dirty. It had these black

8:11

spots on it. Maybe dirt. I don't

8:13

know. Its legs were skinny

8:15

and lanky. Once again, I was

8:17

paralyzed. I don't even

8:19

know if I was scared at that moment. I

8:21

think I was just shocked at what

8:23

I was seen. When it

8:25

disappeared in the kitchen, I ran to the bathroom and

8:27

locked myself in there. I didn't come out

8:29

for a long time, and when I did, nothing

8:31

was there. Nobody woke up either,

8:33

not even my dog, and he always

8:35

chases people when they run. Now

8:38

I have no idea what that was.

8:40

All I know is that I for sure

8:42

wasn't dreaming. I'll never

8:44

forget the feeling in my stomach when

8:46

I saw this thing complete dread.

8:49

Ellis. Whoa. Creepy

8:53

like a ghouly. So movie

8:55

ghouly. Yes. But it's on all fours move around. It

8:57

makes me think of like one of those pale

8:59

humanoid. Yeah. But

9:01

first of all, how did to get in the house first of all?

9:03

Exactly. And why don't you lock yourself in a bathroom without yelling?

9:05

You're just gonna let that thing go after your dog and

9:07

your parents and your grandparent knowledge. Come

9:09

on, man. Solid point. I would have

9:11

been already out the front door and

9:13

probably two or three miles down down the

9:15

road. Screaming. Screaming these entire

9:17

times. Yeah. You'd come out of your bedroom with

9:19

your block back. Right? There's gonna be

9:21

bullet holes in the refrigerator. I

9:23

can't imagine how would you ever just go back to

9:25

sleep the next night or the next week? You know what

9:27

I mean? Just like, oh, I wonder what that was crawling around

9:29

in my room. Yeah. With

9:31

lanky, grayish, spotted legs.

9:33

There's no way I could get past that. But like you

9:35

just brought up. First of all, how does it get into

9:37

your home? And what's it doing in

9:39

there? It's like it's towing.

9:41

Again, towing with you to

9:43

get some kind of benefit from

9:45

your emotional appeal

9:47

of seeing it, the distress that

9:49

you're in. Yeah. That's kinda what it because it there's

9:51

no point. It's not in there stealing marshmallows

9:53

and Doritos and gonna get a soda and

9:56

it's not doing that, of course, it might have been.

9:58

He never had been there. going in the in the

9:59

the kitchen remember. So maybe we could do some good

10:02

leftovers or something. You know, I don't know.

10:04

The cookie jar. Right. But it's

10:06

always that thing about this is what's the point

10:08

of it? Because I understand the interaction.

10:10

I understand if it touches somebody, if

10:12

it's taking things, you get that. But

10:14

when you get all of these encounters that

10:17

are just unnerving interactions,

10:19

the only thing that gets out of that is

10:21

some sort of energy sense

10:23

from the person that they're scaring. Yeah. I don't

10:25

think it's physical. I think it's like a not

10:27

a hallucination, but like it's it

10:29

you're seeing something that's not really there. But

10:32

like I said, what it is and it

10:34

isn't? Yeah. It's like a like a demon or

10:36

something messing with you. You're trying to frighten

10:38

me. Right? But speaking of something that

10:40

is physical, It's what?

10:42

Physical. Oh, I know. I can't talk

10:44

today. I'm talking about SaaS

10:46

Watch. Check this out. This young couple in

10:48

Utah. were out walking

10:50

down the Keith Jardim Juniper Trail when

10:52

only he had an encounter with a jet black

10:54

sass quatch that started hurtling

10:56

rock towards them. I've seen the flying

10:58

Elvis as you talked chapter before. Right?

11:00

Check this as it says, my wife and I are both

11:02

extremely outdoorsy people.

11:05

I'm from a remote area in the North

11:07

Slope of the Ut, on the North

11:09

Slope of the Mountains of Northern

11:11

Utah. We had been hiking in the

11:13

Keith Jardine, and I'm sorry, folks just not like,

11:15

keep turning. Jardine

11:17

Juniper Trail a lot last year as well as

11:19

some other trails in Northern

11:21

Utah to get ready for hunting season. Now

11:23

the Jardine Trail is one of our favorites,

11:25

and we spent a awful lot of time up

11:27

there. In August of two thousand

11:29

twenty one, We started hiking in the

11:31

evening because it was so hot

11:33

during the daytime. Now we've done a couple

11:35

of evening hikes during the first

11:37

part of August with absolutely no

11:39

problems what soever. Usually,

11:42

we'd make it back to the truck by dark.

11:44

On the night that it happened, which I

11:46

believe was August tenth, I lost

11:48

track of time. We got a little bit of a late

11:50

start. We're above the main

11:52

switchbacks, which are about three miles

11:54

in when I when it gets dark

11:56

on us, so we decided to turn

11:58

around. We

11:59

both working full time jobs and we were

12:02

hiking in this area about three times

12:04

a week at this point. so we do

12:06

not always do the full route each

12:08

time. Usually just a

12:10

five to seven mile power hike

12:12

round trip. We passed by a couple

12:14

of bikers on the way out. We were

12:16

moving fast and quiet as

12:18

we were making our way down the switchbacks

12:21

just enjoying the late summer stillness.

12:23

In

12:23

the large timber, the slope is

12:26

steep, but the trail winds through the

12:28

large trees nicely. and gives

12:30

you glimpses of the basin

12:32

below and high peaks above.

12:34

It was twilight maybe fifteen minutes

12:36

or so until we needed our headlamps

12:38

to see. We

12:39

came around the slight turn in the trail

12:41

right before this large hairpin

12:43

turn at the bottom of the slope,

12:45

and almost as if caught

12:47

by surprise, I saw this

12:49

massive jet black

12:51

figure go from standing

12:54

to

12:54

crouching through a small gap in the

12:56

timber about fifty yards ahead

12:59

and just downslope of the trail.

13:01

Looking back, I'm surprised that I did not

13:03

freeze or turn my

13:05

back but we just kept moving briskly.

13:07

It

13:08

was too dark to see detail, but light enough

13:10

to see our surroundings quite well.

13:12

Sometimes you think your mind is playing tricks on you

13:15

in the twilight hours, especially

13:17

in timber with so many shadows. It

13:20

seemed just like seconds after seeing

13:22

the creature I heard a loud crack

13:24

against a prominent large tree

13:26

directly upslope from us on our

13:28

left. There may

13:29

have been two cracks I really cannot remember.

13:31

I turned around thinking that

13:33

my wife was messing with me and

13:36

throwing rocks. As I turned,

13:38

my eyes caught hers. and

13:40

I could tell she was not throwing anything

13:42

as we

13:43

were both tired and frightened.

13:46

My mind started race sitting a million miles an

13:48

hour trying to figure out what animal could

13:50

even do that. We were frozen

13:52

there trying to figure out what

13:54

was going on. know

13:55

a rock flew directly over us

13:57

at this time, and I saw it

13:59

smack the same tree with unbelievable force.

14:02

You

14:02

could feel the air from it as it zipped

14:05

by. It reminded me of

14:07

my baseball days, hearing

14:08

the seams of a fastball whizzing through

14:11

the air. I

14:11

think I quietly mumbled. I

14:14

think

14:14

someone's messing with us. You know,

14:16

your mind does funny things when you're full of

14:18

adrenaline. I could tell that we were

14:20

hit with the realization at

14:22

the same time without saying a word to one

14:24

another just by looking at her facial expression

14:27

expression which was, oh,

14:30

we are

14:30

not alone and that's

14:32

not a human. And I do

14:34

not feel in danger, but needless

14:36

to say, the feeling was going to

14:38

get worse. I ripped

14:40

my hand down out of my pack

14:42

as we moved but it was

14:44

as if my arm was paralyzed at my

14:46

side. With the gun pointing

14:48

down to the ground, I felt helpless

14:50

even with my ten millimeter in my

14:52

hand. It was strange. I'm

14:54

the firearms department head for one of the largest

14:57

gun dealers in Utah. I feel more

14:59

comfortable with my gun in my hand than

15:01

most people do. I probably have

15:03

more trigger time than your average person.

15:05

But nevertheless, I felt

15:07

strange and I couldn't pull or make

15:09

myself pull my gun up towards the

15:11

creature. I don't know what was going

15:13

on. I've had a couple of guys. I've worked with

15:15

go back up there a couple nights

15:17

later. And we

15:18

stopped at the same gap in the timber so I

15:20

could get a better gauge of its size. by

15:22

seeing the pocket where it stood in

15:25

better lighting. It had to have been

15:27

massive. The interesting thing is when we

15:29

were right next to this thing, The

15:31

foliage was too thick to see anything. I

15:33

also had the guys throw similar sized

15:35

rocks as hard as they could at point

15:37

blank range at the tree in the same area

15:39

to compare the sounds. My blood ran

15:41

cold as I heard their rocks make little

15:44

pinging sounds in comparison to what that thing

15:46

was throwing. Me and my wife just stood there

15:48

in trail the thing disappeared into the woods, so he

15:50

never saw it again. Thanks,

15:53

j g. So, man,

15:55

he's just on a hike with his wife. And

15:57

they encountered a what? SaaS watch,

15:59

hurtling

15:59

large rocks at him?

16:01

No. And he

16:02

said, like, you went up there with co

16:04

workers. and they couldn't throw rocks

16:06

near that size of that heart. But the interesting

16:08

part of the story to me is, I've

16:10

heard this several times where people have a gun and for

16:12

whatever reason, I don't know if

16:14

Saskatchewan is using telekinesis or something like, but

16:16

they just don't feel like they need to shoot at

16:18

it. Some people say they actually have it in their scope and it

16:20

looks to human. Yeah. Some people say that

16:22

they physically can't bring themselves to point their

16:24

guns at it. You know, I don't

16:26

know, man. If this is a flesh and blood creature,

16:29

you know, III don't know. I know this is crazy.

16:31

Right? because we're talking about something that's unproven.

16:33

But I don't like the I don't like the

16:35

stories where, you know, it's

16:37

speaking to you with telepathy or it's

16:39

controlling you somehow. You like a hippie

16:41

sasquatch? No, man. You like

16:43

like Woodland Protector Sasquatch? watch.

16:45

Yeah. And just like a real, like, North

16:47

American ape. That's -- I got you. -- that's the SaaS quote

16:49

story I like. Well, and but it's not up to

16:51

me, you know. Yeah. Well, you were right,

16:53

though, about it it is strange

16:55

the reports that we get of the

16:57

way people when they see it.

16:59

Like, okay, a quick

17:01

tangent. When you you grow up hunting,

17:03

especially with firearms like you and I did, our whole life.

17:05

Like, I don't remember a moment in my life that

17:07

there weren't guns in it, and I wasn't taught

17:09

how to handle them. This whole thing.

17:12

Right? So as you grow up with that, when you're in

17:14

the woods, especially as you're hunting and things,

17:16

you you're always taught first thing is to know what's

17:18

behind your target. Right? So

17:20

when you grow up as child rifle hunting or gun hunting and

17:22

all that, you you you kinda get this idea

17:24

if you know what not to shoot at. And

17:26

human form is the main thing. Right?

17:29

Like that's the one thing.

17:31

Yeah. That's watch for horses and cattle

17:33

here and all that. It's so

17:35

ingrained. I wonder if that's also

17:37

part of it. Is the minute you get your gun you

17:39

can't. You're so overwhelmed with the fact of,

17:41

like, it's not really

17:43

threatening me, standing out there throwing me at --

17:45

Right. -- screaming isn't really a threat. Right.

17:47

It's posturing but it's

17:49

not a threat. And it's like a bluff

17:51

charge. Right? It's -- Exactly. -- now my hats off

17:53

to those guys, those PHs and

17:55

all the dudes you know, that hung up in the in

17:57

the west and all up in Alaskan anywhere

17:59

that are dealing with bear that bluff charge

18:01

and they don't shoot them because I've

18:03

seen those guys just same as the PHs in

18:05

Africa. stand down those animals as

18:07

they run at. Yeah. Just real. Professional hunters --

18:09

Yeah. -- for those that don't know. So I

18:11

did it with those. Right? Like, I I

18:13

following your logic. But you know what I'm saying is that it might be

18:16

an overwhelming sense of you

18:18

can't push past it. They're not threatening you and

18:20

they're human shaped.

18:22

It's very very For well trained

18:24

for well trained hunters. That's why I'm always shocked

18:26

by these stories where people shoot their

18:28

brother-in-law or something and, like,

18:30

they just And the story always talks about how

18:32

the bushes were I'm like, who's just shooting when

18:34

they hear a noise? Like, if you

18:36

don't see, not only what you're trying to

18:38

shoot, but like where you're trying to hit it, That

18:40

I mean, that doesn't make sense to me, but obviously, there's

18:42

these hunters. Every year you hear seven or eight of them getting

18:44

shot. I mean, they just hear a noise. They just shoot.

18:47

I think about people like that probably

18:49

the way people look at my golf disc

18:51

golf game. Right? The real good disc golfers are like

18:53

that guy's trash. I'm like, yeah, I am. it's it's to

18:55

be it's the same thing. There's different levels. Like, you know what I

18:57

mean? It's high here. It's craziness, but it

19:00

does seem that way. It does seem like

19:02

it's almost Maybe

19:04

we give them that power. Maybe we think

19:06

it's that whenever the way it's just ingrained in

19:08

you. But also too, they talk about when

19:10

you see their face. Like, yeah. I

19:12

mean, talked about people who've talked about having them in their

19:14

scope and seeing their face. And then, like, dude,

19:16

like, it looks like a caveman. Like, I

19:18

can't shoot it. I don't think I would shoot him. I mean, I think I'd

19:20

be just intrigued like holy cow.

19:23

I'm lucky enough to be one of the people that

19:25

actually gets to see one of these things. And like we

19:27

talked about, I would I would probably tell you

19:29

and that would be about it. I would never bring it up on

19:31

the show. True. You can't do

19:33

that. Yeah. You can't do that. Speaking of something

19:35

you can't do, I have to leave you with this

19:37

right here. Let's let's take a

19:39

break. And when we get back from the break, you can lay it on. It's

19:41

okay? Oh, okay. I'll do that. Alright. Stick with us

19:43

folks. You're listening to expanded

19:45

perspectives.

20:07

Not to get too deep,

20:10

but every day is

20:12

precious, Cam. And we should all make

20:14

the most of every single one of our

20:16

days. So They shouldn't start out with

20:18

mediocre grocery store

20:20

coffee. You deserve to

20:22

start your day with the best coffee you

20:24

can make at home from

20:26

Trade Coffee. Now if you've been listening to the show

20:28

for a while, you've heard us talk about this

20:30

product before. I love it. I'm a

20:32

big drinker of coffee. Cam's a big drinker

20:35

of coffee. and this is like

20:37

the perfect app for

20:39

us, the perfect service. I mean, it's amazing.

20:41

They have curated, like, over

20:43

four hundred different coffees

20:46

from small independent little growers

20:48

and what you do if you're not if

20:50

you're new to coffee and you don't really know

20:53

much about it, but you wanna get involved, you wanna try

20:55

something new, maybe get a new hobby for

20:57

yourself, you go to trade coffee and you

20:59

take this quiz, And

21:02

Chris is easy to just ask you things like how

21:04

do you like your coffee? Do you like it

21:06

light? Do you like a medium roast? Do you like

21:08

dark roast? Do you prefer whole bean?

21:10

you prefer, you know, they're already ground. Like, how do you like

21:12

it? And once you do that, their special

21:14

algorithm and experts over there will

21:16

put together a custom package and

21:18

send it directly to your door, and

21:21

it's there, man. It's fresh. It tastes

21:23

good. And if you don't like it,

21:25

you can send it back. They'll give you

21:27

something else. you can change up what you like. I've been

21:29

going on this journey for over a year now

21:31

and man, I'm telling you from where I started to

21:33

where I'm at now. is completely

21:35

different. Right? I love it because I get

21:37

these, you know, incredible

21:39

flavors that like I said, you just can't get at the

21:41

grocery store. The one I'm drinking

21:43

right now, is from feast,

21:45

and they're at a Red in California, and the and the

21:47

coffee I'm drinking is called milk and

21:49

honey blend. Man, this thing

21:51

tastes like bittersweet caramel.

21:54

and creamy milk

21:56

chocolate. I love it. Also, I have one called drink

21:58

coffee, do stuff -- Yeah. --

22:00

from Lake Tahoe and the

22:02

name of this coffee is bark the moon, baby. And

22:04

it's still silky smooth and it's kinda got

22:06

this vanilla flavor. I love it. My

22:08

wife loves it. I know you like the product I mean, what do

22:10

you think about it? I am a huge

22:13

fan of trade. I'll tell you why. And

22:15

everybody that's listening has heard us talk about this

22:17

before, but here's the main reason. If

22:19

you're new to coffee, this is the best place to

22:21

go. And if you're an old dog and

22:23

you've learned all the tricks to coffee, again,

22:26

still the best place to go. Here's

22:28

why. they have everything, not

22:30

just the coffee, not just

22:32

the quiz, not just professionals

22:34

there that you can speak to.

22:36

that will point you in the right direction for your

22:39

pallet, but they also have all

22:41

the gear. If you need

22:43

grinders, kettles, you need any

22:45

way or anything, to make and build

22:47

your perfect cup of coffee. It's

22:49

a one stop shop. It doesn't

22:51

get any easier than

22:53

this. fresh delivered

22:55

coffee, all the gear you need, and professionals

22:57

to help you along the way. Yeah. And that's right.

22:59

Even if you don't know what you're doing because I'm a dummy

23:01

and I don't. They have a learning section and you go over

23:03

there and they tell everything from coffee 101

23:06

like everything you need to know. They have

23:08

brewing how to's. They have

23:10

even travel dimes and roasters stories

23:14

and guess what even even brewing tips for those

23:16

that are experienced. Kim, do you even know what

23:18

bypass brewing is? Absolutely not. because

23:20

I didn't either, but I've learned

23:23

from going over to trade. Also,

23:25

it's getting close to that time of the year. You can

23:27

give a gift subscription or you just

23:29

wanna get somebody a gift box and this

23:31

has four bags curated in house

23:34

23:36

wanna support small businesses and

24:30

One

24:31

very weird area

24:33

of strange encounters with creatures

24:35

from beyond our understanding

24:37

are those involving winged

24:40

creatures of all shapes and

24:42

sizes. These entities

24:44

prowl the skies occasionally

24:47

popping in to make themselves known

24:49

and to fuel discussion

24:51

and debate. Their origins

24:54

are unknown. Some cases of

24:56

mysterious winged entities are

24:58

especially weird, like

25:00

the mothman of point pleasant,

25:03

or the bat Squad

25:05

scene in Washington state.

25:07

What about the owl man of Cornwall?

25:10

Or one of my

25:12

favorites, a bat like woman seen

25:14

flying over the jungles of Vietnam

25:16

back in nineteen sixty nine.

25:20

What

25:20

about terraceours.

25:21

We once interviewed

25:23

a man named Paul Nation about

25:26

his encounters with the Ropen, also

25:28

known as the Endava Bird. Many

25:31

people have claimed to have seen a

25:33

real life pterosaur. or

25:36

at least a similar type beast.

25:40

What? Are these creatures? And

25:42

why do so many sightings continue

25:44

to happen? On today's show,

25:46

I'm going to cover some of these strange

25:48

sightings. Let's

25:50

begin.

25:52

Nineteen o three

25:55

was an interesting year. The

25:57

first world series was played.

25:59

Crayola

25:59

crayons came into existence and

26:02

a small town in Iowa had

26:04

a run-in with a strange winged

26:07

creature. It was a seemingly

26:09

average day in Vanmeter Iowa

26:11

on September twenty ninth nineteen

26:14

o three.

26:15

however However, the

26:16

creature known as the Vanmeter

26:18

visitor would radically alter

26:20

this average day. The vanmeter

26:23

visitor appeared out of

26:25

apparently nowhere, which

26:27

is surprising considering its size.

26:30

was reported by dozens of

26:32

witnesses as roughly an

26:34

eight foot tall half

26:37

man half winged beast. It

26:39

had

26:39

a horn on its head, and

26:42

at

26:42

the tip, shot out a blinding

26:44

and disorienting white light.

26:47

This kinda sounds similar to

26:49

the Jersey devil, only larger,

26:51

especially the

26:52

details about the leathery

26:55

wings. Although unlike the Jersey devil,

26:57

the vanmeter visitor seems to

26:59

have a development that specifically works

27:02

to disorient and confuse people

27:04

that see it. Some

27:06

people even said that the light temporarily

27:09

blinded them. This

27:11

first

27:11

event took place downtown,

27:15

right in the heart of the city's business

27:17

district, which meant

27:19

many credible witnesses

27:21

and town pillars came out in defense of seeing

27:24

the vanmeter visitor. Its

27:26

first appearance though happened

27:28

at one AM. UG

27:31

Griffith was the first person. It

27:33

is believed to have experienced the

27:37

vanmeter visitor. Initially,

27:40

he thought it was a spotlight moving

27:42

around a rooftop and woke

27:44

up annoyed and ready to

27:46

confront whoever was behind it.

27:48

When he approached the source of

27:50

the light, something huge

27:53

jumped to a different rooftop all

27:55

the way across the street and

27:57

then completely disappeared into the

27:59

night. The very

28:01

next night around the same time,

28:04

doctor Alcott, the

28:06

town doctor was

28:07

fast asleep in a room above

28:09

his office. Like

28:12

Griffith, he was also awoken by a

28:14

bright light shining into his

28:16

window. And also

28:18

like Griffith, he rushed out to

28:20

confront whoever was shining that light

28:22

in the window. This time,

28:24

he was armed. He had a gun in his

28:26

hand, and he was shocked to discover the

28:28

vanmeter visitor, which

28:30

he describes as a humanoid

28:32

with bat like wings.

28:35

He reported that he also saw the

28:37

blinding light that came from

28:39

a blunt horn on the creature's

28:42

forehead. Shocked, but

28:44

still well in control of his

28:46

faculties he attempted to shoot the creature

28:48

down a shocking five

28:51

times. After firing, he

28:53

noticed that there was absolutely no

28:55

effect on the creature. and

28:57

fled back into his home. But

28:59

this wasn't the end. No.

29:02

Once again, the vanmeter visitor

29:04

made its nightly rounds. This time

29:06

shining its light onto a watchful, clearance

29:10

done. By this time and after two

29:12

encounters by trusted people, in

29:14

the community. Rumors were just beginning to

29:17

swirl. Dunn

29:19

had

29:19

actually heard about doctor Alcott's experiences

29:23

although it's not clear if he had heard about

29:26

griffith's and decided

29:27

to keep watch throughout the night.

29:29

He posted up

29:30

in the bank and brought his

29:32

shot gun along to keep in company. Should

29:35

the visitors stop by? That's at least what

29:37

he thought. Although he still believed

29:40

clever burglars were behind the strange sightings.

29:43

Like the other two men, around

29:46

one AM. The vanmeter visitor

29:48

made himself known. Unlike

29:50

the other experiences though,

29:52

this time done done

29:54

said he heard a strangling noise

29:57

outside his home, and that is what

29:59

pushed him to investigate. Not a

30:02

light shining through the window.

30:05

Almost instantaneously as he

30:07

moved to open the door, he

30:09

was hit at close range right in

30:11

the face through the window with the

30:13

blinding light of the vanmeter

30:15

visitor. When the light

30:17

briefly led up, done instinctively,

30:20

fired his shotgun, at this strange

30:22

mysterious being, right through the

30:23

bank's front window. Like

30:26

the shots by doctor Alcott,

30:29

It

30:29

had absolutely no effect

30:31

on the visitor. The

30:32

next morning outside of the bank,

30:34

he saw several sets of

30:37

get this. three toed

30:39

footprints, which is another

30:41

callback to the Jersey devil.

30:43

And he said

30:43

he made plaster casts of

30:46

them, although they've never been

30:49

seen. More sightings are reported throughout

30:51

the next three days. This

30:53

includes o v White, who

30:55

was an owner of a local hardware

30:57

store. Who said he saw the

30:59

monster asleep on a

31:01

telephone pole, and he tried to

31:03

shoot it. Interestingly, instead

31:05

of using his light or making a strangling

31:07

noise, the vanmeter visitor

31:10

expressed his annoyance by releasing a

31:12

terrible smell. towards mister

31:14

White's neighbor, person named

31:16

Sydney Greg. They also saw the

31:18

creature at the same time, dismount

31:20

the pole and then fly through

31:23

town, apparently heading towards

31:25

the old coal mine on the

31:27

outskirts town. Most

31:30

interestingly, Anthony related to the

31:32

mothman, rather than the Jersey devil,

31:34

is the experience at

31:36

the mine. Now

31:37

fed up after three days of their town

31:39

being terrorized by this winged

31:42

beast. At Sundown, several

31:44

people from Vanmeter formed

31:46

a posse, and they geared up and headed towards

31:48

the mines, where Sydney

31:50

had said that the creature had flown

31:53

to the previous day. Now by

31:55

this time, they said strange

31:57

noises were being reported

31:58

coming from

31:59

the abandoned coal mines.

32:02

A local allegedly described these

32:05

sounds as though Satan

32:07

and the regiment of imps were

32:09

coming forth for a battle. When

32:11

the man got to the mines, they found the

32:14

Vanmeter visitor wasn't alone.

32:17

Instead, it was accompanied by a

32:19

second creature. which was spotted

32:21

emerging from the mine and taking

32:23

flight off into the night sky.

32:25

Before they can confront either creature,

32:28

that had both fled. The men decided

32:30

to see if

32:31

the creatures will return. They eventually

32:33

did

32:33

and the crowd opened fire on

32:35

the creatures. Apparently,

32:37

didn't think very much of the previous

32:39

attempts to bring down the Vanmeter visitor

32:42

with the gunshots. Once

32:44

again, despite the increased numbers

32:46

and more firepower, they were

32:48

still shocked when the creatures were completely

32:51

immune to their

32:53

firepower. Unsure of what to do

32:55

next or how to handle these

32:57

creatures that could not easily be

32:59

brought down they decided to

33:01

simply break up the abandoned mines to

33:03

ensure that these things could

33:05

never see the light a day again.

33:08

Perhaps

33:08

there was another

33:09

way out. Perhaps they flew away

33:11

into the night, but one thing's for sure

33:13

they were never seen again

33:15

and Vanmeter Iowa.

33:17

So what were

33:20

these people seeing? What an

33:22

incredible story? you

33:24

know, this this town being

33:26

terrorized by multiple

33:28

pterosaurs. I mean, it just seems

33:30

impossible to imagine.

33:33

And again, stories like the dog

33:35

man, pale crollers or

33:37

whatever. Like, there's these stories where people have

33:39

actually tried to shoot them

33:41

and nothing even happens.

33:44

It's very, very odd.

33:46

I've got some more sightings though, check.

33:49

This one out this one happened on February twenty

33:51

fifth two thousand nineteen

33:53

near Darien, Wisconsin.

33:57

It says, that this person

33:59

who wants to be remain anonymous, their

34:01

initials are envy. She

34:03

said she had observed a winged being

34:05

early that morning around five

34:07

thirty AM. near Derry in Wisconsin. NV was

34:09

traveling west on Creek Road on

34:11

her way to work.

34:12

As she approached

34:14

the Turtle Creek

34:16

Bridge, She said she observed

34:18

a large winged being

34:21

that she described as

34:23

a flying witch. The being, she

34:25

says, was altitude and was gliding

34:28

in her direction. She

34:30

said it was early dawn, but there

34:31

was enough light

34:34

for Envy to make out of form. The winged being

34:37

suddenly descended towards Envy's

34:39

car and barely missed

34:41

colliding at the hood.

34:44

Envy stated that the Bing's wingspan

34:46

was much wider than her car

34:48

and that the

34:49

body was a brownish

34:52

color like the

34:52

color of a paper bag. The body

34:55

looked feminine and slight.

34:57

The wings

34:58

were bat shaped,

35:00

and very large. She never noticed the wings flapping.

35:02

The speed in which it

35:04

descended was not natural, she said.

35:08

The face was

35:10

unremarkable, almost blank.

35:12

Envy noted that she swerved

35:14

and almost hit a guardrail.

35:16

Envy did not notice where the winged being flew after

35:18

the encounter. Now Envy is

35:21

of Hispanic descent and

35:24

stated that The being reminded her of a witch that it was described to

35:26

her by her grandmother when she was a

35:28

child. I wanna point out a few

35:30

things odd.

35:32

deciding itself wasn't not enough that have heard in so many other stories.

35:34

First of all, the wings, not

35:37

moving, not flapping. you'd

35:40

be surprised at the number of sightings of these winged type

35:42

creatures where they said the thing

35:45

moves, but the wings aren't flapping.

35:47

So what is that?

35:48

gliding? And how come

35:51

every time someone sees them, they're always

35:53

gliding? I don't know. There are

35:55

like turkey vultures or buzzards that live

35:57

in this part of Texas that

35:59

will sit there literally just soar

36:01

around for hours in the Texas

36:03

heat. And I'd never see them flap in their wings

36:05

either. So maybe it's something like that.

36:07

very very odd. Check this one out. This one happened

36:10

on February twenty eighth two

36:12

thousand nineteen, not far away

36:14

in Woodstock,

36:16

Illinois. It says, I was outside Juul

36:18

Oscar in Woodstock, Illinois, and

36:20

I believe to have seen the

36:24

same visual of an unusual

36:26

being in the McHenry County

36:28

Fairgrounds. It screeched at

36:30

me, then charged the fence,

36:33

about thirty feet from the fence.

36:35

It had a very bright,

36:37

green, glowing eyes,

36:39

and this thing had wings. It was all

36:41

black in color, and its skin, it

36:44

looked leathery

36:46

and worn. It ran back

36:48

towards the woods in the McHenry County

36:50

Fairgrounds. I, of course, called

36:52

the Woodstock Police Department, and

36:54

they had county sheriffs respond to

36:56

the location. Now,

36:59

Lon Strickler attempted to

37:01

get more information about this, and he filed

37:03

a Freedom of Information Act request

37:05

for any information pertinent to this

37:08

incident, and they filed it with the

37:10

McHenry County Sheriff's Office. And while an

37:12

official report was never written, A911

37:14

call, you know, some of the information from

37:16

the 911 call was released.

37:18

According to the incident,

37:20

it details a report coming in at

37:23

two forty six AM on February twenty eight two

37:25

thousand nineteen where an officer responded

37:27

to the nine one call 911 call,

37:29

I'm sorry, of

37:32

a man who said he'd seen a mysterious creature described as

37:34

being seven or eight

37:36

foot tall and wearing

37:38

all black. that charged

37:40

at him from the fair grounds, screeching

37:42

at him while he was in

37:44

the jewel lot. It then retreated.

37:47

The witness named the creature, the

37:49

Duff Field Pawn Swamp Monster.

37:52

Since had the first siding with the

37:54

police department, The report then

37:56

stated that the investigation was going to

37:58

continue. So what kind of

37:59

sighting

37:59

is that? Did this person just have an

38:02

overactive imagination,

38:04

watched couple episodes of jeepers creepers and then one of the model

38:06

a siding after that? I

38:08

don't know. Or

38:09

did he truly

38:11

see something bizarre? seems

38:13

to be an awful lot of like humanoids,

38:15

flying humanoid sightings around

38:18

Chicago.

38:18

chicago in the state of Illinois.

38:20

This one too coming from

38:22

Illinois. I don't know what's going on in Illinois

38:24

folks. I've been to Chicago a few times,

38:26

but this was years ago

38:28

I'm definitely gonna in area. Check this one

38:31

out. This one comes from Wakanda,

38:34

Illinois.

38:35

illinois

38:36

and this happened on April twentieth two thousand fourteen. I'm sure

38:39

I'm mispronouncing that Wakanda. Isn't that

38:41

from the movie Black Panther? That's

38:43

what it looks like here. It says on April

38:46

twentieth two thousand fourteen, a woman

38:48

named Paula was sitting near a

38:50

window in

38:52

the bottom of her ground level apartment near the

38:54

lakewood forest preserve in

38:56

Wakanda when she saw a bright

39:00

of light come shooting down

39:02

across the street at around

39:04

eleven PM. So again, just like the

39:06

Vanmeter visitor.

39:08

this thing

39:08

can project light out of its horn. Is that

39:10

is this another one of those

39:12

things? Is is it the same creatures?

39:16

Like, maybe these things live five or six hundred years.

39:18

I don't know. She said it was so

39:20

bright and defined.

39:23

The

39:23

light which lasted between fifteen to

39:25

twenty seconds was an orange,

39:28

gold, and color, and it did not

39:30

illuminate its surroundings. nor did

39:32

it move much, making only

39:34

a slight side to side or

39:36

back and forth motion.

39:38

The light retracted at

39:41

one point. Only to

39:42

reappear a moment later.

39:44

Paula fell

39:44

back onto her bed and shocked she

39:46

claims. She says, oh This

39:50

thing, it sees me. This

39:52

is what she said she remember thinking.

39:54

She said I had the deepest feeling

39:58

that this thing it saw me

39:59

that it knows.

40:01

But the light retracted a

40:03

final time and

40:06

was gone. She said that I heard a at the end

40:08

just before it took

40:10

off. Now two years later in two thousand

40:12

sixteen, also on

40:14

April twentieth, Pola encountered

40:16

a terrifying winged being in

40:18

the same area. She was taking

40:20

the garbage out just before six

40:22

AM, when something drew her eye

40:25

from across the street. In the

40:27

early morning gloom, she saw

40:29

a huge winged being. Apollo

40:32

described the being as perhaps seven to

40:34

eight feet tall when

40:35

standing erect, but

40:38

it

40:38

carried itself hunched over.

40:40

ramping along. She'd said this

40:42

thing, it was completely black. And

40:44

from what she could see, its

40:47

upper body and head were

40:49

covered in hair. The being

40:52

had long, leathery like

40:54

wings, which were partially

40:56

wrapped around its body as it

40:58

moved towards Paula. Jumping

41:00

forward, similarly to

41:02

watching someone move through a

41:05

strobe light. The terrifying

41:06

creature made an unnatural groaning

41:08

noise as it advanced. You

41:10

know what? The hairy body and the

41:13

wings wrapping around itself. and being

41:15

black in color, it kinda reminds me of a bat. Right? Like, you see the way

41:17

bats sleep upside down, how they'll wrap their wings

41:19

around their bodies?

41:22

You know, what is this thing? A bat's watch?

41:24

Paula said that she felt a palpable sense of

41:27

evil, emanating from the

41:29

bat winged monster. She

41:32

said, all I kept telling myself is

41:34

this thing, whatever this

41:36

is, this is evil. I'm

41:38

literally seen evil seeing

41:40

evil. Now fearing for her safety, she quickly

41:42

turned to flee back into her apartment.

41:44

After fumbling with her

41:47

keys for a moment, she opened

41:49

the door and turned around, terrified that the creature might

41:51

be right behind her, but

41:53

it wasn't. She said

41:55

it was gone. Paula

41:57

said that she only knew a few of

41:59

her

41:59

neighbors personally, and unfortunately,

42:02

the one she knew had not

42:04

witnessed either event. of her neighbors with

42:06

whom she was friends did take

42:09

her encounters seriously. I

42:11

don't know what to say, Paula

42:13

said later of her experiences but

42:15

I know what I saw.

42:18

Check this one out. Spring twenty

42:22

ten. Again, Joliet,

42:22

Illinois. This person says, I believe

42:24

I may have seen one of

42:27

those wing humanoids about ten

42:30

years ago in Jolette, Illinois. It was

42:32

about two AM, near the end

42:34

of March, or the beginning

42:36

of April, I was

42:38

watching TV with the window

42:40

open slightly. I kept

42:42

hearing a muffled cry,

42:46

almost like a woman crying in the distance. I

42:48

finally decided to look out the window

42:50

and then go to the back door to see what

42:52

it was.

42:54

I was looking all over the backyard and the

42:56

neighboring yards, but I didn't see anything. When I was

42:59

about to give up, I heard

43:01

the noise again. heard the noise again

43:04

I noticed that it was coming from above

43:06

me. That's when I looked

43:08

up. And I noticed something about

43:11

four foot tall. sitting on the peak of

43:13

the house behind me. I grabbed my phone so that I could

43:15

take a picture. But when I was about to

43:18

take the photo, it turned

43:20

its head to look at

43:22

me. I'll be honest,

43:24

it scared the crap out of me. Then

43:26

it dropped like it fell. Right before

43:28

it hit the ground, its wings

43:30

came out and it swooped away. I couldn't

43:32

believe how big the wingspan

43:34

was. Here's another siding.

43:36

August two thousand eighteen, two

43:39

thousand and eighteen Hammond, Indiana.

43:41

It was August of

43:42

twenty eighteen. My wife and I

43:44

were driving

43:45

south on CallMed Avenue.

43:48

and we were coming up to the red light at the hundred thirty first

43:50

street when we heard what sounded

43:53

like leather rustling. We

43:56

looked to the retention pond, to

43:58

our left, and saw

43:59

glowing red. What am I

44:02

gonna assume? or eyes

44:04

and saw a large, bat like

44:06

creature take to the skies. It

44:09

was dark colored. and easily

44:12

had to be about six feet or

44:14

more tall. In this

44:16

form I could make out, it had

44:18

crazy looking wings. The wingspan had

44:20

to be close to ten feet or

44:21

even more. About a week or

44:24

so later, I was driving with my

44:26

colleague in the South

44:28

Shore ghostbusters. This time,

44:29

we saw the same creature a

44:31

top decline avenue overpass.

44:34

It looked like it was eating something,

44:37

It had something in its hands. We turned

44:39

around only to see it take off into

44:41

the skies once more. Now we've been

44:44

investigating this area and found that this

44:46

creature sticks close to the

44:48

water. We've heard multiple

44:50

accounts of people seeing red glowing

44:52

eyes over

44:54

the waters. the last siding was

44:56

June of this year. What are people seeing?

44:58

And why the different colored eyes

45:01

glowing green eyes, this time glowing red

45:04

eyes, you know, why

45:06

the differences? Why does sometimes people see

45:09

yellow wise, like, are these different things? Are they

45:11

all the same things? I don't

45:14

know, but though that's winging

45:16

humanoids. Now, Moving

45:17

on to a similar

45:18

subject, but different are

45:21

the sightings of living territories.

45:23

Now there's an author by

45:26

the name of Jonathan David Whitcomb,

45:28

and he was written a book called

45:30

Terraceores in America. I think I'm gonna be picking that

45:32

up soon. to do some sightings out of there as well. But you can

45:34

get that book on Amazon. But he

45:36

said in a blog that he

45:38

wrote that Most

45:40

eyewitnesses of apparent terracehors

45:42

tell nobody about their strange

45:44

encounters except maybe one

45:46

or two close friends. or close

45:49

family members. He writes in his blog that are you

45:51

one of the few lucky or

45:53

unlucky persons who have seen something

45:55

like a pareodactyl?

45:58

or any large featherless flying creature

46:00

that was unlike a bat.

46:02

If something like a winged

46:04

monster has flown into your life

46:06

experience, It

46:08

does not throw your into doubt. It's okay. You're

46:10

not alone and

46:13

do not doubt yourself. Believe

46:16

that the world of life is

46:18

bigger than what has been betrayed to us

46:20

in western culture. He's

46:22

absolutely right.

46:22

That's what we talk about on the show.

46:25

You know? People come to me

46:26

all the time and tell me about their their

46:28

encounters, whether face to face, whether over

46:30

the phone, whether through an email, And

46:34

who am I to sit here and say that what they saw

46:36

that didn't happen? I don't know what they saw.

46:38

And I know a lot

46:40

of them are sincere. People

46:43

have seen strange things and why and where, you know, that's

46:45

one thing I was talking about. I don't have

46:47

any answers. Right? I'm just relaying the stories

46:49

to all of y'all. I'm not

46:51

a cryptozoologist. I'm not a scientist. I'm

46:54

not a researcher. I

46:56

simply am somebody that

46:58

retails strange and crazy stories that are sent

47:00

to me. Anyways, back to my point, this was a signing

47:02

of an actual Terraceaur. You

47:04

know, I mentioned earlier about the rope

47:07

in, the endava bird, in

47:09

Paul Nation. You can go back and listen to our Paul Nation

47:12

interview. We even replayed a a

47:14

classic rewind not too long ago with

47:16

Paul Nation. Pretty cool

47:18

stuff. This happened in papa new

47:20

Guinea back in nineteen forty

47:22

four. Now this, of course,

47:24

must be the

47:26

most famous terodactyl siding of the past one hundred

47:28

years. It's I place it

47:30

on a pedestal as one of the

47:32

four key

47:34

siding's in the Southwest Pacific. So much

47:36

has been written about it that we'll examine a

47:38

few details here. Check this out.

47:40

It says two American soldiers were

47:44

stationed in Fish Hoffman, New Guinea, on

47:46

the mainland of the largest tropical

47:48

island in the world. At that

47:50

time, in nineteen forty four,

47:53

no Japanese were left in that

47:55

area. So

47:56

the two men were granted permission

47:58

to hike up to a local village

47:59

to the west. In a

48:02

jungle clearing, about one hundred feet in

48:04

diameter, they both witnessed

48:06

something huge take off

48:09

into the air. doing

48:10

Hodgkinson than a weather observer for the artillery

48:12

took six decades before

48:14

he came forward with his

48:17

siding. The creature

48:19

the creature ramps through the grassy

48:20

claims with long legs

48:22

clearly not to be confused

48:24

with a long tail. Hodgkinson

48:27

could see that the legs during the running

48:29

on the takeoff were about three to

48:31

four foot long. He estimated the

48:34

tail to be at least ten or

48:36

fifteen feet long. and he was

48:38

certain that he had not confused the legs

48:40

for a tail. Hodgkinson

48:42

was concentrating on the head,

48:44

especially on the long appendage

48:47

that was like a horn

48:49

held parallel to the long neck of

48:51

the pareodactyl again with the horn.

48:54

The wingspan appeared to him to be

48:56

the same as that of a private airplane. He would later

48:58

own a piper, try Pacer, and he

49:00

considered the wingspan twenty

49:02

nine feet to be

49:04

very similar of the flying

49:06

creature that he encountered West efficient

49:08

often in nineteen forty

49:10

four.

49:11

the So Maybe

49:12

there's no more territories now, but perhaps back

49:14

in nineteen forty four, there were still

49:16

a few left in papa new Guinea. I don't know. I

49:18

like that. I know it's a romantic idea.

49:22

I personally like to believe that there were

49:24

some then. I like to believe that they're still out

49:26

there now. A small population of

49:29

them living remote Papa new

49:32

Guinea, wouldn't that be so

49:34

cool? Here's a sighting of another Terrace

49:36

ore. On March twenty third, two

49:38

thousand thirteen, a man was driving on

49:40

interstate five forty on the north side of Raleigh, North

49:42

Carolina at about sunset

49:44

when something strange flew right

49:46

in front of his car. With

49:49

a wingspan of about five to six

49:52

feet, it had a long tail that

49:54

ended in a spade. And

49:56

this thing had a

49:58

crest on its head, something

50:00

like claws in its

50:02

midwing, and a complete lack of

50:04

feathers. He said it gave him

50:06

a shock. I can only imagine. In northern

50:08

Minnesota,

50:08

three eyewitnesses saw a creature

50:10

gliding across the highway. This

50:13

time, the flying creature had reddish

50:16

brown leather type skin

50:18

with

50:18

no feathers. It had bat like

50:21

wings, and again, a

50:22

crest on its head, a mouth full of small

50:24

teeth in the back and larger in

50:27

the front. It also had long

50:29

legs and a long tail.

50:32

Both legs and tail no confusion apparent between

50:34

them. The tail, again,

50:36

had a spade shaped thing

50:39

on the end of it. So here's two different sightings and two

50:42

different parts of America. Right?

50:44

One taking place in North Carolina and

50:46

one taking place

50:48

in Minnesota. but the description other than the color is almost

50:50

identical. Large wings,

50:51

spade at the end of its tail,

50:54

crest on top of

50:56

its head, Is it the same

50:58

thing? Or are there lots of these things? I

51:00

don't know. Here's another one

51:01

from October twenty second,

51:03

two thousand two. Shell

51:06

Island, Nature Reserve, and

51:08

Florida. The person says we were

51:10

vacationing in Panama City

51:12

Beach, Florida. and had decided to boat out to Shell

51:14

Island, a nature preserve.

51:16

Arriving just an hour

51:18

before sunset Sunset

51:20

came and went, and just before darkness began

51:22

to fall, we returned to the boat,

51:24

which we had to wade to from

51:27

shore. We had to drop anchor twenty feet offshore

51:29

for fear getting caught on the

51:31

sandbar. Now this was October twenty

51:34

second two thousand two. It was a

51:36

clear day in the eighties.

51:38

As we

51:38

waited out to the boat and were getting in,

51:40

we saw

51:41

the craziest sight. All

51:43

the birds and wildlife took off at

51:45

once and

51:45

scattered in every direction from the

51:48

spot we had

51:50

just come. The sound

51:52

and sight immediately drew

51:54

our full attention. We

51:56

then observed the thing waddle

51:59

out from the brush. this was

52:01

a small one seven to eight foot tall judging from

52:03

the bush height among the shore.

52:05

Our cameras were in

52:08

the boats, since we had gone

52:10

to Shell Island for a little mill detecting and beachcoming. This thing

52:12

looked directly at us and paced

52:14

back and forth along the shore

52:17

for approximately the distance of about thirty feet in

52:20

total. We didn't wanna wait

52:22

around to get a better view of it.

52:24

Once we saw the

52:26

head crest, I tell you, it was a

52:28

terracar. If the sightings

52:30

only happened in the USA or on

52:32

one or

52:34

two occasions, I can understand this

52:36

tendency to to dismiss the reports of those remote controlled engineering

52:38

creations causing confusion for

52:40

any unwitting observers. But this

52:44

is not the case. What we saw was flesh and blood. What

52:46

we saw was real. There are

52:49

hundreds of these documented sightings I've

52:51

been looking into it. It's

52:53

close to unbelievable in the mainstream

52:55

modern western world. But the

52:57

evidence suggests that a bizarre creature which

52:59

once mimicked a pterisor manage of

53:01

years ago has outlived its prehistoric

53:04

companions. These sightings are

53:06

real. Now this comes from an anonymous

53:08

person going by the initials

53:12

AL. I don't

53:13

know. So here in Florida,

53:15

again, this

53:16

thing

53:17

had a crest Check this

53:18

one out. This one's from April two thousand twelve in

53:21

Central Arkansas. It says I decided

53:23

that I needed to go to the grocery store

53:25

to pick up a

53:28

few things. I was out in the country driving

53:30

slowly, all alone, going

53:32

over a bridge at about two

53:34

PM on a perfect sunny

53:36

springtime afternoon. It

53:38

was

53:38

April two thousand twelve. When all of a

53:40

sudden,

53:40

I see something coming up from

53:43

underneath the bridge. From

53:45

out of the passenger seat window and about five or

53:48

six feet from me, I can see

53:50

something that's medium gray. As

53:52

it came up a little

53:54

bit more, I could see part of a wing, part of a

53:56

beak, part of a head

53:58

crest, and one big

53:59

gold eye.

54:02

it

54:02

looked as if it was struggling to get up

54:04

over that bridge and up over my truck because of

54:07

its heavy weight. As I

54:09

slowed down even more and

54:11

looked at it closely, the first thought to enter

54:14

my mind was prehistoric.

54:16

And my second thought was it looks

54:18

like something that should shouldn't

54:20

still be living today. My third thought was

54:22

this is some type of prehistoric bird.

54:25

I then watched out

54:27

of the windshield as it flew

54:30

up over my truck, up

54:32

into the sky, and off

54:34

toward a wooded area southward.

54:36

It seemed as if everything was in

54:38

slow motion, as

54:39

I watched it fly up my truck and

54:41

fly away. I watched its

54:43

wings above

54:43

me and how

54:46

they looked and how they

54:48

moved. They moved like a

54:50

muscular wave from when into the

54:52

wing to the tip.

54:53

The wings were

54:55

thick like a steak and were shaped like an airplane's

54:56

wings. The wings had three

54:59

sections to them with

55:02

black creases or wrinkles

55:04

running down them. And on the

55:06

middle outside of the wings were what

55:08

looked like fringes

55:10

or fingers. I then noticed

55:13

the torso, how big it

55:15

was, and that it was shaped kind

55:17

of like an egg. I observed the head

55:19

and the crest, and how strange it looked on top

55:21

of the head, and how it kind of bounced up

55:23

and down as the

55:26

creature flew. I also

55:28

noticed the long length of the

55:30

neck. The

55:30

legs were just floated in the

55:32

air and kind of bounced on each

55:34

side of the tail. The tail had a large,

55:36

hard looking shape

55:38

at the end of it. The beast had

55:40

no feathers and that it was probably as

55:42

big as a small airplane. and

55:45

bigger than my little shiviest ten pickup. I

55:48

was in some kind of shock the

55:50

rest of the day, just walking

55:52

around and trying to function in some

55:54

kind of days. going through the

55:56

motions, but only really halfway

55:58

there. My mind was trying to come

56:00

to terms with what I

56:02

had seen. I contacted two of my friends who suggested that what

56:04

I'd really seen was a Heron, an

56:06

albatross or a

56:07

Pelican, or some other

56:09

local big bird. Even

56:11

though I told them that this creature

56:13

was huge, not big, and

56:15

had no feathers at all. I don't

56:17

know what they think I

56:20

saw, but I know what I saw, and what I

56:22

saw was a

56:24

pareodactyl. Again,

56:26

heart shaped thing at the end of its tail, like a spade,

56:28

a crest on the head, why are so

56:30

many people from different parts of the world,

56:32

especially in the US, are

56:35

seeing pareodactyls? When

56:36

we know that pareodactyls,

56:38

you know, had feathers.

56:40

So is it something

56:42

that's some kind of illusion,

56:44

some kind of thought form that everybody's projecting

56:46

because when they were kids, they saw these

56:48

dinosaur movies with pterodactyls

56:52

and because at that time they thought they were featherless. Well, now we know

56:54

the difference, but yet people are still

56:56

seeing them.

56:58

Are there still some

57:00

endava birds or rope and

57:02

still living in the jungles of

57:04

Indonesia or perhaps

57:06

South America. or perhaps just living in caves throughout the

57:08

world. I don't know, but I'm

57:10

fascinated. That's about all we have

57:12

for the segment. Let's take a

57:14

break folks you're listening

57:17

to expanded perspectives.

57:38

folks, if you've been listening to us for any

57:40

time, you know exactly where

57:42

I'm going with this. And what Kyle

57:46

and I love. The thing that has really helped

57:48

us more than anything

57:50

is Lumi Labs folks

57:52

and microdosing

57:54

THC. What's microdosing you ask? Well, it's real simple.

57:56

Like I always tell you, you can search it

57:58

up on your own or. You can go to microdose

58:00

dot com and you can start reading

58:04

up about these gummies. Now these are

58:06

the perfect entry level

58:08

doses of THC. If

58:11

you've never tried it I

58:13

think you should. Look, I really think you should.

58:16

Do you want something to really

58:18

just smooth your day out? It's something that I

58:20

use daily. It's something that how it uses

58:22

daily. Mhmm. It's something that we truly

58:24

enjoy. Anytime you need that little

58:26

extra comfort, it's what I turn

58:28

to. I turn to it when I need

58:30

to rest. I turn to it when

58:32

I'm sore, when I'm tired, when I have anxiety, I use it all

58:34

the time just simply because

58:38

I feel good when I use it. Now,

58:40

I know some of you are a little,

58:42

you know, leery, a little skeptical

58:44

on this old THC. especially

58:47

now, sometimes it's hard stuff to let go of. Right? It's hard things to

58:49

think. I'm telling you. This is a

58:51

great health benefit that

58:53

I have noticed tremendous

58:56

amounts of benefits from, from creativity,

58:59

from pain, from workout recovery,

59:01

all of that sleep. Sleep

59:04

was a big one. I was surprised at

59:06

how well it helped me sleep.

59:08

Now when we talk about the micro

59:10

dosing and you want the perfect levels

59:14

We're talking about tiny parts of not all

59:16

THC. There's a whole

59:18

array that goes into it. Right? With

59:20

flavors and

59:22

certain mixtures. and I'm gonna let mister

59:24

Wilson, the king of terpen, tell you about this. That's right. They start with

59:26

organic US grown hemp from small

59:28

family farmers who produce a

59:30

wide range of

59:32

these active hemp compounds known as cannabinoids

59:35

and teripenes. We're talking about

59:37

THC. We're talking about CBN. We're talking

59:39

about CBD. And of

59:41

course, CBG. These, of course, are the

59:43

most popular examples of these

59:46

cannabinoids and terpenes. These basically

59:48

are the

59:50

essential oils of hemp. And what they do is they extract that and they make

59:52

them into fantastic tasting,

59:54

delicious little gummies, like gummy

59:56

bears, you know, like your

59:58

soft vitamins. They're amazing. Mhmm. If you're not a big fan of gummies, I don't know who

1:00:00

you are. You must be crazy, but you can only get the tinctures.

1:00:02

You can just put the drops under the tongue.

1:00:05

It has the same effect. but

1:00:07

I love it. They got great flavors like Wild Berry,

1:00:10

watermelon Sword Bay, orange

1:00:12

cream cookies and cotton candy

1:00:14

cushion cam's favorite Grand

1:00:16

Daddy OG cushion. that. I love

1:00:18

the the sour. You can you

1:00:20

can pick not just flavors, but your types

1:00:22

of strains you want. You can get endikas.

1:00:24

You can get cetivas. You can

1:00:26

get hybrids. They have the full array.

1:00:28

And most importantly, microdose is

1:00:30

available

1:00:30

nationwide

1:00:32

folks

1:00:33

to learn more about micro

1:00:35

dosing THC. You can do a

1:00:37

quick search online or just go

1:00:39

to microdose dot com and use

1:00:41

the promo code expanded. That's EXPANDED

1:00:45

and you'll get free shipping and

1:00:47

thirty percent off your

1:00:50

first order. Now I'll put links to it in the show notes, but

1:00:52

just go to microdose dot com

1:00:54

and put in the promo code, expand

1:00:56

it to get your free

1:00:58

shipping and thirty percent off your

1:01:00

first order.

1:01:24

And we're

1:01:28

back with

1:01:31

expanded perspectives. Yes,

1:01:34

crazy, winged things seen.

1:01:36

I don't know what these are, whether it's flying humanoids,

1:01:38

whether it's terraceores, the list

1:01:40

goes on and on. What are these

1:01:43

things? Why are people seeing them? Are they harbingers of death?

1:01:45

Are they early warning signs? Are they

1:01:47

just trained observers? Like, what

1:01:50

is it? this is one of those perfect examples that I

1:01:52

didn't know what Kyle was talking about. And

1:01:54

then I've got this story and then it works

1:01:56

perfectly. Now this is the story you were gonna

1:01:58

tell us

1:02:00

before we took the break, you go ahead and lay it on me. Okay. This is

1:02:02

the one we've talked about. This is a gargoyle

1:02:06

siding. Yeah. I love gargoyle

1:02:08

siding. Yeah. over across

1:02:10

the pond folks. It says

1:02:12

whatever you want to think is okay, but

1:02:15

I assure you that the following

1:02:17

is true. some time ago, a friend and I were driving

1:02:19

home on a rural road here

1:02:21

in I wanna say it's time

1:02:23

and wear in the UK, or make

1:02:25

sure it's tini. but I know it's

1:02:27

well, I can't say it's weird because y'all have

1:02:30

the the the thymes or

1:02:32

Tim's River or what is it? It's the Yeah. Tim's

1:02:34

River. Yep. Yeah. So it says it

1:02:36

was about four AM on cold

1:02:38

night. My friend was driving slowly as there

1:02:40

was ice and hard snow as we

1:02:42

approached the

1:02:44

junction. I was in the passenger

1:02:46

seat on the left side of the car

1:02:48

in the UK. From the right

1:02:50

of the car just in front, I

1:02:53

saw a winged creature about no more than one

1:02:55

and a half to two foot in length. It came

1:02:57

flying across the road towards

1:02:59

the car. Now it

1:03:02

was white and it appeared opaque with a human like

1:03:04

face. Its wings were

1:03:06

flapping, actually flying, and

1:03:08

its knees

1:03:10

drawn up head forward, chattering, and pointing

1:03:12

ahead as if it was scolding

1:03:14

someone or complaining

1:03:16

to itself.

1:03:19

Whatever it was, it took no

1:03:21

notice of us as we drove

1:03:23

slowly forward to the turn

1:03:25

at the junction. it flew directly into the lights in front of

1:03:27

the car on the driver's

1:03:30

side. There was no sound or sign that

1:03:32

we had

1:03:34

hit anything. and it was simply gone. We didn't

1:03:36

stop. I looked at my friend and said, did you see what

1:03:38

I saw? He said a winged

1:03:40

thing and

1:03:42

kept driving. We've

1:03:44

spoken about this many times but never

1:03:46

solved the mystery as to what it was

1:03:48

or how it was there. Now

1:03:50

recently, I've looked on the Internet and the only image

1:03:52

that I can find that's pretty close to what

1:03:54

I saw as a statue of a

1:03:56

devil like gargoyle.

1:03:58

So here it is. This is what

1:04:00

it looked like. The face wasn't so

1:04:02

stream, but hey, this is just a statue on the wall. Any

1:04:04

sensible help and explanations are

1:04:08

welcome. So

1:04:11

Of course, you can go on it. It's basically any little

1:04:13

crouched up, tiny, knees drawn

1:04:16

in, a little gargoye, a little two foot

1:04:18

tall, why? So again, the only

1:04:20

thing I could think of And I'm

1:04:22

not saying this is what it is. I'm not even

1:04:24

trying to to to to

1:04:26

change this. The only thing that you could

1:04:28

possibly, in the heat of the moment,

1:04:30

and I don't know that that was this, that you could probably

1:04:32

mistaken for this would be like a white owl. Would it not? Like, you

1:04:35

might be able to mistaken a white

1:04:37

owl for it. But when

1:04:40

you start talking about the face and then they

1:04:42

said the fact that it's pointing. Well,

1:04:44

if it's pointing, it's got arms in

1:04:46

a hand. Yeah. Right? And its knees are drawn up, this whole thing.

1:04:48

So if it flew by quickly

1:04:50

and you didn't have that detail, you could be like, well,

1:04:52

it was a gargoyle or it was a white whale. But

1:04:54

when you start throwing that detail

1:04:56

down. And then the fact that it

1:04:58

disappeared when it flew into the light and the headlights

1:05:00

of the front of the car.

1:05:02

So either really easy, I

1:05:04

thought about this. If you've

1:05:06

got your headlights on, right, and it's at

1:05:08

night, and it's pitch black

1:05:10

except for those headlights. If you were to whip,

1:05:12

let's say, a solid white piece of

1:05:14

poster board, in front of a

1:05:16

headlight. Right? Yeah. I mean, he makes

1:05:18

kind of a glare. Mhmm. You know what I mean? Boom.

1:05:20

It's real bright. Boom. The

1:05:22

lights reflecting then you may not see that it just went down beside the car and

1:05:24

went off the back. If you just flash that and

1:05:26

then took off. Right? Right. I'm not saying

1:05:28

it's gonna blind you, but maybe you're caught at the

1:05:30

moment, you

1:05:32

don't know. Maybe that's all it was.

1:05:34

That thing flew along the side of the car and was gone. Or

1:05:36

it used the light

1:05:38

use the light as

1:05:40

a doorway to go into whatever realm it comes

1:05:42

out of. Maybe. I don't know.

1:05:45

Just some crazy explanations, but There's

1:05:48

another weird humanoid figure

1:05:50

-- Yeah. -- at this time in the UK. I love

1:05:52

the stories of the gargoyles. Right?

1:05:54

It's crazy. Like, what

1:05:56

could be Honestly, what could people be mistaking that

1:05:58

for? There's look, I've does

1:05:59

it seem to you like more and more sightings are

1:06:02

happening? I think more

1:06:04

and more Either it's ramping

1:06:06

up or just more and more people are finally

1:06:08

talking about it, like we've always

1:06:10

discussed, is what because of the

1:06:12

popularity of these shows on podcast

1:06:14

and on YouTube, people are more

1:06:16

apt to share the minute

1:06:18

they see something crazy. We're

1:06:21

twenty years ago, it wasn't that way. I agree

1:06:23

with you. You had to pry it out of
