Hope, as a concept, has a very rich history within the Bible. It is integral to our definition of faith. It is central to our understanding of afterlife. It is woven into almost every important narrative we love. For a Christian “hope” is an alternative to the Pollyanna thinking so many turn to when confronted by a world plagued by darkness. Therefore, its meaning is crucial to us.
