Trading places is a breakthrough management initiative which was first introduced at Douglas OHI 4 years ago.
Where  2 members of the management team, along with an executive from Sagar Polyclinic swapped their executive roles for a hands-on operational role to get a unique perspective on Douglas OHI operations  This is a great opportunity to demonstrate we care for our workforce and understand how we can improve working environment for our employees

What is Trading Places? and what we cover on the podcast.

· Aaron & Peter introduced Trading Places, where members of the management team swapped their executive roles for a hands-on operational role. 

·  The trading places initiative kicked off in January 2019 has given us a wider understanding of operations and what employees experience on a daily basis - that we simply could not get from sitting in the office.
 It has also demonstrated to our employees that we care and that we are committed to providing a better working environment and also it showed :

• Initiative demonstrated:
• A tangible demonstration of visible leadership
• A better understanding of challenges faced by our junior employees
• Test drive the effectiveness of our HSSE processes and procedure
• Brought employees and management closer leading to progress and positive change, and acted as a catalyst for change in our welfare policies - by understanding the reality of the day-to-day operations, we are better informed to make better decisions. 
• Also led to a company-wide cultural survey.
