Big news today, Candace Owens

0:03

has announced that she

0:05

became Catholic. It

0:09

happens last week. I was

0:11

talking to her husband, George

0:13

Farmer today when the news

0:15

came out and it

0:18

happened in London at the oratory, Father

0:20

Julian. And here's the tweet right here.

0:23

Recently, I made the decision to go home. This

0:26

is, of course, so much

0:28

more. There is, of course, so

0:30

much more that went into this decision and that I

0:32

plan to share in the future. But

0:34

for now, praise be to God

0:36

for his gentle but relentless guiding

0:39

of my heart toward truth. So

0:41

do not fear, for I am with you. Do

0:43

not be dismayed, for I am your God. I

0:46

will strengthen you and help you. I

0:48

will uphold you with my righteous hand. I

0:51

do not fear Christ is

0:53

King. Blessed

0:56

be God. Welcome to the Catholic Church, Candace

0:58

Owens, who kind of been hinting

1:00

along the way here. I interviewed

1:02

George Farmer. It was an excellent interview. I'd encourage

1:04

you to go back and check it out. He

1:06

talks a lot about his marriage to Candace Owens.

1:08

We will put that link up

1:10

here in your top right corner of

1:14

the YouTube screen there. And

1:16

this is, I think, signaling a movement of more and

1:18

more people being open to God

1:22

faith, but in particular, Jesus

1:25

Christ, Christ is King. And what

1:27

does it mean to be a

1:30

disciple of Jesus Christ? More

1:33

and more people are looking to

1:35

the Catholic Church. Why? Well, there's a

1:37

lot of confusion in the Catholic Church, a

1:40

lot of scandals, but there's also

1:42

something permanent. There's something perennial, something

1:45

going back 2000 years. People

1:48

are confused about what is matrimony? In

1:50

Catholicism, matrimony is

1:53

a sacrament. What

1:55

is human life? Is abortion wrong? Is

1:57

euthanasia wrong? The Catholic Church has very

2:00

clear teaching on

2:02

all these topics. Candace

2:06

Owens is married to George Farmer,

2:09

very vocal, very intelligent, Catholic.

2:11

He went to Oxford. He's a very successful

2:14

businessman. I consider him a friend and

2:16

I think this is the beginning

2:19

of an impressive arc for

2:23

Candace Owens. She's

2:25

baptized. She's received her first communion

2:27

and I'd like to do some

2:29

Q&A from y'all and get

2:32

your perspective on her

2:35

conversion. Do you see this happening? I think

2:38

we did. There's been enough hints. Christ

2:40

is king and of course

2:42

her influence by her husband

2:44

all that. So what do y'all think? Is

2:47

this a game-changer? And

2:50

you know I'll

2:52

just throw this out. Oh by the way, I

2:54

will be doing a collaboration with

2:57

Candace. Don't have dates, don't

2:59

have details, but God willing

3:02

that will happen. So I look

3:04

forward to announcing that. So stay

3:07

tuned and make sure you're subscribed.

3:11

Alright here is Kakashi

3:14

just waiting for this. Welcome

3:16

Candace. God bless. Love

3:19

it. Fantastic. Beautiful

3:22

news of a beautiful soul. Praise

3:24

God. Candace

3:28

Owens is becoming a member of

3:30

anti-Pope Francis group. I

3:33

don't know how you made that conclusion. Interesting

3:35

perspective. Why don't we give her a chance

3:38

to be Catholic for maybe

3:40

a month before we start making

3:42

judgments. Colleen

3:45

says I'm so excited for her. Just

3:47

heard the news. Huge fan. Love

3:50

it. Suzy says excited for Candace.

3:56

W. Amen. Let's Go. Let's Go. Praise.

5:38

Mary, I could see you're coming

5:40

along bit by bit. Her hunger

5:43

and relentless pursuit of truth has

5:45

led her here. I knew this

5:47

was going to happen. Yea, Welcome

5:49

Candace! It's a beautiful rich. Faith

5:52

is Jordan Peterson next assed: Damien.

5:54

Welcome home is Tucker Carlson

5:57

next ass Matty. Welcome.

5:59

6:01

Holdsworth has some great points about the new

6:03

celebrity Catholics and his latest. Interesting.

6:07

I love Candace. Welcome home, Candace. Welcome

6:10

to the fullness of faith. Welcome home.

6:12

Fabulous news. Everybody is excited

6:16

and I'm excited too. You

6:18

know, when I interviewed George

6:20

Farmer later last year, again,

6:22

please check out my channel, Dr. Taylor Marshall

6:25

podcast. It's a, I think it's

6:27

at least a two hour interview. It's in two parts

6:29

with George Farmer. He and

6:31

I discussed the change in

6:33

the influencer space 2016.

6:37

This is sort of

6:39

the rise of the Trump media era.

6:42

This is when a lot of people

6:44

started doing consuming and producing independent

6:49

media, independent journalism. So you no

6:51

longer had to go to Fox

6:53

news. You, you no longer

6:55

had to go to CNN. You

6:57

could turn on YouTube or was

7:00

rumble around back then. I can't remember. You

7:02

could turn on podcasts, iTunes and

7:04

you could consume and begin listening

7:07

to new voices with new

7:09

perspectives that hadn't been vetted

7:12

by the big media mobiles

7:15

that started a whole new thing in 2016. And

7:18

when you saw the rise of Jordan

7:20

Peterson, Joe Rogan got big. You know, I

7:22

remember listening to Joe Rogan as a jiu-jitsu

7:24

guy, just cause I liked to jitsu. And

7:27

then all of a sudden it seemed like in, by

7:29

2020, like soccer moms

7:31

were listening to Joe Rogan.

7:33

So an explosion of influencers

7:36

and over time, that influencer space

7:38

has grown and has become more

7:40

and more conservative.

7:42

It's veering right. Look

7:45

at, may not be all

7:47

the way Catholic, right? Like

7:50

Biblical Catholic Traditional Catholicism, but

7:52

it has veered, right? Even

7:54

I would say Joe Rogan

7:56

has veered right over time.

7:58

Russell Brand. During right.

8:02

More. More conservative positions pray

8:04

the rosary keeping meant. Jordan.

8:07

Peterson. More and more of

8:09

a kind of a Catholic message his wife

8:11

became Catholic. At. Easter. So there's

8:14

been this growth and I

8:16

think George Farmer has. A

8:18

good. A. Good sense

8:21

to this. He understands the pulse of it

8:23

that are now. Moving towards

8:25

a new moment. I

8:27

think a lot of it will depend on who was

8:29

elected president. This. Year.

8:32

What happens politically? But I

8:34

think we're starting to see

8:36

that being. Just Pro

8:39

America. Pro. Democracy

8:41

Pro Conservative. Pro.

8:43

Republican isn't enough. I

8:46

think there's a lot of disillusionment

8:48

with Trump right now. I. Know if

8:50

I say that people will come out, start throwing

8:52

stones. I don't want to get in. there are

8:54

now, but I think there is a little bit.

8:56

There's definitely a lot of disillusionment with. The.

8:58

Republican Party On with

9:00

our leadership and with

9:03

what we want. Society.

9:05

To. Be do we want it to be

9:07

a or leaning democracy or do we

9:09

want something more robust and this has

9:12

to do with. The. Persecution we

9:14

seen over at Daily Wire over

9:16

a crisis king. This

9:19

has to do with our discussion

9:21

over America. These are the Israel,

9:23

these of he Ukraine, Visa the

9:26

Latin America. How does

9:28

all had? All these fit together and.

9:31

Is the constitution enough? Or do

9:33

we need scripture? Do.

9:35

We need Christianity. Can

9:39

we actually infuse and

9:41

inject a Christian ethos

9:44

into our culture? Get.

9:49

Other voices as well. You know you see somebody

9:51

I don't approve them that Not a huge fan

9:53

but Andrew Tate. Becoming. Muslim.

9:55

Is he consistently Muslim? I don't know. I

9:58

don't know, but you see, So even

10:00

in those kind of voices. A.

10:04

Interest in Religiosity although I

10:06

totally disagree with. Islam

10:09

False Religion Mohammed False Prophet.

10:14

And then join our talking about

10:16

this earlier. The Evan Gelato space seems

10:18

to be a little bit more fractured.

10:20

It's you know, you kind of saw

10:23

in the nineteen nineties, in the two

10:25

thousand, the demise of the all Denominations

10:27

Lutheran. A piss good palin. Presbyterian.

10:32

Baptist Nice might. but in the

10:34

back to start a rebranding themselves,

10:36

not as First Baptist. Podunk.

10:39

Taxes but as something like.

10:42

You. Know Water Spring

10:44

Community Fellowship. right?

10:46

Rebrand themselves to not be denominational. that

10:48

can a gay way to this mega

10:51

church. Nondenominational.

10:55

Phenomenon. But now we're

10:57

starting to see. Some fractures in

10:59

that, what does that mean And I

11:01

think the cove Id. Twenty. Twenty

11:04

Twenty Twenty One Twenty Twenty Two

11:06

Where people weren't going to church

11:08

they started live stream is are

11:10

watching it on Tv Now The

11:12

question is what I'm watching This

11:15

amazing preacher with these messages? And

11:17

that's what I'm getting. From. This church.

11:20

Why? Would I even drive? Park in

11:22

the parking lot? Go inside. Why?

11:24

Not just consume and on line.

11:27

The Catholics and the Orthodox have

11:29

an answer which is. Worship

11:31

as a sacrifice. Worshippers

11:33

The Eucharist worship is.

11:37

The son of God. Body. Boards

11:39

on Divinity offering himself.

11:41

To. The father. In.

11:43

The Unity The Holy Spirit. So.

11:46

Worship is the sacrifice of the mass.

11:48

It's the eucharist. Exact revised and we

11:50

go to church. Not simple in here.

11:52

A sermon. Or a good message

11:54

or bible study. We go to church, to

11:58

enter into the mystery of Christ once

12:00

and for all oblation sacrifice to the

12:03

Father. The worship of Christ to the

12:05

Father is perfect. Our worship is horrible.

12:09

Our worship is human. Our worship is sinful. Our

12:12

worship is yanking.

12:15

But by bringing whatever brokenness we have

12:17

and uniting it to Jesus on the

12:19

cross in the Eucharistic sacrifice of the

12:21

mass, we have true

12:23

worship. And you can't watch

12:26

that on a TV. You

12:28

can't stream that. You have to

12:30

be there. That

12:35

right there keeps people coming to church.

12:38

It gives meaning

12:41

to worship where you don't have

12:43

to constantly update the music, update

12:46

the worship, update the

12:49

special effects of it. Whether

12:51

the holy sacrifice of the mass happens in a

12:53

barn, a basilica, a

12:56

cathedral, or anywhere in

13:01

between, no matter how humble or

13:03

how grand, it's still

13:06

the same worship.

13:09

It's based in a sacramental,

13:12

metaphysical, ontological reality

13:14

that we can't see with our

13:16

eyes, but we perceive it

13:18

by faith that the

13:21

little host of bread, insignificant,

13:24

not impressive in a

13:27

chalice of wine, is

13:31

transformed, transubstantiated. A

13:34

metaphysical miracle

13:36

happens so that pieces

13:39

of flat bread

13:41

become the body of the

13:43

living and true good of

13:46

the Son, Jesus Christ. And

13:48

that the wine becomes the blood of redemption,

13:50

the blood of atonement. And

13:53

that this body and blood,

13:55

soul and divinity of Jesus Christ

13:58

is offered to the

14:00

Father. It's the one and same offering of Jesus

14:02

on the cross. It's not a repetition. It's

14:05

a union with that. Through

14:07

the Holy Spirit, we enter

14:09

into that reality. There's

14:11

a lot of voices in Catholicism who are

14:13

saying, we need to get away from that

14:16

idea. It's too tridentine. It's

14:18

too medieval. We need to make

14:21

worship more communal, more

14:23

holding hands, more

14:26

about music and performance

14:28

and rhetorical sermons. But

14:33

at the core of Catholic worship is

14:35

the Mass. And I

14:38

think as in the post-COVID

14:40

era with Protestants

14:42

looking for meaning and for what

14:44

is worship and Catholics in the

14:46

post-Nobus Ordo era, more

14:49

and more people are going to look for traditional

14:51

Catholicism. I'll tell you right now, Candace

14:54

Owens received a traditional

14:56

Roman baptism, the old

14:58

school. Old

15:01

school. As you know, George Farmer, he's traditional. He goes

15:03

to Latin Mass. This

15:05

is going to be the

15:08

true, real, historic, ancient form of

15:10

Catholicism that is going to be

15:13

perennial. It is going to endure.

15:15

And everything that is gimmicky and

15:19

rooted in our

15:21

modern culture, contemporary culture,

15:25

contemporary is always changing. You

15:27

know, the contemporary songs that you hear

15:29

at contemporary Novus Ordo masses are straight-up

15:31

1970s, 1980s. They are no longer contemporary

15:33

for 2024, but there are

15:38

clergy, priests and nuns who are pushing it. The

15:40

youth will love it. The youth will love it.

15:43

It's so contemporary and it sounds like Bob Dylan.

15:45

It sounds like Peter, Paul, and Mary. So

15:48

I think this is a great moment. Welcome

15:50

home to Candace Owens. She gets it. I

15:53

think politically she's been developing. I think

15:56

obviously in her faith and

15:59

in her marriage with George, she is

16:01

starting to discover the beauty of motherhood,

16:04

the beauty of procreation, the

16:06

sacredness of life. She

16:09

is becoming much

16:12

deeper in her perspective.

16:14

It's not just about, you know,

16:17

she started off and she was talking about Brexit

16:19

and all these, these great things on it, but

16:21

now we're starting to see Candice

16:25

as a metaphysical thinker

16:29

as a mother who

16:32

also has a voice for the

16:34

culture. And now her voice is

16:37

going to be infused with sanctifying grace.

16:40

She is going to be receiving the

16:43

holy Eucharist at the holy sacrifice of

16:45

the mass. She's going to be raising

16:47

her children to

16:49

be Catholic Christians.

16:54

Her understanding of motherhood is going to

16:56

be formed by the blessed Virgin Mary,

16:58

by the Rosary. I think

17:00

this is going to be an amazing arc

17:02

and it's an invitation to everyone. I know

17:04

there's people watching right now who

17:06

probably aren't Catholic. I realize more and more

17:08

people watch the Dr. Taylor Marshall podcast. They're

17:11

not Catholic. I would like to

17:13

make an invitation to all

17:16

my friends to go

17:18

deeper in your faith and to look into

17:20

the seven sacraments, baptism,

17:23

confirmation, Eucharist,

17:26

penance, extreme unction, holy orders, and matrimony.

17:28

I put a tweet out this morning

17:30

that kind of went viral. You

17:33

know, one of the things that Martin Luther did and

17:35

John Calvin and the church of England, the

17:37

Lutherans, they said matrimony

17:39

is not a sacrament. And

17:42

what they did is they took marriage

17:45

away from the church, really

17:47

away from God, and they placed it

17:49

in the state. And

17:52

when you do that, the state begins to define

17:54

what marriage is and what do you get? You

17:56

get divorce. You redefine

17:58

marriage. Redefine Mail

18:01

you redefine female. And

18:04

you get the mess that we have now are:

18:06

No one even knows what Humanists, No one knows

18:08

what a. Boy. Is or a

18:10

girl. And what marriages? And

18:12

who can marry? Who is it To

18:14

people? Three people. Polyamory. A

18:17

boy And a boy. Or girl In a girl.

18:20

Three people who knows. That's because

18:22

you've taken matrimony and you d classified

18:24

as and you said it's nice argument.

18:28

Is. Now. Part. Of our

18:30

cultural arrangement and the state.

18:33

And guess what? It gets redefined.

18:35

You have to take matrimony. Say

18:37

it's a sacrament. He

18:39

was instituted by God in the

18:42

garden. It was elevated and hallowed

18:44

and sanctified by Jesus Christ with

18:46

his first miracle. Changing.

18:48

Of water into wine. At

18:51

the wedding at Cana. That.

18:53

Was his very first public miracle.

18:56

How did happen People came to

18:58

Jesus? Know. People.

19:00

Came to the Virgin Mary. Read

19:03

and John's gospel and they say hey when

19:05

I have any more wine. His

19:07

wedding. They go

19:09

to marry for the very first miracle. Does

19:11

marry what worked a miracle? Nope. He's not

19:14

the Sunnah got. To

19:16

the Mother of the son of God. And

19:19

she says do whatever he

19:21

tells you to do. That's.

19:25

What made us And that is what Marry

19:28

says to every single Christians ever baptized. Do

19:30

whatever Jesus tells you to do. The

19:33

very first miracle. The

19:35

public manifestation of Jesus Christ and a supernatural

19:37

powers marry says do it every day and

19:39

what are they What as you say he's

19:41

is. Fill up the parts, But.

19:44

Water them and then he

19:46

transforms water into wine. In.

19:49

Celebration. Of what.

19:52

Holy. Matrimony Marriage Culture

19:54

says that Christ Our dates

19:57

matrimony to the level of.

20:00

sacrament at the

20:02

wedding of Cana. Because matrimony

20:04

is an icon. It

20:06

is an image. It is a reflection of

20:09

Jesus Christ and

20:11

the church. The

20:14

church is the bride of Christ. Is

20:16

Jesus a polygamist? Does he have many

20:19

churches, many wives,

20:21

many brides? No.

20:23

And I would say, if you're

20:25

an evangelical, if you're a Protestant, think about that. There

20:28

is one true church. There is one true church in AD

20:30

33. There's one true church in AD 100. There is one

20:32

true church

20:35

in 1000, 1500, 2000, 2024. There's one church. It may

20:37

get messy. It may get complicated. Can

20:44

there be corruption in the church? Yes. Can there

20:46

be infiltration in the church? Yes. I wrote a whole

20:48

book about it. Check it out.

20:50

Infiltration. Get it at Amazon. Get

20:52

the audible. Yes,

20:54

there's bad stuff, but you don't get to

20:56

create a new bride. You

20:59

don't get to create a new wife

21:01

for Jesus. You stick with

21:04

the one bride of

21:06

Christ, the one church, and you

21:08

fight for her. So

21:12

marriage is important because it is a

21:14

reflection of this mystery between Jesus Christ,

21:16

the bridegroom, and the church

21:18

of Jesus Christ, the one holy Catholic

21:20

and apostolic church, going all the way

21:23

back unbroken to AD 33. And

21:25

you could even argue as the fulfillment

21:27

in the development of ancient Israel and

21:31

the chosen people of God, going back

21:33

to Abraham, but even going back to

21:35

Noah, even going back to repentant Adam

21:37

and Eve and their children, not all

21:39

of them who did follow the promises

21:41

of God. Great moment.

21:44

Candace Owens is

21:47

21:49
