Welcome to our first bonus episode. Lavender Girls: Coming Out was created by our friends Monica Mills and Joana Borges. Monica has devised a creative interpretation of lesbian cinema, focussing on sapphic presenting films in the 21st century and painted abstract artwork of monumental coming out moments within lesbian cinema - however that may come about. Each piece has a specific time-stamp to go alongside it and sets out to convey the importance of lesbian representation for the LGBTQIA+ community. Monica also takes us along her journey of realising and understanding her sexuality and how that was aided by media representation. We’d like to thank Monica and Joana for allowing us to partake in this project! We cannot wait to welcome them to DLDT Podcast in the future.
