This episode we’re recapping Clea DuVall’s lesbian Christmas romcom; Happiest Season.

While Molly loves the Christmas Season, Becca is a bit of a grinch. Family Christmas is never easy especially when reputation matters and you’re hiding a huge secret. We discuss our love for Jane and John, middle child syndrome, sibling rivalry, the toxicity of heteronormative society and the closet and being friends with your girlfriends ex.  As well as drawing parallels to our own lives, which made this a very interesting and realistic watch and the what we think would happen had there been a different director.

With Becca’s focus on Aubrey Plaza and Molly’s on a dead fish subplot what more could you want from a Christmas themed film?
