Characters that feel real and grew on me quickly. I particularly like the relatively easy-going pace and inter-party chemistry.

A hilarious group of wonderful players who each have crafted some of the most interesting and well-fleshed characters I have listened to. Not only is there one, but TWO kenkus, so you really get your moneys worth! Also not to mention it is set within a fully home-brewed setting? Discount Dungeons shows what it truly feels like to be around a table throwing dice and feeling the camaraderie of good friends. Having some time played before recording, the group pulls you in almost instantly. If you haven't checked them out, you are missing out on one of the best deals out there in the TTRPG community.

Discount Dungeons, where you get two Kenku for the price of one! This is a podcast well worth a listen (even if it weren't on sale for half off!) Starting off in media res, Discount drops you right into the action, as this ragtag group of friends flees for their lives. It quickly becomes clear that the group has history, both the characters AND the players, given their amusing banter and inside jokes. At the end of the day D&D is about fun, and it's clear as day this group is having the time of their life. Follow along as they get out of the frying pan, and into the fire!Quick note: with so many players, I highly recommend you listen to the Prologue episode to get a quick idea of who's who!

My only regret is I didn't start listening to Discount Dungeons earlier! From the start, this show hits the ground running! With complex characters, a great story, and clear friendship all around the table, Discount Dungeons have everything they need for a great podcast! Def add them to your list, and listen! Great story line. Amusing characters. And very well drawn out environment.This show does a good job roping you in from the beginning and is very easy to imagine the world and characters. The story is intriguing and I can’t wait to see where it leads!

Birds Staring Daggers now 50% off!This podcast is another that takes you back to that classic feeling at the table. With a group of travellers who are caught up in something over their head while they watch gnolls create an army before their very eyes. Right from the get go you could tell these characters have had a bit of table time already as they were very fleshed out and had personalities going strong and bouncing off of one another, which gets you pretty quick into the party dynamic. The DM does a great job at building the scene around you and describing where the party is at, which is a much needed skill in this medium! One minor thing I did i ran into was that i felt a little lost during the first episode, the trailer helped fill in some gaps but it might be good to have a little more explanation at the beginning of the first episode. This is a minor thing and I feel like after listening for a little it was easy enough to piece it all together! Other than that it was a very fun listen! With only a few episodes out so far you can quickly marathon this good good podcast and get excited for the next episode! So if you’re looking for a more classic D&D game feel, feel like gnolls don’t get enough screen time in campaigns, and want some high stakes right off the hop, then get on this podcast because the discount is unreal!

Discount Dungeons has a definite feel of all being around a table together. The laughs pick up from the beginning and don't seem to stop, unless there's a serious story moment of course. We cannot recommend enough to give these peeps a try if you're looking for a good TTRPG podcast! - WMS

A fantastic collection of characters who never taken themselves seriously coupled with a DM who has a seemingly endless supply of curveballs to throw at the party. You guys are awesome and I look forward to listening to the rest of the show!
