Here’s a teaching snippet:

“In this podcast, we will discuss one of those golden nuggets, (just like the dinosaurs) that sometimes calls the Christian faith into question and that is, “what exactly is the age of the earth upon which we stand?” …Now traditional Christians will state firmly that the earth was created in six days and any suggestion to the contrary, is an apostate view. And of course when you look at the creation account of ‘this current world,’ it was completed in six literal days as the bible says (more on this current world shortly)… Now according to scientists, the earth is 4.5 billion years old, based on radiometric data fragments from the ‘Canyon Diablo iron meteorite’ but they also warn they could be off by plus or minus 50 million years, so no big deal! Why not plus or minus 1 billion?! The truth is, no-one was there to see creation when it occurred, so no-one really knows how old the earth really is! Now, what got my attention when I first became a believer in Christ; is God’s command to Adam and Eve to ‘replenish’ the earth. If you’ll recall, God commanded Adam and Eve to replenish the earth in Gen 1:28, which infers they were ‘repopulating’ an earth that was once inhabited in a prior timeframe, lets read this passage now…” – Pastor Carl
