Is today's media being used as a form of mind control to the American public? If not could it be used as such? Hey, folks ever see a young man who was born and raised in the American heartland, 100% pure country boy who dresses and acts like an inner city rap star? Well, I have. Have you ever seen a young girl dress and look like a female rapper or rock star? I have. The fact is we all have. So what is my point? There are those who believe that cable TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, billboards, internet, etc. have nothing to do with the way Americans act. Ok, Remember the 1950's how many guys wore their hair and side burns like Elvis Presley and James Dean? The 1960's How many people tried to dress and act like the Beatles? Millions. In the 1970's? How many people took disco lessons, and went to the local disco on Friday, and Saturday nights? Millions. Anyone remember a movie called, "Saturday Night Fever"? How many people saw that movie? Millions. What's my point? The media produces it, promotes it, sells it, gets BIG name celebs to endorse it, and wow, we are sold it.
