Breaking Down the Supreme Court’s Decision to Redefine “Sex” in Major LGBT Case

The United States Supreme Court came down with a landmark decision in Bostock v. Clayton County that will have sweeping consequences for religious freedom, free speech, and the privacy and safety of women.

In a surprising 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the 1964 Civil Rights Act’s inclusion of “sex” as a protected category was broad enough to encompass sexual orientation and transgenderism, an extension which Congress has repeatedly rejected.

On this week’s Capitol Connection Podcast, hear what this decision means for religious freedom, how it will impact people of faith and religious organizations, and what politicians and religious leaders are saying in response.
