Mridula Amin has achieved so much in her short career as a reporter and photojournalist. Her work focuses on topics of migration, identity and social justice in the Asia-Pacific region and has been featured by National Geographic, ABC, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, SBS, and VICE News and The New York Times. She's also been nominated for a Young Journalist of the Year Walkley Award and was a SUNSTUDIOS Emerging Photographer Award 2019 Runner Up. Impressive, right?!
Before recording this episode Mridula and Jarrad had never met, but after getting to know each other they discovered they share similar backgrounds and lived experiences that shaped the way they photograph today. It's an interesting chat between the two, who also explore what it's like to be a photojournalist in the unprecedented year of 2020.
Enjoy!
